오음 음계(Pentatonic scale)를 통한 3~6학년의 창작 지도방안

Abstract

본 연구는 우리 나라의 일반 초등학교 3-6학년을 대상으로 하여 오음음계(pentatonic scale)를 통한 창작 지도 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 창작 활동은 학생들로 하여금 음악 시간에 좀더 능동적이고 적극적으로 수업에 참여할 수 있게 하며, 학생들은 그들이 알고 있는 음악적 개념과 요소들을 직접 실행해 보는 과정을 통하여 창의적인 경험을 할 수 있으므로, 일반 음악 교육과정에서 중요한 의의를 가진다. 그러므로, 교사는 학생들이 창의적인 활동을 하는데 있어서 부담감과 두려움을 없애 주고, 자연스럽게 접근할 수 있도록 창작 학습에 적절한 교수 자료와 지도법을 마련하는 것이 무엇보다도 필요하다. 본 창작 지도 방안은 오르프의 슐베르크에서 제시하고 있는 오음 음계의 창작 단계를 토대로 하였으며, 오음 음계를 활용하여 창작 학습의 다양한 방법을 소개하고 있는 여러 음악 교육자들의 문헌을 조사하여 작성 되었다. 또한 구체적인 방법을 진행하기 위해 음악교육과 창의성의 관계, 오음 음계에 관한 이론적 고찰을 다루었다. 학생들이 순차적이고 점진적으로 창의적인 활동을 경험할 수 있도록 학습을 전개하였으며, 교사들이 실제 수업 현장에서 적용해 볼 수 있는 음악 활동을 제시하는데 주안점을 두고 방법과 안건을 마련하였다. 창작은 아무것도 주어지지 않은 상황에서 이루어질 수는 없으며, 교사는 일정한 지시와 제한을 두어, 학생들이 그들이 가지고 있는 음악적 사고와 견해를 재구성할 수 있도록 도와주어야 한다. 이에 본 연구에 다루어지는 지도 방안은 교사와 학생들이 오음 음계를 통하여 창작 활동에 좀더 쉽고 흥미롭게 접근할 수 있도록 학습의 순서를 체계적으로 구성하는데 역점을 두었다. 그러므로, 이러한 활동은 학생들이 음악적으로 성장할 수 있는 값진 경험이 될 것이며, 그러한 점에 있어서 창작 활동의 교육적인 가치를 둘 수 있다.;This study is aiming at how the teaching method by using pentatonic scale is practical and creative to improve the music lesson to 3rd-6th grade in the elementary school. The creative activities make the students to participate in the music class with more enthusiasm and interest and the students could experience the creating of music by applying their musical concepts and elements they knew already. This process is therefore, of great significance in general music education. It is necessary for the music teachers to remove the students' difficulties and fears while they are engaging in the creative work. Furthermore, it is more important for the teachers to let their students to come close to the music lesson willingly and spontaneously by providing them with appropriate teaching materials and proper teaching method. This study was primarily based on the pentatonic scales creative stages which was suggested by Orff-Schulwerk and also prepared by doing research on the various studies and works done by several music scholars who had previously applied pentatonic scale in their creative activities. To carry on this study in a more effective way, this paper has contained and dealt with such issues as the relation between music education and creativeness, a theoretical observation on pentatonic scale. Accordingly, in order the students to experience creative activities sequentially and gradually, learning is being taken step by step and the study on the method of teaching creative work was designed to help elementary school teachers apply to day to day class. It is hard for students to make music at first without having any given condition. However, teachers are requested to show them certain limitation and to instruct what to follow and assist the students to restructure their musical concept and views of their own. Here, in the study of teaching method emphasis was made on the formation of learning procedure program to let student have more interest and make easy in creating music by using pentatonic scale. Consequently, students should get valuable experience from the learning program and it would enrich their life through music. It is here that we can find an educational value possibly through the creative activities.
