Abstract
Digital technology gives designers a lot of skills. New concepts for processing designs generally have been needed while environments for the designs hate rapidly been changed and user demand has increased. Actually, the design had headed toward mainly suppliers rather than consumers. With mass standardized consumption days with mass production and consumption However, valuable consumption days for people's quality of life has come while the life standard for normal people days has come in focus of consumption because of changing the digital environments and design field with development of network and multi-media has been expanded to new area in focus of humans being's personalization And designer's role which before was for only one part of processing product development with only focus on the products appearance has expanded because digital environments have been changed. so, it has become a major topic to understand the change in the designer's role. in the development of product design, there hate been obstacles inside business. First, designers possibly feel that there is no free discussion because of the rank structure. All their efforts, therefore, to express their own ideas and opinions will fail. Ultimately, the competitive power of a business will suffer a serious decline in the end. Second, if the worst happens, they will miss the timing in developing a product. It is because of Putting less effort on making a new plan than on investing time and costs on the latter stage, feedback is frequently continued under the same inefficient process. Thirdly, though, they have prototype facilities and engineers; feedback is frequently generated due to the antagonism from other sectors, immature control of information, and the waste of costs with the over-time cycle and without systematical integration. Finally, it is hard to get reasonable feedback during the stage considering whether or not they ought to develop a new product. Therefore, the term of development for a new product will be extended or fail without consideration of the market. Considering the obstacles in processing development design, an efficient process for design can be secured with synergistic effect accompanied by cost reduction, speedy developmental processes and free flowing communication. Prior to the application stated above, a business needs at first, the digitalized environment and process capable of applying techniques in digital environment and the design. At this point, a business intent on preparing the fundamentals of the digitalized design should increase the efficiency rate of design process along with simultaneous progress. Accordingly, I needed to establish product identity with establishment of brand name in this method for the design sector. And I made a customer participate to the process. Furthermore I also managed a multi sector project team. This process in this is like this ; 1. Planning on the web was based on an internet surrey. Having reduced the loss of time used to solicit feedback placed more weight on the early stage of product development. Analyzed (marketing on the web) opinions through questionnaire and on line group interview. Based on the results, I can analyze and arrange effectively and the optimum planning of a product can be realized. Through the methods mentioned above, the results of the prior questionnaire and interview with customers can have an influence on the initial design stage. Initially research is needed because business needs to know consumers' needs, satisfaction level and also expected customer's needs after they use the product. It also needs believable information gained by analyzing the thoughts of customers. So, customer's peculiarities and needs can be understood via the purchasing habits, styles and patterns. 2. Concurrent Engineering can be applied in this stage of product design. Accordingly, simultaneous operation and harmonious communication is available through multilateral collaboration among programmers and engineers. A business can draw customer's attention to the modeling process, using multi-media techniques during the stage of virtual design. 3. Although, the existing procedure of the design stage has been merely discussion with other members of a design or marketing department over the detailed sketch works of a design, a business needs more verified and vivid methods of examination by drawing expectation of the consumer who is also the consumer in the Digital Age. That is to say, by displaying a design on the Internet, a business gets to know the opinion of customers. And then, their opinion will be reflected in the design. And a business can amend the design with continuous communication with customers. Finally, the reasonable market price will be determined in accordance Consumer demand before the product is to be launched. This way, a business would have more correct data and reasonably accurate valuation thanks to the method 3 dimensional it used. Large scale gathering and handling of data is available with multi media which makes collection of information on customer's feeling quickly available. It also is an interactive and reasonable way of research. Use of digital environments from the planning to the valuation stage of design is practical because a designer positively practices his part for the development of a product which is to make satisfied consumer. A designer can positively and mainly plays his role in developing a product with an efficient process of design, which is also needed the Digital Environment.;정보화 시대의 도래로 사회전반과 인간 생활에 극적인 변화가 일고 있다. 정보화 사회를 구축하는 기반 기술인 디지털은 경제 사회문화 전반적인 패러다임을 바꾸어 놓고 있다. 디지털화에 동반하는 정보화의 진화는 단순히 산업 혁명적인 측면을 넘어서 정보 통신과의 결합을 통해 정보 혁명으로 연결되는 새로운 변화를 만들어 가고 있다. 이러한 정보화 시대를 맞이하면서 디자인 환경도 커다란 변화가 일고 있다. 이른바 디지털 디자인 시대가 도래하고 있는 것이다. 새롭게 대두되는 디자인 환경과 특성을 잘 이해하고 디지털 시대에 새로운 디자인 방향성을 위해서는 디지털에 대한 이해와 디지털 시대에 급변하는 인터넷 환경과 소비자 환경, 기업 전반의 환경, 기술환경의 변화 등을 파악하여 환경 변수의 관찰과 분석을 통해 디자인환경 변화를 인식하고 디지털 환경을 적극 활용한 디자인 프로세스를 제안함으로써 미래 디자인에 대한 방향성을 제시하고자 한다. 즉 제품디자인 환경에 영향을 미치는 디지털 환경요소에 대해 제품의 기업 경영 환경과 지식관리, 디자인 대상인 소비자의 변화, 디자인 도구 등 각각의 변화의 흐름을 분류하여 디자이너의 디자인 환경에 영향을 미치는 변화요소를 추출하여 디자인 계의 환경변화를 파악하고자 하였다. 기존의 디자인 프로세스의 한계점과 디지털환경에 대웅하지 못한 시스템을 현 기업의 제품디자인 프로세스모델을 수집하여 고찰하였고 이들 프로세스의 종합적인 분석을 통해 디자인 프로세스 개선방안과 환경적 변화를 디자이너가 주도적으로 끌고 나갈 수 있는 여러 사안들을 연구해 정리하였다. 이러한 디지털시대의 대두에 따른 환경과 디자인 변화에 대한 연구와 사례를 통한 환경변화를 인식하고 디지털 디자인 프로세스에 접근하고자 하였다.
