아파트 외관색채의 평가요인과 만족도에 관한 연구

Abstract

We, human begins, are living in the environments which are surrounded with colors, and while we are acting ＆ moving with our eyes open, we cannot leave for a moment the stimulation of colors. Because, at the apartments where people lead their daily lives and stay always, stimulation of colors always exists, the use of colors for the residence building will be a very important and crucial element of our living environments. Use of colors for the apartments' external appearances is currently on an increasing trend, however, it still remains at the level of simple and uniformal planning of colors. Disorderly and uniformal colors of apartment buildings' external appearance will not only destroy the beauty of the city, but also it gives strong psychological impacts and feelings or even it can affect our sentiments and emotion. In architecture, color is a crucial element which not only emphasizes the characteristics but also makes the distinction clear, consequently if we intend to create a desirable environment with a living comfortableness and phychological satisfaction of the residents, more systematic color-plans for the apartment buildings' external appearances and studies and researches to meet the needs of the residents will be required. Accordingly, the goal of this study, by examings and analysing how and from which point of view the residents are thinking about the external colors of their apartment buildings, by evaluating the actual residents' degree of satisfaction and feeling the importance about the apartments' external color-environments, and also by figuring out the residents' general attitudes towards and their needs for the external colors of apartments, will be to indicate a direction for the color environments of apartments' external appearances. The range of the study was limited to the apartment-residents of the Seoul City, and based on the examinations of existing literatures and data 440 families of Seoul City's 7 apartment complexes were selected and questioned with questionaires. Collected data from the survey were processed with a computerized statistical package called "SPSS" (Statistical Package for Social Science). The Results from this study could be summarized as follows; 1. When the residents evaluate the colors of external appearances they gave the priority to the clearness of colors degree of satisfaction with the colors, to their familiarity with the colors, etc. in consecutive orders. 2. As far as the external colors of their apartment buildings were concerned, generally residents who are living in the apartments, whose external appearance color is with high lightness and low chroma, showed positive reaction. 3. As far as the importance of external colors was concerned, the groups who were not satisfied with the external colors seemed to be more concerned about the external colors than the groups who were satisfied with the external appearance colors of their apartment buildings. 4. To the opinion that more diversified colors and generally more brilliant and lighter colors or partially more brilliant and splendid colors should be used for the external appearances, the residents showed a positive reaction. 5. To the current external appearance colors of apartment buildings and to the opinion that more tranquil and darker colors should be used, they showed a negative reaction.;인간은 색채로 둘러 싸인 환경속에 살고 있으며, 눈을 뜨고 활동하는 동안 우리는 잠시도 색채자극을 떠나서 살 수 없다. 많은 사람들이 일상생활을 하며 항상 머물러 있는 장소인 아파트에서는 색채의 자극이 항상 존재하게 되므로 주거건물의 색채사용은 주거환경에 매우 중요한 요소라고 할 수 있다. 현재 우리나라 아파트 건물의 외관색채는 유채색의 사용이 늘고 있는 경향이지만, 아직까지도 단조롭고 획일적인 색채계획의 범위에서 벗어나지 못하고 있다. 무질서하고 획일적인 아파트 외관색채는 도시의 아름다움을 파괴할 뿐 아니라, 거주자에게 강한 심리적 충격과 감정 또는 정서에 영향을 준다. 건축에 있어서 색채는 성격강조는 물론 구분을 뚜렷하게 하기 위해 필요한 요소로서, 주거의 안락함과 거주자의 심리적 만족 등 바람직한 주거환경을 조성하기 위해서는 좀 더 체계적인 아파트 외관의 색채계획 및 거주자의 요구사항 등에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 아파트 거주자들이 아파트 외관색채를 어떠한 관점에서 파악하는가를 조사·분석하여 그 평가요인을 추출·제시하고 아파트 외관색채 환경에 대한 실제 거주자들의 만족도 및 중요도를 평가하며, 거주자의 전반적인 태도 및 외관색채에 대한 요구사항을 파악함으로써 심리적 요구를 충족시켜 줄 수 있는 아파트 외관 색채 환경의 방향을 제시하는 데 있다. 연구범위는 서울시 아파트 거주자로 제한하였으며 문헌고찰을 바탕으로 서울시에 있는 7개단지 아파트 440가구를 대상으로 설문조사 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science)로 전산통계 처리하였다. 본 연구의 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. (1) 거주자들은 외관의 색채를 평가할 때 색상의 선명도·색상에 대한 만족도·색상에 대한 친근도의 순서로 파악하는 것으로 나타났다. (2) 아파트 외관색채에 대해서는 전반적으로 고명도·저채도의 색채를 사용한 아파트 거주자들이 보다 만족하는 태도를 보였다. (3) 외관색채의 중요성에 대해서는 외관색채에 불만족 하는 그룹이 만족하는 그룹보다 외관색채를 보다 중요하게 인식하는 태도를 나타냈다. (4) 거주자들은 아파트 외관에 보다 다양한 색상을 사용하는 것과 전반적으로 밝고 화려한 색을 사용하는 것, 또는 부분적으로 화려한 색을 사용하는 것에 긍정적인 태도를 나타냈다. (5) 현재 우리나라 아파트의 색상 그대로를 사용하는 것과 어둡고 차분한 색상을 사용하는 것에 대해서는 부정적인 태도를 보였다.
