회심곡 연구

Abstract

「회심곡」 · 「속회심곡」 · 「별회심곡」 · 「특별회심곡」 등의 「회심곡」류는 조선 시대 중기에 나타난 불교가사이다. 불교 가사는 여말 나옹 화상의 「서왕가」이래 많은 작품이 발표되어 현재 70여 편의 작품이 전해지고 있으나, 이를 대표하는 것은 「회심곡」류라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 「회심곡」류의 내용과 형식을 살핌으로써 종교 가사로서의 위치를 확정하고, 또 불교 가사의 성격을 포교성과 대중성 그리고 가창성으로 규정하여 민요에도 영향을 끼쳤음을 살펴 민중 문화로서의 특성을 살폈다. 또 「회심곡」류의 불교 가사가 같은 종교 가사인 천주교 가사와 동학 가사의 제작을 영향주었음을 내용과 형식의 비교를 통해 밝혀 보았다. 한편 「회심곡」류의 사적 위치를 규명하고자, 그 표현 기교나 교술성, 그리고 민중 문학이라는 성격을 중심으로 하여 「회심곡」류의 문학사적 위치를 살펴, 이 불교 가사들이 조선 시대 가사의 영역을 넓히는 데 중요한 역할을 담당하였음을 확인하였다.;The style of 'Hwaisimgok'〔回心曲〕, such as 'Hwaisimgok', 'Sok-Hwaisimgok', 'Bual-Hwaisimgok, 'Tukbual-Hwaisimgok', to Buddhist Kasa(words), the representative traditional old verse on Buddism, and it came in the middle of Choseon 1)ynasty. Since 'Seowang-ga' had been announced by Naong Whasang in the latter part of Korea, many Buddhist words were published and now seventy of them have been handed down, especially the typical style is very 'Hwaisimgok'. Therefore, in this thesis, I have fixed the position as a religious word, through consideration of the content and the form of that. I have also considered the character as a popular culture, prescribing that the character of Buddhist words were propagation, popularity and creativity and it influenced on folk songs. I showed that Catholic words and Donghak words were made under the influence of Buddhist words, the style of 'Hwaisimgok'. On the other hand, in the process of considering the position of the history of literature, attaching importance to the skill of expression, discription and the character of popular literature, I have made sure that these Buddhist words took important roles to widen the field of words in Choseon Dynasty.
