동굴이미지의 장식적 표현

Abstract

창조자로서의 모든 예술가는 자신의 독창적인 조형성을 추구하여 새로운 방식으로 그의 내면세계를 표현하고 있는 것이 현대미술의 추세이다. 따라서, 오늘날 염색공예의 표현양식도 작가의 개성적인 미의식에 따라 다양해지고 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 동굴에서 느낀 인상을 한지를 재료로 한 납방염 기법으로 장식적인 효과를 모색함으로써, 독창적인 조형세계를 추구하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 이러한 목적을 위한 이론적 배경으로 예술과 표현, 추상적 형태의 장식적 표현에 대하여 문헌을 통해 고찰하였고 이를 근거로 제작된 작품 7점을 분석해 본 결과, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 조형예술에 있어서의 표현은 대상의 재현이 아닌 작가의 고유성이 반영된 창조적인 형태로 재구성되어야 함을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 자연의 오묘한 질서와 변화를 느낄 수 있는 동굴은 연구자의 고유성을 반영하여 그 본질을 양식화 하는데 적절한 소재였으며 반복적인 배열에서 나타나는 선은 율동성과 안정된 형성으로 장식적 표현에 효과적이었다. 셋째, 한지 납방염의 시도는 염색공예에 있어서 가능성을 찾고자하는 의도에서 표현되어진 수단으로, 천염색에서 느낄수 없었던 은은한 색채의 미를 발견할 수 있었으나 단순차원의 종이작업이 되었다는 점에서 아쉬움이 남는다. 이와같은 결론을 토대로 예술은 완성을 추구하는 과정이라는 점을 상기하며, 앞으로의 창작활동의 가능성 모색의 계기로 삼고 계속 노력할 것이다.;All the artists as the creator seek to find out their original formativity, who express their inner world with a new method-it is the general tendency of the contemporary art. Therefore, nowadays, expressional modes of dyeing craftwork become various with promoted the individual aesthetic consciousnesses of artists. Upon this, the purpose of this study was paid to a pursuit of an original formative world in which in dividual impressions felt in a cave were intended to grop decorative effect with a batik technique used korean paper. For this, as a theoretical basis, 'art and expression' and 'decorative expressions of abstractive form' were investigated through literatures, and, upon which made seven pieces of work, analyzed, as the results, as follows. ; First, it could be seen that expressions of formative art should be reorganized not as the reappearance of objects but as the creative form which an artist's own originality would be reflected.
