그물소재를 응용한 복식디자인 연구

Abstract

현대에 와서 복식은 다양한 신소재의 개발과 소재 감각의 변천에 따라 여러형태로 변화하고 있으며, 디자이너들에게는 보다 창조적 디자인을 위한 소재 개발의 중요성이 더욱 강조되고 있다. 복식에 있어서 소재의 응용은 복식으로 표현하고자 하는 소재가 가지고 있는 특성과 가장 강하게 풍기는 좋은 이미지를 파악하고 그에 따른 실루엣과 디테일의 조화 속에서 완성된다. 이러한 관점에서 본 논문은 기존의 일반적인 직물을 탈피하여 입체적이고 신축성(伸縮性)과 투영성(透映性)을 지닌 그물소재(net fabrics)를 응용하여 복식에 재구성함으로써 그물소재가 지니는 독특한 조형미를 복식에 표현하여 새로운 디자인의 가능성을 제시하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 본 논문의 이론적 배경으로서는 복식 조형에 있어서의 소재의 역할과 현대복식에 나타난 소재응용 경향을 살펴보고 소재응용의 하나로서 그물(net)을 선택하여 문헌을 통해 그물의 개념과 기원, 조직을 살펴보고 그물의 조형성을 복식과 연관시켜 알아보고 그물 소재가 현대 복식에 어떠한 형태로 응용되는 가를 고찰하였다. 작품은 이론적 배경을 토대로 그물의 조형적 특성을 복식에 재구성하여 표현 하였으며 바다이미지를 색상모티브(color motive)로 하여 총 8점을 제작하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 복식조형에 있어 소재는 작품의 근본이 되는 재료의 의미를 지니고 있으며 복식으로 연출하는데 있어서 소재가 가지는 특성, 조형미, 이미지를 잘 파악하여 표현하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 재인식하였다. 둘째, 그물 소재의 복식에의 응용은 그물이 지니는 조형적 특성 즉, 투영성과 조직의 신축성에 의한 댕김의 효과, 겹침으로 인하여 나타나는 무한한 색 음영(陰影)의 변화, 구성선의 교차로 생겨나는 선과 공간의 입체감등을 복식에 재구성함으로써 인체와 복식을 새로운 형태로 연결시킬 수 있는 시도가 되었다. 셋째, 그물과 다른 조직의 소재를 같이 사용함으로써 재질사용의 개념확대를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있었다. 넷째, 그물 소재에서 유추되는 다양한 이미지로 복식디자인의 독특한 모티브가 될 수 있었다. 이상의 결과로 그물 소재의 복식에의 응용은 그물의 조형성을 복식에 재구성한다는 점에서 새로운 디자인의 모티브가 될 수 있었고, 또한 복식에 있어서의 소재 응용 확대라는 개념으로 그 가능성을 제시하였다.;The importance of a material has been emphasized in the modern dress and ornamants, as the saying goes that new material creates new design. In dress and ornamants, the application of a material can be completed by harmony of silhouette and detail in line with its well-under-standing of characteristic of a meterial and good image of the strongest. At this point of view, this study is written to present a possibility of new design through expression of unique formativeness by applying cubic, elastic, and transparent net fabric, which goes against the existing universality of general fabric. For theoretical background of this study, the author examined the role of material in shaping of dress and ornamants, current trend of material application which has been expressed (exposed) in modern dress and ornamants, and the general concept, formation and orgin of net which is selected for one of the many example for material application, and thried to find out how the formativeness of net can be related to dress and ornamants and by what kind of form do net can be applied to modern dress and ornamants. Formative nature of net on the basis oof the above-mentioned the-oretical background has been reorganized to be expressed on this work and by introducing ecology, one of the strongest image of net, using a image of sea which is analogized from 'ecology' as color image, so that the author has finally completed a total of 8 pieces of works. On the basis of this, the author has finally come to the conclusion of follow. First, in shaping of dress and orgamants, material has the meaning of raw stuff which is the most basic factor of a work and it is important to express nature, formativeness and image of a material through well - understanding the three of them. Second, net application to dress and organaments proved an attempt that the human body could be related to dress and organanants in new form, by recognizing formative nature of clearity and elasticity, unlimited variation of shadow caused by overlap, and cubic effect of line and space organates from crossing of structural line, into dress and ornamants. Third, it was prossible to express conceptual expansion of the quality of material by using net with the other material from the other formation. Fourth, various images which were analogized from net can be a peculiar accent to the design of dress and ornamants. On the basic of the above conclusion to dress and ornamants by the material 'net' could be a motive for new design for the point of reorganization by and through formativeness of net and it also presents a possibility of applicative expansion through new material to dress and ornamants.
