에로티시즘을 반영한 의상디자인 연구

Abstract

From the ancient to the modern world the man have had deep desires to the sex under their unconsciousness and such desires gave a birth to a structualized idea, the eroticism. Fashion is one of the most suitable means which reveals the cultural characteristics of the era. Today it positively accomodates desire of sexual instinct which interprets the potent beauty of human nature and there are many characterized products which express eroticism. Considering that the expression of eroticism, the basic desire of human, is an important motive of invention, it is a meaningful work to adopt underclothes, the direct and stimulating clothes as practical ones through the phenomenon of the outerization of underclothes. In this study I made a goal to suggest practical form of clothes which suit to people who has special jobs and fit into a special TPO. On pursuing this goal, I established modern pattern which had a characteristic of outerization of underclothes and I focused on effectiveness. I reviewed the definition of eroticism and its correlation with artistic trend. By analyzing the sexual aspect of human I looked over the relationship between the motive of wearing clothes and visualized the historical meaning of erotic clothes. I also analyzed the expression and revealing of human body and the effect which the outerization of underclothes had influence over fashion. Then I made the fundamental of creation through examining the type and characteristic of the result of the influence. On the basis of these researches I suggested eight pieces of clothes which were designed with the subject of eroticism and reflecting the phenomenon of the outerization of underclothes. The conclusions I have gotten through these works as follows. First, concerning wearing costumes which was regarded as a main expression of self, I eagerly experimented the way of exposure to reveal the inner sex of human being. So I could achieve the sensational eroticism through see-through pattern which exposed body directly or indirectly. Secondly, considering the concept of eroticism, I applied brassiere to the costumes which went beyond the general trend. They had artificially emphasized assymetrical shape and contrast of colors and got to creative form which surpassed existing fashion. Thirdly, through emphasizing bust, one of the erotic appeal point of woman's body, and tightening waist, I could make silhouette which distinguished visually erotic part. Finally, I found the possibility that a design which applied the shape of corset could point out the beauty of the supple curve of human body. In this study by creating the style which combines to outclothes and which does more than the basic function of protection I found the possibility that the phenomenon of outerization of underclothes can not only be a mean way to stimulate visually, but also be a productive idea for inventing new fashion style. We should consider the way of the expression of eroticism not only as a plain interpretation of sexual instinct, but also as a positive and artistic representation. Through these efforts it is possible to use eroticism as a motive which leads to the development of practical designing in fashion design.;인류초기부터 현대에 이르기까지 인간의 내면에는 무의식적으로 성에 대한 욕구가 잠재되어 있으며, 이러한 욕구는 마침내 에로티시즘이라는 구조화된 사상까지 파생시켰다. 복식은 그 당시의 문화의 일면을 나타내는 가장 적합한 수단 중 하나로, 오늘날 복식은 인간 내면에 잠재되어 있는 미를 실현하고자하는 성 본능의 욕구를 긍정적으로 수용하여, 에로티시즘을 복식에 적용시켜 다양한 모습으로 표현하고 있다. 복식에 있어서 인간의 원천적인 욕망이자 욕구인 에로티시즘의 표현이 중요한 창작동기라고 할 때, 속옷이라는 직접적이고 자극적인 의복을 속옷의 겉옷화 현상이라는 매개체를 통해 간접적이고 은유적인 노출의 효과로써 실용적인 의복으로 도입한다는 것은 의미가 있는 일이라 하겠다. 이에 본 연구에서는 복식에서의 에로티시즘의 표현방식 중 하나인 속옷의 겉옷화 현상을 중심으로, 현대적인 형태미를 표현함과 동시에, 효율성에 중점을 두어 특수한 직업을 가진 사람들을 대상으로 특별한 T.P.O에 맞춘 실용적인 복식조형을 제시함에 연구의 목적을 둔다. 본 연구의 내용과 방법으로써, 이론적 배경으로 에로티시즘의 정의와 예술사조와 관련한 특성을 살펴보았으며, 인간의 성적 측면에 대한 심리학적 고찰을 통해 의복의 착용동기와 성적 행동과 복식의 연관성을 살펴보고, 역사적 고찰을 통해 에로틱한 복식이 가지는 시대적 의미를 규명한 후, 에로티시즘과 복식이 어떠한 유대감을 형성하는지 조명하였다. 또한 복식의 에로티시즘 표현 방식인 인체의 표현과 노출 현상, 속옷의 겉옷화 현상이 패션에 미친 영향을 통해, 그 유형과 특성을 분석하여 작품 제작의 기반을 설정하였다. 작품은 위의 연구를 토대로 에로티시즘의 주제에 입각하여 속옷의 겉옷화 현상을 중심으로 한 의상디자인으로서 8점의 실물작품이 제시되었고, 작품제작을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자기표현의 중심 수단인 복식착용에 있어서 인간의 내면에 잠재되어 있는 성을 부각시키기 위한 적극적 방법의 일환으로 노출을 시도한 결과, 투시를 통한 신체 부위의 간접 노출과 직접 노출로 인하여 선정적인 에로티시즘이 표현될 수 있었다. 둘째, 에로티시즘의 주제에 입각하여 브래지어를 복식에 접목시킨 결과, 일반적으로 사용되는 브래지어에 대한 통념에서 벗어나 비대칭, 색채 대비 등으로 인위적으로 부각시킴과 동시에, 부분 노출과 함께 기존의 디자인에서 탈피한 복식미를 표현할 수 있었다. 셋째, 여성의 신체중 에로틱 포인트가 되는 가슴을 입체형태로 돌출 시키고 허리는 조이는 실루엣을 도입함으로써, 에로티시즘적 표현을 강조할 수 있었다. 넷째, 보정용 속옷의 형태를 응용한 디자인은 인체의 유연한 곡선미를 강조하는 모티브가 될 수 있다는 가능성을 발견하였다. 본 연구에서는 속옷이 가진 본연의 기능인 보호의 기능에서 벗어나 외의에 접목시킨 복식형태를 창출함으로써, 속옷의 겉옷화 현상을 단지 시각적인 자극만을 위한 도구로서가 아니라 복식조형의 새로운 아이디어가 될 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다. 끝으로 이러한 연구가 복식에서 표현되는 에로티시즘의 방식이 단편적인 선정성의 부각으로의 의미뿐만이 아니라, 미의식의 발현에 의미를 둔 긍정적인 방향으로 유도할 수 있는 계기가 되고, 복식 디자인에 있어서도 실용적인 디자인 개발의 모티브로 삼을 수 있어야 하겠다.
