Modular street furniture의 계획과 디자인에 관한 연구

Abstract

An urban environment in terms of design is the systematic element inclusive of all the design spheres, and whereby in the ease of 'Street furniture' comprising the street environment, it has a feature that fulfills not only the functional satisfaction to the users for being able to feel a consecutive and yet diversified space as its character being systematic and organic congregation body but also even their psychological contentment. That is, it should be designed to enable them to share pleasure from the environment by providing ceaseless incentives to the users with the variation of design through the continuity, unity, simplicity and order of the form. In order to meet these demands of the users, an attempt in this study was made to achieve its purpose with the suggestion of 'Modular Street Furniture' possessing variability, adaptability and economization based on the design methodology for 'Systematic Research'. To examine its on-going process concretely: Firstly, it was informationalized to be able to obtain basic information used in an actual design solution by dividing humane, ethical and exterior factors through bibliographical survey for the recognition and formalization of the problems. Secondly, in order to collect relevant data, an analysis was conducted on the form bymaking it objectistic through observing the behaviors of the users who use 'Bus Stop', and thus the necessity of this study was led to a renewed appreciation through seizing the issues with surrounding environment and the problems on its disposition following the survey with regrad to the distribution chart of the constituent elements. Lastly, a series of solvable directions were established to educe the required items after inducing the problems of the elements through collecting the existing products. As the result, to enable the planning, execution and controlling of the 'Bus Stop System' to unflod with easiness, the necessity of Street Furniture pursuant to the 'Modular System' possessed with changeability, economization and elasticity was recognized. Therefore, an alternative plan of the 'Street Furniture' in conformity with the 'Modular System' to which the concept of 'Module' was applied in presenting a more comfortable and efficient 'Bus Stop' under the urban outdoor environment was presented.;디자인 측면에서의 도시 환경은 디자인 영역을 모두 포함하는 씨스템적인 요소이다. 특히 가로 환경을 구성하는 STREET FURNITURE 의 경우는 성격상 체계적이고 유기적인 집합체로써 연속적이고 다양한 공간을 느낄수 있도록 사용자에게 기능적인 만족감 뿐 아니라 심리적인 만족까지 충족 시켜야 하는 특성을 갖고 있다. 즉 형태의 연속성과 통일성, 단순한 질서를 통한 디자인의 변화로써 사용자에게 끊임없는 자극을 주어 환경으로부터 즐거움을 느낄수 있도록 해야 하는것이다. 이러한 사용자의 욕구를 충족 시키기 위해 본 연구에서는 씨스템 연구(SYSTEMATIC RESEARCH)를 위한 디자인 방법론에 입각하여 문제를 해결하고 가변성, 융통성, 경제성을 지닌 MODULAR STREET FURNITURE를 제안 함으로써 본 연구의 목적을 달성 하고자 하였다. 진행과정을 구체적으로 살펴보면 첫째, 문제의 인식과 형식화를 위해 문헌 조사를 통해 인간적, 물리적, 환경적 요원을 구분하여 실제 디자인 해결안에서 이용되는 기본 지식을 얻을수 있도록 정보화 하였으며, 둘째, 자료 수집을 위해 버스 정류장을 이용하는 사용자들의 행위를 관찰(observation)을 통해 객관화 하여 행태를 분석하고 구성요소의 분포도를 조사하여 배치상의 문제점, 주변 환경과의 문제점등을 파악하므로써 본 연구의 필요성을 재인식 하였다. 셋째, 현존 제품을 수집하여 요소들의 문제점을 도출한후 일반 사용자들의 요구사항을 관련시켜 그 해결 방향을 설정 하였다. 그 결과 버스 정류장의 계획, 시공, 관리를 용이하게 전개해 나갈 수 있도록 하기 위하여 가변성, 경제성, 융통성을 지닌 MODULAR SYSTEM에 의한 STREET FURNITURE의 필요성을 인식하게 되었다. 따라서 도시의 옥외 환경속에서 보다 쾌적하고 능률적인 버스 정류장을 제시함에 있어 모듈(MODULE)의 개념을 적용 시킨 MODULAR STREET FUSNITURE의 대안을 제시 하였다.
