현대인의 내면세계에 관한 시각적 표현

Abstract

本 연구는 현대 인간이 갖는 내면적 문제들을 視覺化함으로써, 오늘날 大衆과 호흡하는 시각예술로서 "일러스트레이션"이 가지는 가능성을 모색함과 동시에, 이러한 시각경험을 통하여 現代人 스스로가 자신의 문제에 대하여 관심을 기울이고 思考하며 냐아가 행동의 변화에 까지도 영향력을 미칠 수 있는 계기를 만들기 위한 시도라고 할 수 있다. 本人은 이 연구를 다음과 같은 순서와 방법에 의해 전개한다. 먼저 본 연구의 Ⅱ장에서는, 시각예술이 그 시대의 現實과 인간의 정신적 · 지적 상황을 가장 진실하게 반영할 수 있는 창조작업으로서, 그에 의해 世界를 知覺할 수 있는 몇가지 형식들 중의 하나가 된다는 점에서, 現代人의 내면적 상황을 현대의 시대적 특성과 관련한 20세기 현대미술의 모습을 통하여 고찰한다. 다음으로 Ⅲ장에서는 위에서 분석된 현대인의 소외와 인간성 상실문제의 극복을 위한 시각예술에 있어서의 바람직한 시각표현의 방향을 제안하고, 나아가 이 문제해결의 방식에 보다 접근하는 시각표현 방식으로서 오늘날 現代社會속에서 일러스트레이션이 가지는 意味를 밝힌다. 이어 Ⅳ장에서는 이러한 연구배경 下에서 이루어진 作品을 제시하는데, 그 내용은 위기의식속에 사는 現代人들의 心理의 다양한 면을 다루고 있으며, 이러한 非可視的 대상을 효과적으로 視覺化하기위한 수단으로서 초현실적 기법과 상징등의 방법을 도입한다. 이상의 硏究에서 얻은 結論으로서 Ⅴ장에서는, 現代의 시각예술이 '독백'이 아닌 생생한 '전달'로서, 오늘날 우리가 처한 문제점에 대하여 自覺하고, 인간성 회복을 궁극의 目標로 하는 說覺表現이어야 한다는 점과 함께, 作家의 個性과 역량을 충분히 발휘할 수 있는 무한한 가능성을 가진 그림으로서 일러스트레이션의 質的 향상을 위한 다각적인 실험과 연구를 강조한다.;By visualizing the inner problems that the modern man has, the study looks for the possibilities of "Illustration" as a visual art that today's public shares. At the same time this study is an attempt, through these visual experience, to draw the interest of a modern man to his own problems and aslo make him think about them. Furthermore it is an attempt to make an opportunity that can influence the modern man's change of behavior. This study is developed through the following order and method. First, by considering the visual art as the creative work that can most truly reflect the emotional and intellectual conditions of man and the reality of the time, and as one of the forms that can perceive the world, part Ⅱ of the man research examines the internal conditions of the modern man through the 20th. century modern art that refers to the characteristics of the modern times. Part Ⅲ suggests the desirable direction which the visual expression can take in the area of the visual art as the solution that can overcome the previously-discussed isolation of the modern man and the problem of the loss of humanism. Furthermore, the second part explains the meaning of the illustration in the modern society as a method of visual expression that arproaches much closer to the solution. Part Ⅳ presents the art works that were made under these study background. The content of these works deals with the man aspects of the psychology of modern man living in crisis. And as a means to effectively visualizing these non-visible objects, the surrealistic style and symbolism are applied. As the conclusion to the above study, part Ⅴ emphasizes that the modern visual art, as a vivid 'communication' not as a 'soliloquy' should be the visual expression with the purpose of restoring the humanism and making us become aware of the problems we face today. And also by stating Illustration as a picture that has an infinite possibility of actualizing the individuality and the power of an artist, various experiments and studies for improving the qualities of Illustration are emphasized in this last part of the study.
