교실 색채환경 개선을 위한 모델개발

Abstract

오늘날 문화와 경제의 눈부신 성장으로 인해 인간의 생활수준은 향상되면서 공간의 환경에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 특히 정보 매체의 영향으로 색채가 인식을 자극하는 주도적 계기가 되면서 공간을 표현하는 대표적 방식으로서 색채효과는 간과할 수 없는 중요한 문제로 부각되고 있다. 실내에 있어 색의 사용은 심미성 외에도 육체적, 정신적 활동에 영향을 미친다. 성장기 아동은 성인에 비해 환경의 영향을 많이 받는다. 그러므로 초등학교 건축은 아동의 학습 공간으로서 뿐만 아니라 생활의 장소로서 아름답고 쾌적한 교육환경이 되도록 더욱 주의를 기해 계획되어져야 할 것이다. 우리는 그동안 학교 변화와 개혁에 많은 노력을 기울였지만 현재 우리나라 대부분의 초등학교 시설은 건축 재료와 외관, 시공 상의 개선에 주목해 온 정도이며, 실내 색채환경 계획에 대한 연구나 개선 등은 거의 미미한 실정이었다. 초등학교 건축의 실내색채 계획은 각 교실의 기능 및 용도에 따라 합리적으로 계획되어야 하기도 하지만, 하루의 일과 중 학교에서 절대시간을 보내는 초등학교 학생들에게 학교는 단지 지식습득의 장소로서 뿐만 아니라 생활의 장소로서 아동의 심리적, 생리적, 사회적 발달에 긍정적 영향을 미칠 수 있는 중요한 요소를 고려해야만 한다. 본 연구에서는 그동안 무분별하게 답습되어온 전통적 학교 교실의 색채관에 대해 점검하고 아동의 성장과 창의력 및 학습능력을 신장시킬 수 있는 실험적 교실 색채계획의 유형을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 범위는 크게 아동과 색채의 관계와 아동의 발달 단계에 따른 색채환경의 영향을 이론적으로 고찰한 뒤 아동의 정서안정과 능력 발달을 위한 교실 색채환경을 제시하는 것으로 그 구체적 연구 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문헌을 통해 아동 발달에 따른 색채 및 색채환경이 아동에게 미치는 영향을 조사하고 둘째, 초등학교 환경색채에 대한 일반적 고찰, 국내·외 환경색채 사례를 비교 분석하고 셋째, 국외의 학교용 표준색을 통해 아동의 정신적 신체적 성장과 발달을 고려한 초등학교 교실 색채 계획의 기본적인 틀을 마련한다. 완성된 표준색은 투시도를 통하여 올바른 교실 색채환경의 시안을 제안할 것이다. 이는 시대의 흐름에 부합하지 못하는 교육환경의 개선안이 되어 줄 뿐 아니라 학교 색채환경의 표준안을 법으로 규정하는 데 많은 영향을 줄 것으로 사료된다. 특히 공립 사립에서 보이는 재정적 환경격차에 의한 물리적 시설의 수준 양극화 격차를 줄이고 모든 아동들이 보다 나은 학교 환경의 혜택을 고루 받을 수 있도록 제안하고자 한다.;The increasing standard of living spurred by the remarkable growth of modern culture and economy has directed more of people's attention towards the environment of space. The influences of information media, in particular, have made colors the major stimuli of perception. Thus color effects have emerged as a critical issue as one of the most representative methods of space expression. Color uses indoors affect physical and psychological activities besides aesthetics. Children in their developmental stages are under bigger influences of an environment than grownups. Therefore, more careful attention must be paid to the construction of elementary school buildings so that they can provide a beautiful and pleasant educational environment as a place for living as well as a place for learning. Although there have been many efforts on the changes and reforms of school in Korea, most of Korea's elementary school buildings focus on building materials, external appearance, and construction with few research and improvement efforts on the color scheme of the indoor environment. When planning the color scheme of the indoor environment in elementary school buildings, they should apply rational thinking according to the functions and purposes of each classroom. In addition, they should consider important factors positively affecting children's psychological, physiological and social development regarding the school as a place for living as well as a place for knowledge acquirement. This study set out to review the views of colors applied to the conventional classrooms, which had been followed recklessly, and suggest the types of experimental classroom color schemes to help with children's growth, creativity, and learning abilities. After theoretically examining the relations between children and colors and the influences of color environments on children according to their developmental stages, the investigator offered some examples of classroom color environments to promote children's emotional stability and capabilities. The specific research methods were as follows: First, literature was reviewed to understand the impacts of color and color environments on children according to their developmental stages; secondly, the environment colors of elementary school were considered, and the cases of environment colors were compared and analyzed home and abroad; and thirdly, a basic framework was made for classroom color schemes in elementary school by considering children's mental and physical growth and development through the overseas standard colors for school. Once completed, the standard colors will provide a tentative plan for the right classroom color environment through a perspective plan. It will help to improve the educational environment not keeping up with the flow of the times and further exercise huge influences on the enactment of the standard plan of color environments in school. And suggestions were made in a way to narrow the gap between the public and private schools in terms of financial situations and physical facilities and to help all children benefit from a bitter school environment.
