Embossing 기법을 응용한 피혁의상 연구

Abstract

The costume culture today atirs an interest in the function which enables the organic combination of art and society as well as requires more form-oriented and artistic sensitivity as a result of the development of fashion industry. 1. in this study, the leather costume is selected as a medla of expression good enough to satisty the man's desire for beauty in color, shape and material since it has an unique luster and better durability and heat insulation properity than fabrics. 2. This study is to find new formative value in the material and artistic sense leather as a media of simple and fresh expression for modern man through the expression of the geometric image as an embossing effect. 3. This study reviews the history of leather costume with reference to the relevant literature as a theoretical background, and describes the kind and features of the leather products and the processing method of leather. 4. And this study also refers to the concept of the geometrical pattern as a motive of this study, and analyzes the visual factors and the image characteristics contained in the geomerical pattern. After this, some pictures and costumes expressig these characteristics are collected as a reference work, and comprehensively reviewed. Based on the above-mentioned preparatuon, are manufactured eight pieces of leather costumes expressing a simple geometrical pattern as an embossing effect. The conclusion reached through the above-mentioned works are as follows: This study broadens the scope of the lwather materials by manufacturing costumes with leather largely used in the production of bags or leather belts. This study enlarges the beauty of leather costumes by adding the gradation effect of colors in the leather processing. This enhances the material effect of leather as a result of attempting to express various patterns through the emboss processing. A more sportive leather costume is manufactured in a modern sense through the introduction of the geometrical pattern to the jackets. Finally, the artistic leather costume can become popularized by improving the material, pattern and design of leather costumes and overcoming the difficvlties in the dressmaking through a more active study on the material and design of leather costume by means of the development of the leather dyes and emboss processing method.;인류의 가장 오래된 피복으로 사용되고 오늘날 복식 문화에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는 피혁의상은 패션 산업의 발달로 인하여 보다 조형적이고 예술적인 감각이 요구 되어지고 있다. 피혁은 섬유에 비해 내구와 보온의 실용성을 지니며 천연 소재로서의 독특한 광택과 더불어 색채, 형태, 질감에 있어서 인간의 미적욕구를 충족 시키기에 충분한 표현소재이다. 이에 피혁 의상을 표현 매체로 선택하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 기하학적 형태의 이미지를 엠보싱으로 피혁 의상위에 표현함으로써 현대인에게 간결하고 청량한 감각의 복식 표현 소재로서의 피혁의 질감과 예술성에 있어서 새로운 조형 가치를 찾아 내고자 함에 있다. 본연구의 내용및 방법은 이론적 배경으로서 문헌을 통해 피혁의상의 역사를 고찰 하였으며 피혁의 증류및 특성과 피혁 제품의 가공 방법을 설명 하였다. 또한 본 연구의 모티브인 기하학적 형태의 개념을 살펴보았으며 각각의 기하학적 형태가 지닌 시각적 요소및 이미지의 특성을 분석한후 이를 표현한 회화 작품과 의상 작품을 참고 작품으로 표집하여 종합 검토 하였다. 이를 토대로 단순한 기하형의 문양을 엠보싱 효과로 표현한 피혁의상 작품 8점을 제작 하였다. 작품 제작을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본연구에서는 주로 가방이나 혁대를 만드는데 사용되는 피혁을 사용하여 의상을 제작 함으로써 피혁 의상소재의 범위를 넓힐 수 있었다. 둘째, 피혁염색 가공에 있어서 색채의 점이적인 효과를 줌으로써 피혁의상의 심미성을 확대 시켜 보았다. 셋째, 엠보싱 가공에 의한 부조 문양을 다양하게 시도 한 결과 피혁의 질감 효과를 증대 시킬 수 있었다. 넷째, 기하학적 형태의 문양을 쟈켓에 도입함으로써 보다 더 스포티하고 현대적 감각의 피혁 의상을 제작 할 수 있었다. 끝으로 피혁염료와 엠보싱 가공법의 개발로 피혁의상의 재질 향상과 질감 디자인이 더욱 적극적으로 연구되어 피혁소재의 질감효과및 문양디자인의 질을 향상 시키고 봉제의 난점을 극복함으로써 예술적인 피혁 의류 상품이 대중화되어 질 수 있기를 바란다.
