어린이를 위한 Calendar illustration 연구

Abstract

어린이의 세계는 작은 예술의 소우주라는 말처럼 아름답고 어른들의 세계와는 다른 그들 나름대로 독자적인 특성을 지닌다. 사고력과 경험이 부족한 어린이에게 하나의 그림이 주는 감성적 측면은 성격형성에 있어서나 사고력과 인지력을 높여주고 상상력을 키워준다는 의미에서 대단한 효과가 있다고 볼 수 있다. 특히 지각은 인간과 환경 사이의 교량역할을 하므로 시각이 환경의 지각에 더욱 중요시 되고 있다. 사람은 주어진 환경속에서 생활하고 환경과 상호작용에 의해 이루어지고 정신세계는 외부세계의 요소와 더불어 인간본성과 상상력을 결합시켜 재창조하는 시각예술 활동을 통하여 풍요해진다. 그런 의미에서 일러스트레이션에 대한 인식이 높아짐에 따라 어린이를 위한 일러스트레이션 제작이 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기하학적 형태 표현의 어린이를 위한 캐린더 일러스트레이션에 관하여 연구하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 어린이(6세에서 12세)에게 형태에 대한 새로운 시각적 경험을 주기 위한 것으로 단순하면서도 가장 기본적인 조형요소로 어린이 주변에서 경험할 수 있는 소재로 이미지를 형상화시켜 기하학적 형태에 대한 흥미와 관심을 갖게하여 새로운 감각을 불어넣어 주는데 목적을 둔다. 이론적 배경으로 Ⅱ장에서는 어린이의 일반적인 특징과 발달, 어린이의 지각 및 조형발달 단계와 단계와 어린이와 일러스트레이션에 대하여 살펴보았고, Ⅲ장에서는 캐린더 일러스트레이션표현 연구를 위한 것으로 일러스트레이션의 개념, 캐린더의 개념 및 기 능, 기하학적 형태의 특성 , 일러스트레이션의 표현양식, 표현을 위한 조형요소로서 형태, 색채, 질감에 대하여 알아보았고 Ⅳ장에서는 작품제작으로 표현의 가능성을 시도하였다. 본 연구결과 다음과 같은 결론에 이르르게 되었다. 자연의 이미지를 있는 그대로 세부묘사하는 것이 아니라 나름대로의 느낌 과 단순한 형태로 변형하여 표현할 수가 있었으며 단순화하는 과정을 통해 사물을 관찰하는 방법을 찾을 수 있었고, 사물의 형태를 변형하여 표현해본 결과 새로운 감각적 표현의 가능함과 일러스트와 조형적 표현의 가능성을 발견하게 되었다.;The world of child has its own characteristics which is beautiful and something different to that of adult as the saying that it is a little universe of art. The emotional side which one picture gives to children those who are lacking in thought and experience has a great effect on the formation of charactor, the elevation of thought and intelligence and the cultivation of imaginative power. Especially, because perception plays a role of the bridge between man and environment, the sense of sight is more important in the perception of environment. Man lives in the given environment and made by reciprocal action with it and his mental world is made abundant by the action of visual art which is reproducing them connecting man's instinct and his thought with the factors of outside world. In that meaning, the production of illustration for children according to the increase of consciousness about the illustration. In this study, the calendar illustration of geometrical form expression for children is investigated. The purpose of this study, as the purpose of giving new visual experience about forms to children(from six to twelve years old), is to give children new sensitivity through making them have interests and attention in geometrical forms by shaping the image with the materials which children can experience in the circumstances as the most basic formative factor. In section Ⅱ, as a theoretical background, we surveyed the general characteristic and development of children, the perception or the formative developmental states of children, and the illustration and children. And then in section Ⅲ, as for the expression study of calendar illustration, the concept of illustration, the concept or function of calendar, the characteristic of geometrical form, the expression style of illustration are studied. Also as the formative element for expression, form, color, and texture are investigated. In section Ⅳ, the probability of expression is attempted as a work manufacture. The result of this study have led to the conclusion as follows: In its own way the feeling and the transformation toward the simple form, not the detail description of natural image, can be expressed, and through the simplification process, the method of observation can be found. When we expressed with the transformational forms of things, the result is the discover of probability of new sensitive expression and one of formative expression.
