일본인 고급 한국어 학습자의 요청 화행 연구

Abstract

본 논문에서는 기존의 요청 화행 연구가 요청 전략 실현에 초점을 맞추어 연구를 진행해 온 것과는 달리 요청 전략과 이 전략을 구현하는 활용어미와 표현을 통해 나타나는 요청 표현이 요청의 간접성을 반영하여 요청의 부담도를 줄이는데 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 조사ㆍ분석하는 것이 주된 연구 목적이다. 또한 기존의 요청 화행 연구의 변인으로 설정된 친소 관계, 권력 관계에 더하여 요청의 성격에 따라 ‘요구’와 ‘부탁’으로 나누어 설정하고, 요청의 내용이 공적인지 사적인지 에 따라 ‘공적’과 ‘사적’으로 구분하였다. 마지막으로 친소 관계도 친밀도가 전혀 없는 낯선 관계인 ‘극소’를 추가 설정하여 각 변인에 따라 요청 전략과 요청 표현이 각 집단별 어떤 차이를 보이는지 고찰해보자 했다. 본 연구는 실험 참여자로 한국어 모어 화자(KNS) 집단, 일본어 모어 화자 집단(JNS), 일본인 한국어 학습자(JKL) 집단을 각각 40명씩, 총 120명을 선정하여 DCT를 통해 요청 전략과 요청 표현 양상을 조사ㆍ분석하였다. 본 논문의 구성은 다음과 같다. I 장에서는 연구의 목적과 필요성을 서술하고 요청 화행과 화용적 관점에서의 요청 표현 관련 선행 연구를 고찰함으로서 요청 화행 연구에서 요청 전략뿐만 아니라 요청 표현에 관한 연구의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. II 장에서는 요청 화행과 요청의 부담을 줄여주는 활용어미의 개념에 대해 살펴보았다. III 장에서는 본 논문을 위한 자료 수집 방법에 관해 기술하였다. 요청 상황 설정의 타당성 확보를 위해 상황조사를 실시하였고 본 실험의 신뢰도와 타당성의 확보를 위해 예비실험을 실시하였다. 또한 이를 통해 요청 전략의 분석의 틀과 요청 표현의 분석의 틀을 제시하였다. IV 장에서는 본 실험을 통해 얻어진 결과를 통해 요청 전략 분석과 요청 표현 분석을 각 변인별로 분석하였다. V 장에서는 연구 결과를 종합 분석하여 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 요청 전략 실현 양상에 있어서 JKL 집단은 KNS 집단의 요청 전략 실현 양상과 JNS 집단의 요청 전략 실현 양상의 과도기적 성격을 보여준다. 둘째, 요청 표현 실현에 있어서 KNS 집단은 요청 전략이 직접적인 경우에는 간접적인 요청 표현을 통해 그 균형을 이루고자 했으나 JKL 집단은 요청 전략과 요청 표현의 상호 보완적인 사용에 이르지 못하고 직접적인 요청 전략 수행 시 그 전략을 실현하는 요청 표현도 직접적인 경우가 많았다. 또한 KNS 집단은 다양한 간접적인 요청 표현을 구사하였으나 JKL 집단의 경우, 한정된 간접적 요청 표현을 사용하였다. 본 논문의 가지는 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존의 요청 화행 연구는 요청 전략의 실현 양상에 초점을 두고 연구ㆍ분석을 실시하였다. 그러나 요청 전략에 초점을 둔 연구는 한국어의 특징적인 요인인 활용어미와 표현을 통해서 나타나는 다양한 기능과 의미를 간과한 경우가 많았다. 본 연구에서는 요청 전략과 더불어 요청 표현의 실현 양상을 살펴봄으로써 KNS 집단은 요청 화행을 실현하는 경우, 요청 전략과 요청 표현의 상호 관계가 보완적이고 균형적으로 작용하고 있음에도 불구하고 JKL 집단은 그렇지 못함을 발견할 수 있었다. 둘째로, 요청의 변인을 기존의 연구와는 달리 세분화하여 조사ㆍ분석한 결과 변인에 따라 요청 전략과 요청 표현이 KNS 집단과 JKL 집단이 상이한 결과를 도출해냈다. 이는 한국어 교육 현장에 시사하는 바가 크다. 한국어 학습자가 제시된 요청 상황에 내포된 맥락을 인지하고 그에 적절한 발화를 가능케 하는 요인이 친소 관계, 관력 관계뿐만 아니라 요청의 성격과 요청의 내용, 세분화된 친소 관계 등이 있음을 밝혔으므로 이를 한국어 교육 현장에 적용하여 교수ㆍ학습의 이론적 근거를 마련했다는 점에 의미를 둘 수 있다.;In this present study, unlike other previous studies which focused on realization of request strategies, the main point is to research and analyze how request expressions affects minimizing imposition level of request according to indirectness of request. Also, add to social distance and social power, which are variables of existing request speech act , this thesis paper divides 'official' and 'private' according to the contents of request. At last, in the thesis, I set 'strangers‘, unfamiliar relationship that has no social relationship at all; therefore, it is aimed for finding how different request strategies and request expression are to each group according to each variables. 120 people, including 40 Korean native speakers, 40 Japanese native speakers, and 40 Japanese Korean learners, are selected to research and analyze the trend of request strategies and request expressions through DCT. The composition of the this paper is like the following. In chapter 1, through describing the aims and necessity of this study and investigating the previous studies related to request expressions, not only request strategies but also necessity of studying request expressions. In chapter 2, it defines the concept of Korean engings of sentences which minimizes imposition of requests. In chapter 3, it describes how to collect all the information for this paper. In order to gain validity of set-up of request situations and I also did pilot test in order to gain reliability as well as validity. In addition, through this experiment, it suggests the frame work of analysis of request strategies and request expressions. In chapter 4, it analyze request strategies and request expressions according to each variables, based on the results of this research. In chapter 5, it shows final result through synthesis analyzing all the research results. First, in terms of realization of request strategies, JKL group shows a transient phenomenon of realization of request speech act between KNS group and JNS group. Second, in terms of realization of request expressions, KNS group tend to balance using indirect request expressions when request strategies are very direct, however, JKL groups could not reach to the complementary coorperation of both request strategy and request expression and when JKL accomplish direct request strategies their the request expressions mostly comes direct. Also KNS groups it seeks the various indirect request expressions, however, in case of JKL groups, the limited indirect request expressions are used.
