樹形에 의한 陶磁造形 硏究

Abstract

옛부터 자연은 인간의 창작활동에 原動力이 되어왔을 뿐만 아니라 무한한 감동을 안겨주었다. 또한 각양각색 千變萬化하는 자연의 형태는 근대 Design의 형태연구에 있어서도 중요한 根源이 되고 있다고 하겠다. 本硏究에서 대상으로 하고 있는 나무의 형태-樹形은 자연계의 수많은 생물 중에서도 특별히 인류에게 視覺的, 심리적으로 안정감과 쾌락감, 친근감을 주어 자연스럽게 造形活動의 중요한 소재로서 다루어졌고 藝術的 창작의 根源이 되어 왔다. 특히 樹形을 구성하고 있는 여러 要素 중에서도 나무의 主軸을 이루고 있는 줄기-樹幹은 나무에 內在하는 强力한 힘과 무한한 生命力을 表象할뿐 아니라 예술적으로도 탁월한 표현의 대상이 됨으로 本硏究에서는 樹形 중에서도 樹幹部의 조형적 특성을 추출하여 陶磁造形技法으로 표현코자 試圖하였다. 樹幹部는 가장 力動的인 부분일뿐 아니라 樹形을 이루는 核心的 역할을 한다. 그러므로 本硏究에서는 그같은 樹幹의 外觀뿐만 아니라 表面의 質感, 나무의 生長 分化, 다른 나무들과 엉키어 이루어지는 共存의 형태, 나무가지에 寄生하는 미생물류와 같은 다른 생물들과의 造形的 관계등을 관찰의 대상으로 삼아 그에서 얻어진 것을 陶幹造形세계로 도입하여 우선 자연 그대로의 형태에 가까운 寫實的인 수법으로부터 점차 整形化의 과정을 통하여 幾何學的인 형태로의 변화 과정을 順次的으로 陶幹藝術로서 표현코자 試圖하였다. 前述한 바와 같은 發想과 展開과정을 통하여 얻어진 結果로서 첫째 우리 주위에 散在하는 수많은 自然의 대상들이 새로운 관점에서 陶幹藝術로 表現될 수 있다는 確信과 여러 각도에서 관찰하고 變形시켜가는 과정에서 무수한 조형의 創造可能性을 체험하게 되었다. 둘째 材質感의 표현을 위한 石膏作業을 통하여 다소 복잡하고 변화가 심한 形象이나 質感이라 하더라도 표현할 수 있었고 多樣하고 효과적인 질감의 개발가능성을 발견할 수 있었다. 세번째로 板作業과 물레成形을 조합시킴으로써 幅넓은 造形活動이 可能함을 體得할 수 있었다. 네번째로 胎土는 白磁用胎土를 사용하였으나 태토의 성분을 다르게 配合 사용한다면 더욱 다양한 작품표현의 가능성을 提示할 수 있을것으로 본다.;Nature has become a motive power of human's creative work activity and has given man infinite feeling since old times. The appearence of nature which is changing into all kinds of shapes has become an important design of modern design form study. The form of trees which is selected as the subject of this study is important as a source of creative work in artistic modeling activity, because it gives a sense of pleasure, stability and familiarity to man visually and psychologically. A tree trunk forming main axis of tree shows energetic power and infinite vitality, and becomes the subject of expression So this study attemted express ceramic form by extracting artistic modeling characteristic of tree trunk. Thish study tried to introduce the image which can be got by observing into the world of ceramic form not only the appearance of tree trunk but the texture of surface, coexistent form with other trees and relationship with other living things that are parasitic on trees, etc. This study, therefore, attempted to show as ceramic which is changing form realistic technique near to nature's form into geometrical form through shaping process. The results of this study are as follows : First, TIt displayted that the infinite subjects of nature have a possibility that can ba made into ceramics with a new viewpoint. Second, It displayed that there were expression of form and texture withe some complexity and excessive change through plastering in order to express the texture. Third, It displayed that there were possibility of shortening of forming time and wide and effective modeling activity by combinating plate work and wheel formnig. Finally white clay was mostly used in forming process but If the quality of white clay should be mixed differently and be made forming, more various possibility of works expression would be presented.
