미술의 이해에 기초한 미술교육 프로그램 개발 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 학습자가 자신의 느낌과 생각을 자유롭게 표현하고 생활 속에 존재하는 아름다움을 바라볼 수 있는 미적 안목을 갖도록 하기 위하여 미술의 이해에 기초한 미술교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 지금까지 우리나라의 미술교육은 창의력 향상을 위한 표현중심 교육에 치우쳐 미술이 삶 속에서 다양하고 중요한 기능을 수행한다는 사실을 인식하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 미술교육과정의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방법으로 미술의 이해를 바탕으로 한 다양한 미술활동을 경험하게 함으로써 학습자의 미적 안목을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램의 개발 및 적용가능성 여부를 위해 수행하도록 한다. 미술의 이해를 바탕으로 개발된 프로그램은 실기제작, 미술사, 미술비평, 미학의 4영역으로 구성된다. 3-4차시의 4가지 수업으로 구성된 프로그램은 경기도 남양주시에 위치한 심석초등학교 6학년을 대상으로 하여 4주 동안 실시된다. 본 연구를 위해 DBAE(Disclplined Based Art Education)개념 및 성격, 구조에 대한 이해를 구하고, 한국에서의 DBAE 선행 연구를 고찰하며, 7차 교육과정과 DBAE의 관계를 알아보고 그에 따른 수행평가 방식을 살피는 문헌 연구방법이 사용된다. 그리고 개발된 4개의 프로그램은 어떻게 DBAE적 접근이 서양의 현대 작가의 예술작품을 이해시킬 수 있는지 보여주는 내용의 실험 연구방식을 포함한다. 실험집단에는 미술의 이해를 바탕으로 개발한 수업모형을 적용하고 통제집단에는 제작활동중심으로 이루어지는 기존의 수업방식을 그대로 적용하여 그 결과를 미술태도검사지와 수업결과물인 감상문, 자기평가지, 교사의 체크리스트, 실기작품을 통하여 분석해 봄으로서 학습자의 미적 변화 정도를 알아보도록 한다. 이에 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미술가의 작품을 볼 기회를 자주 갖기 때문에 아동의 시각적 경험이 풍부해진다. 둘째, 미술가의 작품에 대한 이야기를 나누면서 미술에 대한 이해와 사고가 촉진된다. 셋째, 매체와 기법 사용에 대한 숙달로 미술에 대한 자신감을 갖는다. 넷째, 체계적으로 조직된 미술수업은 아동의 창의성에 도움이 된다. 다섯째, 이 프로그램은 학습자가 생활 속에 존재하는 미적 대상에 관심을 가지고 이를 향유할 수 있는 태도를 향상시키는데 도움이 된다.;The purpose of the study was to examine the background of DBAE and its implication on current Korea art education era and to present art programs based on the DBAE approach. Since students have been taught to make their efforts only to improve their ability in expression, we do not acknowledge art has an important effect on our lives. AS an attempt to solve these problems of art curricula, the researcher applied the art curriculum of DBAE which improve student's artistic vision through experiencing various art activities that art compose of 'Understanding of Art' to elementary art education. This program is supported by producing art pieces art history, art criticism and esthetics on the basis of DBAE. The sixth graders from Simsuk Elementary School at Namyangju, Kyenggido participated in this 4 - week program which consist of 4 units of three to four hour's class's. The study included the applicability of DBAE through presenting a DBAE program model, investing researches studied on DBAE in Korea, the relationship between DBAE and 7th Korean National Art Education, DBAE and performance assessment methods. : and four art programs presented to show how DBAE approach is applied for appreciating art works by contemporary western artists. And the researches made inquiries about changes in student's esthetics senses through test papers and questionnaires by applying the same subject a s a creative self-expression art curriculum to control group. The results of this study art a s follows: The effects of the DBAE class art that (1) the visual experiences the student become plentiful due to their frequent chances to look at a pieces, (2) their comprehension and thinking about art are promoted by talking about art pieces, (3) they gain confidence in art due to the proficiency in using technique and media (4) the art education composed of systematic teaching method helps the children with originality of them, (5) this program proved to be a better method to enhanced children's attitudes on art which was significant, and (6) more DBAE programs and its artistic approach should be carefully investigated and developed for students to fulfill their various needs.
