취학전 아동의 미적 태도 분석

Abstract

현대 사회는 변화의 폭과 속도가 점점 커져가고 있다. 그래서 사람들은 교육의 힘도 더욱 강화되어야 한다고 생각하고 있다. 평생 교육, 유치원 교육의 중요성을 역설하는 사회의 여론은 이런 점을 잘 반영하고 있다. 특히 취학전 아동의 교육에 대한 관심과 열의가 점점 높아져가고 있는 요즈음, 그들의 미적 행동 특성의 면모를 개괄하고 그 대표적인 경향을 구명하는 일은 취학적 아동을 위한 정서 교육의 길을 열기 위한 기초 연구이다. 본 연구는 4~7세의 취학전 아동들에게 나타나는 여러 가지 미적 태도의 특성을 구명하는데 목적이 있다. 즉 어린이들이 미술 표현의 내용(주제), 형식(조형 요소와 구성), 방법(재료, 용구)등에 대하여 어떤 반응을 보이는가를 선행 연구를 통하여 구명하고, 중요한 사항을 필요한 검사를 통하여 확인함으로서, 취학적 아동의 미적태도의 전반적인 특성을 추출한다. 본 연구는 Lark-Horovitz를 비롯한 아동미술 연구가의 선행 연구 분석과 4~7세의 유아원 및 유치원 아동 236명을 관찰 대상으로 한 미적 태도 검사를 실시하고 취학전 아동의 미를 지각하고 표현, 감상하는 미적 태도 특성을 개괄, 정립하였다. 본 연구 결과로 확인된 아동의 미적 태도는 첫째로, 표현 및 감상에 있어서 무엇을 표현하였는가 하는 주제(내용)에 일차적인 관심이 주어지며, 둘째로, 조형성에 있어서 색채 및 형태의 명확성에 일차적인 관심이 주어지며, 세째로, 기법상의 변화에는 별다른 관심을 기울이지 않음을 확인하였다. 따라서 취학전 아동의 이러한 미적 태도의 특성을 고려하여 미술표현 및 감상을 지도하는 계획을 수립하여야 할 것이다.;The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics of the esthetic expression and apprediation of kindegaten children aged ebtween 4 and 7. The study is focused at the general esthetic attitude of children including the response to the subjects, designs a nd techniques of fine arts. A number of 231 children (male and female) from kindergartens in Seoul are examined by analyzing their answers to some questions which are prepared carefully. As a result, it is found that the subjects of the fine arts play the most important role in the appreciation and expression of the works. And children become interested in color when they are able to explain their own paintings. They like paintings that shows simple, rhythemical and symmetric designs with high contrast, and they recognize the space vaguely as a plain. Also, they are not interested in the process of the work and their concept of beauty is quite abstract. In this way, the kindergarten children enjoy and have their own idea concerning the fine arts. Moreover, they are very confident of their own paintings. So, it is clear and highly recommended that these affirmative attitudes in fine arts of kindergarten children should be portected and promoted in order to increase their ability of expression, creation and appreciation.
