우리나라 大學圖書館의 參考質問에 關한 分析的 考察

Abstract

大學에 있어서 圖書館이 가장 重要한 知的 資源으로서 敎育 및 學問硏究의 中樞的 役割을 하기 爲하여는 보다 效率的인 圖書館奉仕가 要求된다. 大學圖書館奉仕의 主軸인 參考奉仕는 大學의 構成員을 對象으로 그들이 願하는 適切한 資料와 情報를 同時에 알려주는 敎育的 情報的 役割을 成就할 수 있도록 組織된 制度이다． 韓國의 大學圖書館에서는 1956年 새로운 形態의 參考奉仕가 紹介된지 20餘年이 經過였으나 參考奉仕의 質的인 面은 아직까지도 몇몇 大學圖書館을 除外하고는 不振한 狀態이다. 參考奉仕의 核心은 參考質問에 對한 應答에 있으며 利用者에 依하여 주어 지는 各種 質問에 어느 程度 適合한 應答을 할 수 있는가에 따라서 參考奉仕의 成敗를 가름할 수 있으므로 參考質問 및 應答에 關한 科學的 分析이 必要하다 이러한 点을 감안하여 本 硏究는 第Ⅰ章 序論으로 大學에 있어서 大學圖書館의 重要性과 參考奉仕의 槪念 및 範 를 다루었고，第Ⅱ章에서는 理論的 背景으로 參考質問의 意義, 種類, 面談過程 및 應答을 記述하였다. 第Ⅲ章에서는 參考質問調査票를 利用하여 서울 市內에 位置하고 있는 15個 綜合大學校 中央圖書館中 調査에 協助한 13個 綜合大學校 圖書館에서 參考室에서 遂行되고 있는 參考質問 및 應答 現況을 分析하였으며，第Ⅳ章 結論으로는 現況을 調査 分析한 結果로서 다음과 같이 提言하였다. ① 參考資料를 效果的으로 構成하여야 하며 보다 더 擴充하여야 한다. ② 可及的 主題專門可書 하여금 參考奉仕를 當하도록 하여야 한다. ③ 參考室 組織體系를 可及的 系列別 組織(Divisional Library System)으로 改善하여야 한다. ④ 利用者를 爲한 圖書館敎育 方法이 改善되어야 한다.;The library in university community is a major source of knowledge and information. It play a pivotal role to help users conduct study and research activities. One of the main functions of the library services is the reference service - its function is to provide the necessary materisals and information for the university students and faculties. It was in 1956 that the modern concept of reference service was first introduced to the universities of Korea. Although more than 20 years have passed since then the quality in the field of reference services still lags. The main function of reference service is to provide the answers to the specified questions which is requested by library users. Success or failure of the reference service is therefore judged by the accuracy and adequacy of information librarians provide for the users. In is then necessary to have an scientific analysis of reference questions answers time to time to give a better quality service. The present study deals with the analysis of reference questions made at the reference desk in university libraries in Korea. The chapter one deal with the importance of university libraries and the concept and the extent of reference service. Chapter two states the definition and kinds of reference question, reference interview and answer. In chapter three, the writer has attempted analysis of reference questions in university libraries. The chapter four describes the result of analysis and concluding remark. The essence of the concluding remarks and suggestions are as follows. 1. The reference materials should be greatly expanded and reorganized more effectively. 2. Subject specialist should be in charge of reference services. 3. The organization of reference room should be chain to the division library system. 4. Library education for the users should be improved.
