간호사의 성인지(性認知) 의식 향샹 및 교육프로그램 개발에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 간호사들의 성인지 의식을 알아보고, 성인지 의식을 올바르게 인식·정립할 수 있도록 성인지 교육 프로그램의 개발을 연구하는데 목적이 있다. 이렇듯 간호사의 성인지 교육 프로그램을 위해 설문지를 통한 간호사들의 성인지 의식 실태를 조사·분석한 뒤, 간호사의 성인지 관련 교육의 현실을 파악하고, 성인지 교육 관련 문헌연구와 국내·외 관련자료 분석을 토대로 성인지 교육을 위한 프로그램과 운영지침 등을 마련하였다. 본 연구는 서울지역 병원에서 근무하는 196명의 간호사를 대상으로 설문지 조사를 하였고, 설문지는 한국여성개발원에서 개발한 한국형남녀평등의식검사 (Korean Gender Egalitarianism Scale)(1999)에 Gender-Checklist(1999)를 첨부하여 가정생활, 교육생활, 직장생활, 사회·문화생활에 대하여 평소 생각하거나 느끼거나 행동하는 것에 응답하도록 한 뒤, 성별, 연령, 혼인 여부, 학력, 근무조건 등을 조사하여 분포에 따른 성인지 의식을 조사해 보았다. 연구 대상자들은 성인지의 개념과 성역할에 대해 의식적으로 직관하고 있었으며 사회적 현실에 대해 남녀 평등적 시각을 가지고 있었고, 현실생활에서 성역할의 변화를 희망하는 대상자들이 많았다. 그러나 연구 대상자들의 대부분이 성인지 교육을 받은 경험이 없었으나, 교육을 받았던 대상자들은 생활에 도움이 되었다는 인식이 높았다. 그리고 교육을 받지 않았더라도 성인지 교육의 필요성을 느끼고 있었다는 것을 조사결과로 알 수 있었다. 본 연구자는 간호사의 성인지 교육 프로그램의 교육일정을 5일 동안 1일 3시간씩, 총 15시간 프로그램을 위주로 개발하기 위하여 문헌연구를 통해 프로그램을 작성 및 제시하였으며, 교육영역은 '미래사회와 성역할의 변화', '남녀의 성의식과 성차별의 이해', '직장에서의 양성평등', '간호사의 역할 분석 및 평가', '간호사의 성인지적 역할 수행 과제'였고, 이를 프로그램의 틀로 하여 교육영역 및 내용을 구성하고 교육프로그램을 개발하였다. 결론적으로 간호사의 성인지 의식 향상을 위해 성인지 교육 프로그램을 통하여 성인지 의식을 향상시키고, 가정, 교육, 직장, 사회·문화 등 여러 방면에서 성인지 의식을 가지고 간호사들의 성인지 문제 해결방안을 제시하여 이 사회가 양성평등한 국가로 나아가도록 한다.;The aim of this research is to develop gender-sensitive educational program for establishing the right gender-sensitive awareness of nurses. For the research, nurses were asked to write their answers in questionnaire about their gender-sensitive awareness and gender equality. The gender-sensitive educational program based on domestic and foreign literatures and materials and the actual gender-sensitive educational condition of nurses. The nurses in Seoul of korea were selected as subjects from May, 24, 2003 to June, 12, 2003.The questionnaire for estimating the educational requirement of them consists with understanding about gender recognition, gender-sensitive education, character of sex-role, and gender awareness. To study their gender awareness, they were asked what they usually thought and felt about their life in home, school, work place, and society with Korean Gender Egalitarianism Scale(1999) developed by Korean Women's Development Institute and Gender-checklist(l999) SPSSWIN 10.0 program for statistical process and Frequency Analysis, Chi-square Test, One way Anova, T-test, and Reliability Analysis were used. 196 nurses were asked sex, age, marriage, degree, and employment condition for researching their gender-sensitive awareness. The research found that almost all subjects had few experiences given gender-sensitive education and thought they needed more. The 5-day schedule of the Gender-Sensitive educational program consisting with 3 hours a day(total 15 hours) was planned by studying related literatures. The contents of this program are as the following : 'the sex-role change in future society', 'the understanding on both gender-sensitive awareness and gender distinction', 'the gender equality in work places', 'the analysis and assessment on role of the nurse', and 'the task and gender-sensitive role achivement of nurse' The educational program is based on this contents. As a result, this program will help nurses satisfy their lives by cultivating their gender-sensitive awareness with approach in gender equality perspectives and suggesting the solutions of their gender-sensitive awareness problems.
