고등학교 『정보 산업』교과서 비교ㆍ분석 연구

Abstract

현대 사회가 정보화 사회로 급격히 변화함에 따라, 우리들 모두에게는 정보화 사회에 적응할 수 있는 능력을 기르는 것이 중요한 과제로 떠올랐다. 특히 미래를 짊어질 학생들에게는 더욱 중요한 문제이므로 이러한 능력을 개발하는 방법으로 학교 컴퓨터 교육의 중요성이 강조되고 있으며 이러한 추세에 맞추어 일반계 고등학교에서도 제5차 교육 과정부터 『정보 산업』이 독립 과목으로 신설되었다. 학교 교육에 있어서 교과서는 교육 내용을 전달하는 주된 교육 수단이다. 그러므로 효과적인 컴퓨터 교육을 위해서는 양질의 교과서를 제작하여 학교에서 사용하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문은 제6차 교육 과정에 의한 『정보 산업』교과서 총9종을 비교.분석한 연구로서 일선 학교의 교과서 선택을 돕고, 질적으로 향상된 교과서를 제작하기 위한 지침을 마련하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 분석에 쓰인 기준은 교과서 분석.평가에 대한 선행 연구를 토대로 하고 컴퓨터 교육의 특성을 감안하여 작성하였으며 기준은 교과서의 외형적 체제, 단원의 구성 체제, 내용의 조직, 내용의 제시에 대한 부분으로 구성되었다. 분석을 통해 드러난 현행 『정보 산업』교과서의 문제점은 교육 과정과 교과서의 불일치, 보충 및 심화 자료 부족, 학습 동기 유발을 위한 내용 부족, 용어의 불일치, 단편적인 실습 문제, BASIC에 편중된 프로그래밍 언어 교육, 변화하는 컴퓨터 교육의 추세를 반영하지 못하고 있는 점 등이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 문제점에 대한 개별 개선 방안과 단원의 구성 체제에 대한 개선안 및 교과서에서 추가로 다뤄야 할 내용을 제안하였다.;Recently, our society has rapidly entered into an 'Information Age'. Thus, it became a very important issue in school education to improve students' ability so that they can easily adapt to the current society. The importance of having a computer education course in high school curriculum was recently realized, and as a result, the subject of 'Information Industry' was added to the 5th high school curriculum. In school education, textbooks are the most important means to deliver to students what they should learn. An intensive study on textbooks is, thus, needed for effective/efficient education in school. In this study, we selected 9 currently used textbooks for the 'Information Industry' subject, and provided guidelines that help schools easily select their textbooks in the future. The methods used here are based on previous studies on textbooks. We classified the textbooks based on the outline of the contents, the organization of sections and contents, and the presentation of contents. The problems revealed in the study can be summurized as a discrepancy between the curriculum and textbooks, the lack of the supplementary /further study material's, the shortage of the content for the motivation of students, biased programming language education in the BASIC language, inconsistancy in termilogy, and the lack of the current computer education. As a solution to these problems, we suggest some guidelines to modify these textbooks. We also suggest how the chapters are organized and what other additional materials are needed.
