아프리카 원시문양을 응용한 복식디자인

Abstract

The history of formative art started with human history. A part of vasic culture of human history could be examined by the investigation of African Primitive formative art which influenced greatly modern formative art and the aesthetic consciousness of African native and the infinite design factors of African primitive art was applied for the development and the magnification of new area of fashion design which can corresponding with the desire of various expression through the clothing as a part of the formative art. Therefore, the various patterns shown by african promotive formative art work, especially tattoos of natives or the patterns shown by their scars were developed as the factors of fashion design and applied to clothing pattern. As the theoretical background of this research. The origin motive of African promotive art and African primitive art being developed on the basis of spiritual basis were examined. And pattern of body decoration, sculpture, mask, and architecture were examined. And, the pattern in which African primitive formative art influenced the modern was investigated through references and the referenced works were collected and analyzed. The real 8 works were manufactured with the patterned African primitive formative art works and the figure shown in body decoration perceived as a form of clothing on the basis of his theoretical background. The synthesis of the result of this research, First, the simple figure could be elicited as the factor of design and the expression method range of clothing could ve magnified with the application of geometrical pattern of African primitive formative art. Second, aesthetic and decorative side of clothing could ve satisfied by using beads for the expression of pattern in clothing. Third, the plane and simple material could be varied using the sewing technique such as quilting and tape embroidery. Fourth, the possibility of new application of primitive geometrical motive and the possibility of various expression by different sewing technique could be suggested. In this research, only African primitive formative art among primitive art was treated. but primitive formative art of various different peoples still has infinite factors of design. The sufficient application of infinite possibility of those factors.;인류 역사가 시작되면서 조형예술의 역사도 시작되었다. 그 중에서도 현대 조형예술에 커다란 영향을 준 아프리카 원시 조형예술을 살펴본다는 것은 인류 역사에서 기본적인 문화의 한 단면을 알 수 있으며 조형예술의 한 분야인 복식을 통해 원주민들의 미의식과 아프리카 원시 조형예술 속의 무한한 디자인 요소들을 현대 복식의 다양한 표현 욕구에 부응할 수 있는 새로운 복식 디자인의 영역개발 및 확대를 모색해 보았다. 따라서 본 연구는 아프리카 원시 조형 예술품에서 나타나는 여러 가지 문양과 특히 원주민들의 문신이나 상흔에서 보여지는 문양을 복식 디자인의 요소로 발전시켜 복식에 응용하였다. 본 연구의 이론적 배경으로는 아프리카 원시 예술의 발생 동기와 정신적 기조를 바탕으로 발달하는 아프리카 원시 조형예술에 대해 문헌을 통해서 고찰하였다. 또 신체장식, 조각, 가면, 건축 내에 표현된 문양을 고찰하였다. 또한 아프리카 원시 조형예술이 현대에 어떠한 형태로 영향을 주었는지 문헌을 통해 조사하고 참고 작품을 수집하여 정리 분석하였다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 아프리카 원시 조형 예술품과 복식의 한 형태로 신체 장식을 인식하여 신체 장식내에 보여지는 문양을 패턴화하여 총 8점의 실물작품을 제작하였다. 이러한 연구의 결과를 종합하면 첫째, 아프리카 원시 조형의 기하학적 형태를 응용함으로써 단순한 문양을 디자인의 요소로써 도출시켜 복식의 표현 방법의 영역을 확대시킬 수 있었다. 둘째, 복식에 문양표현을 위해 비즈를 사용함으로써 복식의 미적, 장식적인 면을 충족시킬 수 있었다. 셋째, 퀼팅과 테이프 수 등 바느질 기법을 이용하여 평면적이고 단순한 소재에 변형을 줄 수 있었다. 넷째, 원시의 기하학적 모티브의 새로운 응용의 가능성과 서로 다른 바느질기법에 의한 다양한 표현 가능성을 제시할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 원시 예술 중 아프리카 조형예술은 아직도 무한한 디자인 요소들을 가지고 있다. 우리가 이러한 요소들을 다각적인 재창조 작업을 통해 원시 조형예술이 가지고 있는 무한한 가능성의 충분한 활용이 이루어졌으면 하는 바램이다.
