평면에서의 다차원적 공간의 표현기법을 활용한 시각적 표현연구

Abstract

아동의 창의력 사고 향상에 있어서 창의적 사고를 증진시켜 줄 수 있는 교육 환경, 교사의 교육 방법, 학습 자료 구비 등의 외부적 조건의 조성은 그 중요성이 점차 대두되고 있다. 그 이유는 창의적 사고가 냉철한 이성적 판단을 기초로 성립하는 논리적 사고나 비판적 사고와는 달리 주변의 분위기나 주위의 압력에 의해 결정적인 영향을 받기 때문이다. 미래 학자 앨빈 토플러는 미래 사회의 특징을 신기성(novelty), 잠시성(transiency), 다양성(diversity)의 세 가지로 구분하면서 급변하는 새로운 상황에서는 상식이나 기존의 생활 방식이 통하지 않기 때문에 아동이 환경의 변화에 새롭게 적응하는 방식을 스스로 개발하고 대처해 나갈 수 있도록 능력을 키워주어야 한다고 주장한 바 있다. 그러므로 우리 교육의 방향도 어린이들이 미래 정보 사회에 능동적으로 대처하고, 합리적인 사고를 바탕으로 새로운 방법을 찾아 해결해 나갈 수 있도록 창의성 교육에 맞추어져야 하겠다. 비록 근래에 열린 교육의 열풍과 함께 학습자 중심의 교수-학습이 보편화 되면서 어린이들의 능동적인 사고기능이 중시되고 있으나, 아직도 문제해결에 있어 어린이들이 스스로의 창조적 사고를 충분히 활용하도록 지도하기에는 교육현장의 창의성 교육에 대한 이해와 경험이 부족한 것이 사실이다. 이의 해결을 위해 교육 현장은 우선 창의성 교육을 위한 환경을 조성하고 아동의 창의력 신장을 돕는 교육 프로그램의 연구 및 개선이 모색되어야 할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 인지발달이론에 근거하여 아동의 공간에 대한 인식을 확장시키고 공간과 차원의 변화에 따른 창의성 계발을 위한 공간지각능력의 향상에 주목하여, 다양한 창의적 공간에 대한 표현을 연구, 분석을 통해 평면에서의 다차원적 공간 표현 을 연구하여 아동의 창의력을 향상시키기 위한 방법을 찾고자 하였다. 먼저 아동의 창의력 향상을 위한 교재로 사용 되어지는 그림책 및 아동교구의 실태를 파악하고 공간인지력과 창의성의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 아동으로 하여금 새로운 시각적 자료를 제시할 필요성이 있고 창의적인 사고를 증진시킬 수 있는 방법으로 아동의 공간개념에 대한 확장과 변화를 통해 보다 창의적인 사고를 유도할 수 있는 다차원적인 공간의 표현을 시도하였다. 이의 연구를 위해 피카소, 에셔, 스타인버그의 작품세계를 분석하고 그들의 작품에서 나타난 공간과 차원에 대한 해석을 기초로 하여 기존 공간에서 볼 수 없는 가상의 공간을 연출하는데 중점을 두어 아동의 창의력을 향상시킬 수 있는 공간의 변화 즉, 평면에서의 다차원적 공간을 중심으로 작품을 제작하였다. 이의 검증을 위하여 서울시 송파구에 위치한 K초등학교 2곳의 1,2학년에 재학 중인 공간지각력의 발달 과정에 있는 구체적 조작기의 아동 6인을 연구 대상으로 삼아 개인 면담을 통한 정성 조사를 실시하였다. 정성 조사의 결과를 통해서 평면에서의 다차원적인 공간에 변화를 준 작품이 아동의 공간지각력과 인지 발달에 도움을 주고 아동으로 하여금 창의력 향상의 교육적 효과를 기대할 수 있으며 나아가 공간지각력의 발달과 차원적 사고의 향상을 통한 교육 프로그램의 개발이 아동의 창의력 향상을 위한 교육에 이바지할 수 있는지 그 적합성과 가능성을 살펴보았다.;The importance of the early stages of the composition of outer conditions, such as education environment, instructor’s education procedures, and other learning materials and equipments that can improve the creativity solutions in children’s creativity development is slowly rising. The reason is that the creativity solutions are definite influences from the environmental factors and stresses as supposed to the logical or critical speculations which are comprised of dispassionate rational judgments as the fundamentals. A futurologist, Alvin Toffler, claims as he distinguishes the three characteristics of future society as novelty, transiency, and diversity that, in the rapidly changing new environment, the common knowledge or standard of living methods are not affective to children’s method of adapting to the environmental changes in order to develop the competence to be able to individually develop and manage on their own. Therefore, our education approach must take these measures actively in the future intelligence for children, and find new methods of solutions in order to meet the creativity development with reasonable measurements to be as basis. Although the active measures of children’s competence has become a serious consideration in the teaching studies focused on instructors with the recent trend of interest in education, still lacks understanding and experience on the creativity education of creative facility in order to guide the children to develop their creative ability with practical application fully. To find the solution, the education facilities must first constitute an environment for creative education, and have the composition in development and improvement of education programs that assist in children’s creative physical ability. Moreover, this study is to be evident in the theory of cognitive development in order to expand the recognition on the issues of children’s space, and to focus on the knowledge of the children’s space perception for creative levels of development depending on the space and the levels of differences, and to find the methods to improve children’s creativity by application of Perspective Magic through research and analysis on various expressions of creative space. First, after exploring the relationship of the cognitive power of space perception and the level of creativity and understand the actual condition of children’s education instruments such as illustration books that are used as teaching materials for the development of children’s creativity, new visual materials for the children is needed and in doing so attempt to induce a more creative expression through changes and improvements on the children’s space perception as a method of increasing the creative elements in children. For this study, various works by Picasso, Escher, Steinburg were analyzed as the fundamentals in interpreting the different levels of space perception and by introducing imaginative space perception through practical application such as the Perspective Magic which can not be expressed in the existing facilities to be the central focus so that the children’s creative power can be improved with these changes in space perception. To verify this study, a qualitative interview was performed on six(6) 1st and 2nd grade children volunteers from K-Elementary School in 2 locations from Seoul Songpa-Gu in researching the cognitive power of space perception development process through the practical application of the Perspective Magic. From the qualitative research, those children with changes in the different levels of space helped develop cognition and cognitive power of space perception, and can anticipate the education effectiveness of the improvement in their creative strength, and explored the possibility and compatibility of servicing the development program through advance growth in cognitive power of space perception and different levels of elements.
