세포의 미적 형상화에 관한 연구

Abstract

예술작품은 인간감정의 본질을 표현하며 지각할 수 있는 형식이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 감각적 정서적 생명의 본질과 형식등은 일상적인 언어로는 쉽사리 표현될 수 없지만 예술작품에 의해서는 표현될 수 있다. 이와같이 예술작품이 곧 표현형식이며 그 작품이 표현하는 것이 바로 인간감정의 본질이라고 생각한다. 과거의 예술사를 살펴보면 고대에는 거의 눈에 보이는대로 표현하거나 중세나 근세로 들어와서는 종교적이거나 역사적인 혹은 일화적인 것을 중심으로 표현이 되어왔다. 그러나 현대에 이르러 과학의 발달로 인하여 과거에는 막연히 미지와 동경의 대상이 되어왔던 우주의 신비가 벗겨지며 그것을 표현하게 되었고 또한 현미경의 발명과 발달로 우리가 전혀 어떤 모양을 지녔는지 생각지도 못했던 무한한 대상의 근원인 세포의 형태도 눈으로 확인할 수 있게 되었다. 이렇게 되면서 현대의 예술은 과학의 발달뿐 아니라 여러 사회 문화적인 여건속에서 급속히 발전하여 제한된 소재 즉 눈에 보이고 감지할 수 있는 것에서부터 육안으로는 분별이 불가능한 여러가지 대상도 예술의 한 소재로 나타나게 되었다. 이러한 과정에 준하여 본 연구자는 무한한 대상의 근원이 되는 최소한의 단위인 세포를 중심으로 그 세포의 외형을 매개체로 삼아본 연구자가 세포를 보고 느낀 내면의 세계를 재구성하여 신비한 생명의 근원인 세포를 아름답고 환상적으로 표현하고자 한다. 따라서 이론적 배경을 기초로 작품을 제작하여 얻은 결론을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예술가가 창조해 내는 형상들의 원천은 넓고 다양하며 다만 예술작품을 창작하려는 의식적인 의도로서 제작되는 것이 아니라, 자기의 느낌을 예술형식으로 표현하려는 예술가의 충동성격에 의해 제작된다고 볼 수 있으며 예술적 직관력이 풍부한 사람은 이러한 기회를 계기로 하여 표현형식을 창조할 수 있다고 생각한다. 둘째, 제작과정에서 표현대상으로 택한 세포는 연구자가 의도한 표현형식보다 더 무한한 표현가능성을 내포하고 있는 긍정적인 소재였다고 생각한다. 셋째, 염색에 의한 표현은 많은 시간과 노력이 소요되지만 재료의 특성과 표현의 기법에 따라 다양한 분위기를 표출할 수 있었고 파라핀으로 뿌리고 막으며 겹쳐지게 하여 표출되는 선택적 투과성은 세포의 이미지를 형성하는데 매우 효과적 이었다. 또한 작품제작을 통해 앞으로의 방향과 문제점을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 염료와 섬유의 불규칙적인 특성으로 독특하고 우연적인 효과를 나타낼 수 있었으며. 지속적인 경험을 쌓아 연구하면 염색의 독특한 분위기는 한층 폭넓은 표현기법의 개발을 기대할 수 있다. 둘째, 염료의 반복채색으로 인하여 채도가 낮아져 탁한 느낌을 주고 있다. 따라서 맑고 투명한 표현이 되었으면 하는 아쉬움이 있다. 그러므로 문제점의 보강을 위해 끊임없는 연구가 있어야 하겠으며 본 연구를 계기로 계속해서 염색기법의 다양성을 연구하며 창의적인 작품연구에 주력하고자 한다.;A work of Art seems to be shaped and reveals the nature of human feelings or intuitions. We can't easily express the nature of human feeling and the object of emotional and sensual vitality with our language. But we can express those kinds of things through our creative work. Thus the work of art has it's own style in what it wants to express. Whatever we want to express or however we want to show it, depends up on our own feeling or method. We were easily able to find out this trend in the history of art. The work of art in ancient times expressed a thing as it was or what we could see. From mediaeval era to recent times, the main themes in art were the religion, historical events and some anecdotes. But technological discoveries in nowdays make us possibly express the ancient admiration and aspiration on the mysterious cosmos. Inventions and Progresses of microscope make us assure the structure and formation of cell which was not imagined by us before. Technological discoveries affect the satisfaction of human needs deeply and profoundly. With these helpful discoveries modern art deals with all the picayune, minute and tiny things that we can't imagine or see. Therefore, the pursuit of this study especially concentrates on the structure and formation of cell which is the minimum unit of living things. I try to express and recompose the inner world of cell beautifully and fantastically. The summary of my result based on the theory is the same as follows First, the stem of creative work will be found broadly and alternatively in everyday life. However, an artist carries out his work not with deliberate intentions but with impulsive inspirations. So an artist who has abundunt inspirations in his mind makes new style on the behalf of his views to objects. Second, the cell being selected as a creative object is an auspicious material which has more unrestrictive and unruly world than that of an artist's intention. Third, creative work by dye stuffs takes long time and needs much efforts to reveal a various and fantastic image according to material's specific characters and methods of expression. Selective penetration which is caused by Bee's wax is very effective for shaping cell's image.
