동영상 학습에서 학생의 수업참여 검증 기법

Abstract

원격교육은 지역적 위치에 관계없이 교수자와 학습자가 네트워크화 하여 교수 프로그램을 저장하는 가상공간을 만들고 학습자가 쉽게 접근하여 학습 할 수 있도록 구상된 학습 과정이다. 물리적인 공간이 아닌 인터넷을 기반으로 한 실시간 혹은 시간을 초월하여 학습이 가능한 새로운 교육 패러다임이 형성되었다. 또한 평생교육법령의 시행으로 평생교육이라는 시대적 요청을 충족시켜주는 대안으로 원격교육은 학습의 영역을 확장해 나가고 있다. 요즈음에는 대부분의 학습자들이 자발적인 학습욕구와 학습의 필요성에 따라 인터넷을 통한 동영상 강의를 활용하여 수업을 듣고 있다. 하지만 중·고등학교 현장에서는 여전히 전통적인 방법으로 면대면 수업이 주로 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 시대의 흐름에 맞추어 중·고등학교 현장에서도 교실에서 이루어지는 면대면 수업에 동영상을 활용한 수업을 병행하면 학생들의 학습의 효과가 높아 질 것이다. 이에 따라 중·고등학교의 교사들이 동영상 강의를 병행 하고자 할 때 겪는 문제점을 지적하고 이를 해결할 만한 시스템이 필요하다. 동영상 학습을 진행하고자 할 때 교사는 교실 내에서 이루어지는 수업처럼 학생들의 수업에 대한 참여도와 학습태도를 볼 수가 없는 문제점이 있다. 교사들은 학생들이 동영상 강의를 플레이만 시켜놓고 컴퓨터를 통하여 다른 작업을 하거나 자리를 비울 수 있는 등 학습에 집중하지 않는 환경적인 요소들에 대하여 통제하기가 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 온라인을 통한 동영상 학습에서 학생의 수업참여 검증을 위한 시스템을 구현하여 동영상 수업에서 학습자의 수업에 대한 성실도와 참여도를 파악할 수 있도록 하는 것이 목적이다.;Remote education is a new instruction method using the network of instructor and students regardless of their location. It prepares virtual space where teachers save their teacher material and students can easily access to the data. It is based on internet instead of real classroom, so it generates new education paradigm which enables study irrespective of limitation of time and space. Also, remote education is expanding its application as an alternative to meet the needs of the time of lifelong education which is supported by relevant law. Most of the students are attending online class through internet upon their voluntarily needs and will to study. However, most of middle schools and high schools stick to traditional education method of face to face. The result of education would be enhanced and more efficient when online class is applied to traditional method in the class considering the flow of the time. It is required to prepare the system which can point out the problems teacher would have due to conducting online lecture and offer solution for them. It is hard for the teacher to take care of participation and attitudes of students like in-class education when he conducts online class. Teacher find it hard to control many environmental factors for online lecture since the students might be able to do other things or be absent while the lecture is played. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to realize the system which can verify participation of students in online lecture so that it can identify diligence and participation rate of students toward the class.
