Art Fabric에서의 투명한 공간 조형

Abstract

In both sides of material and technique, as artistic medium of limitless potential energy, fiber is recognized newly and according to acceptance of tradition and introduction of new skill, it was risen as new space modeling art. Fiber which is repeated abundant development ana reform, was given fresh stimulus and is held in common artistic variety. Master of fiber arts field, by Irene Emery, as fabric of English language has meaning such as 'build' or 'fabricate' which is derived from Latin language, Fabricare, it menas that it is the general term for every fabric which is composed of fiber. Thus, purpose of this theory is tried to produce three-dimensional space modeling work which is expressed transparency belong to fabric which is one structure by artist. In this theory, as theoretical background, it grasps space modeling of art fabric and as art fabric, it is analysed with transparent space modeling writer as the central figure, and it related to the person's work, then it was compared, and as production of work, in order to produce deeply space, ray is introduced, it was constructed various wearing loom by geometrical constitution. At this time, each wearing loom is presented visual illusion effect whether angle is overlaped or not, and the work tried to attempt operations including it is given features which is seemed movement of work by such phenomenon. In such process of study art fabric is built original creation world which is based active experiment attitude, It could know that it is art, which is presenting collectively peculiar characteristic of material and individual sense, expression skill, etc.;섬유가 기술과 재료의 양면에서 무한한 잠재력을 지닌 예술적 매체로서 인식되면서부터 전통기법의 수용과 아울러 새로운 기법이 도입됨에 따라 새로운 공간 조형 예술로 나타나게 되었다. 발전과 변혁을 거듭한 섬유예술은 현대예술에 신선한 자극을 주었으며 예술적 다양성을 공유하고 있다. 섬유예술 분야의 권위자인 Irene Emery에 의하면 영어의 Fabric은 '짓다(build)' 또는 '짜 맞추다(fabricate)'라는 뜻의 라틴어 Fabricare에서 유래한 말로서 '섬유로 이루어진 모든 구조물들을 일컫는 총칭어'라고 한다. 이렇듯 본 논문에서는 예술가에 의해 창출된 섬유로 된 하나의 구성물인 Fabric에 속하는 투명함을 표현하는 입체적인 공간 작품을 제작하는 데에 있다. 본 논문에 있어서 이론적인 배경으로는 Art Fabric에 있어서의 투명한 공간 조형 작가를 중심으로 분석하여 본인의 작품과 연관시켜 비교하였으며, 작품 제작에 있어서는 깊이 있는 공간을 연출시키기 위해 광선을 도입시키고 기하학적인 구성에 의해 여러 개의 직조판이 보는 각도에 따라 겹쳐 보이기도 하고 아니기도 해서 시각적 illusion효과를 나타내게 되는데 이러한 현상에 의하여 작품이 움직이고 있는 듯한 인상을 주는 것도 포함시켜 작업을 시도 하였다.
