Primitive art에 대한 동경

Abstract

The 'machinism' which has brought about new artistic modes by connecting productive related mechanical vehicles to aesthetic tastes in conformity to the development of the industrial society has born 'pragmatism'. On this pragmatism, however, in its negative sense, there has appeared a general tendency predominantly profit oriented, which caused a loss of humanity. And this loss becomes a growing, great subject assigned to the contemporary art. The kinetic art, computer art, art of laser beam etc. that have appeared with active scientific art activities have come under a new artistic world of today which might, be called the 2nd Renaissance. Also, unfortunately, however, the phenomenon of 'techno-stress' with the main factor of mechanization has given a great impact to the artistic circle along with new abnormal mental symptoms. For this, the study has tried to express the primitive beauty in non-perspective and immature forms on a theme of future society, considering that primitive art would he rightly yearned for by the formentioned threatening phenomena of matters. As a theoretical basis, the transitional process of primitive art which can be classified largely into the primitive art generally known and those before and after Renaissance was first observed in the chapter Ⅱ in order to have a more clear understanding about it. In the chapter Ⅲ, the relation between the man of today and the primitive art as a reason why the contemporaries have become to yearn for the primitive art was investigated into. In the chapter Ⅳ, by connecting characteristics of primitive art to the future family in the process of work-making, it was tried to express what may be felt in the everyday shapes of the future society. And, lastly, in the chapter Ⅴ, it was so expressed as to have our lives reilluminated, by prospecting future family forms trough our present shapes of life, on an understanding why the primitive art escaped from the artistic forms caused by the development of science of ought to be longed for.;산업사회가 발달함에 따라 생산에 이용된 새로운 기계적수단과 미적취미를 연결하여 새로운 양식을 불러 일으켰던 기계주의는 실용주의를 낳았고, 실용주의로 인한 실리만을 추구함으로서 나타난 인간성 상실은 현대미술이 지니고 있는 커다란 과제이다. 과학을 이용한 예술의 활달한 활동으로 나타난 키네틱아트(Kinetic Art) 컴퓨터 아트, 레이저 광선을 이용한 예술등은 오늘날 예술계에 제2의 르네상스를 맞이하게 되었다. 그러나 기계화에 따른 인간성 회복과 때를 같이 한 테크노스트레스(Technology+Stress)는 새로운 정신적 이상증세와 함께 예술계에도 커다란 충격을 가져다 주었다. 따라서 본 작업은 이러한 위협적인 일들로 인하여 생기게 되는, Primitive Art에 대한 동경을 본 연구의 목적및 내용으로 하고 미래 사회를 테마로 비원근법과 형태의 미숙함에 의한 원시미를 나타내 보고자 하였다. Ⅱ장의 이론적 배경은 Primitive Art에 대하여 정확하게 알기 위하여 우리가 흔히 알고있는 원시미술과 르네상스 이전과 이후의 Primitive Art로 나누어서 시대에 따른 Primitive Art의 변화에 대하여 알아보았고, Ⅲ장에서는 현대인이 Primitive art를 동경하게 된 이유로서 오늘날의 인간과 Primitive Art와의 관계를 살펴 보았다. Ⅳ장은 작품제작에 있어서 Primitive Art의 특징을 미래의 가정과 연결시켜 미래 사회의 일상적인 모습에서 느낄 수 있는 것들을 표현해 보고자 애썼으며, Ⅴ장 결론에서는 과학의 발달이 일으킨 예술의 형식에서 벗어나 Primitive Art를 동경하게 된것을 이해하고, 우리가 겪고있는 생활 모습을 통하여 미래의 가정을 예측해 보며, 우리의 삶을 재조명해 보고자 표현 하였고, 생활을 보다 편하게 하기 위해 만들어진 과학으로 인하여 도리어 害가 되지 않도록 예술적인 방향에서 시도하여 보는데 주력하였다.
