동화의 일러스트레이션 표현 연구

Abstract

어린이는 출생과 더불어 주위 환경에서 많은 영향을 받은 아주 민감한 존재이다. 감각과 지각이 발달하면서 많은 것을 받아 들이는 어린이에게 좋은 환경이 제공되어야 하며 시각적인 만족을 줄 기회를 많이 갖도록 해야 한다. 그러나 산업이 발달하고 모든 것이 스피드한 현대의 산업 사회에서 어린이들은 직접 경험을 가질 많은 기회를 잃어 버리게 된다. 바로 여기에 동화의 필요성이 있다고 하겠다. 동화는 그 특유의 성질, 즉 시간과 공간을 초월하여 꿈과 상상력을 길러준다. 이러한 상상력에 활력을 주는 것이 동화의 일러스트레이션이라 하겠다. 그러므로 좋은 일러스트레이션은 아동을 상상의 세계로 자연스럽게 이끌어 갈 수 있어야 한다고 본다. 그래서 좀 더 교육적이고 조형적인 시각을 넓힌다는 뜻에서 아동용 동화의 일러스트레이션에 관해 연구를 하고자 한다. 동화의 일러스트레이션을 제작하기 위해서 동화책에 있어서 일러스트레이션의 필요성과 동화책의 교육적인 가치를 고찰해 보고 현재 우리 나라에서 발간되는 그림 동화책 중에서 잘된것과 잘못된 것을 표집을 통해 분석해 보았다. 제안 작품은 기존의 평면적 구성의 일러스트레이션에서 탈피하여 좀 더 실감나는 장면을 구현하기 위하여 입체적인 구성을 해보았다. 형태나 공간을 구성하는데 있어서 어린이에게 조형적인 감각을 개발시킨다는 교육적인 면을 고려하였다.;Children can get an endless imagination and beautiful dream of bright future through juvenile fairy tale. Deep emotion and influence a man has through literary works is enomous. But a dreamworld children live in with fairy tales is really huge. This thesis describes illustrations inserted in fairy tales for children who feel and express thing most symbolically when it is reflected to their eyes. In order to define what kinds of illustrations are more educational to them and to able to have good influence on them affirmatively, and then to produce such further improved illustrations I analysed existing fairy tales and tried to find out merits and demerits of them comparatively. In creating illustrations for this thesis I made several enbossed carvings with paper clay first and then photoed them for cubic delineation of illustrations. Children experience a volume through these illustrations completed by the above procedure and become to get a feeling of moulding. As a result they become to experience a new atmosphere coming from a combination of two different atmospheres ; one from moulding and the other from painting. Things in volume brings forth different texture and feeling due to different light and shape, which is difference between a volume and a plane. So I applied a photography to making illustrations on plane, through which children become to have a feeling of volume. Just like explained by now in this thesis I have studied illustrations in order that children may feel a new world of moulding through this new consept of illustration and their emotion may be developed through high feeling of moulding.
