고구려 벽화를 응용한 의상디자인 연구

Abstract

In 21 centuries, It's been a period of the cultural battle. they thought art is economy long times ago in the developed countries. and lots of countries and firms have invested in that area. for the growth of competition of the culture, It is necessary that they should have world competitive power developing various cultural products. It is not exception of fashion. there are a lot of famous designers based on domestic culture. Korea also have various culture, and It is essential that fashion include artistic emotion. according1y, this study suggests korean and world wide new fashion grafting on typical korean culture treasure the mural paintings from the koguryo for the purpose of globalization of korean fashion. The koguryo is one of the ancient countries in the korean peninsula, and koguryo had active dynamic spirits because of having a hunting culture of north side. the mural paintings from the koguryo are the root of ancient mural paintings from korean peninsula. and It reflects ancient spirits and ideas the mural paintings from the koguryo. This study apply hand needle punching using material felt for the enlargement of historical feeling and motive of the mural paintings from the koguryo. I will take an opportunity to describe a few pieces that were created and displayed by Designer Yi Cinoo, as these pieces show her intention to instill the Koguryo mural painting motifs in her work. firstly, I investigate needle punching method used by production method. secondly, I investigate needle punching method of non-woven fabric based on development of using this method. I produced 8 production based on the mural painting from the koguryo using hand needle punching method, and we are taking a conclusion. First, the mural paintings from the koguryo creating korean cultural production. the mural paintings is ideal material because of including life of living and the world beyond of koguryo peoples. Second, the mural paintings from the koguryo is suitable for developing art of fashion. The art points of mural painting are estimated highly and they highten the quality of clothes because of color. Futhermore, it gives different feelings to use one dimensional mural painting to three dimensional clothes. Third, hand needle punching method is suitable method of describing pictorial feeling and modeling beauty. Fourth, hand needle punching method is able to connecting felt with various material. felt is difficult to mix with another textile except of wool in the past. but, hand needle punching method is able to mix with all kinds of textile. It is able various creative artistic activity and art wear fashion method making a new vision connecting with another material. Like these, mural painting and hand needle punching gives endless imagination to create clothes, they need to studied. I hope It make korean culture worldwide.;21세기는 문화 전쟁의 시대이다. 선진국에서는 일찍부터 예술을 경제로 인식하여 국가나 기업이 투자를 아끼지 않고 있는 실정이다. 문화의 경쟁력을 키워나가기 위해서는 자국의 우수한 문화를 육성하여 다양한 문화 상품을 개발하고 세계 시장에서 경쟁력을 갖추어야 한다. 의상 분야 역시 예외가 아니어서 자국의 문화에 기초한 세계적인 디자이너들이 탄생되고 있다. 한국은 다양한 문화유산을 가지고 있고, 이는 의상의 예술성을 부각시키는 데 손색이 없다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국 의상의 세계화를 목표로, 한국의 대표적 문화유산인 고구려 벽화를 의상에 접목시켜서 한국적이면서도 세계적인 새로운 의상을 제시하고자 한다. 고구려는 한반도의 고대 국가 중 하나이고, 북쪽의 수렵문화를 가지고 있어 활동적이고 진취적인 기상을 가지고 있다. 이러한 고구려의 벽화는 한반도 고대벽화의 뿌리이고, 여기에는 조상들의 기개와 사상이 그대로 반영되어 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 고구려 벽화 색채와 낡고 오래된 표면 특성, 회화적 이미지를 표출시키기 위해 펠트솜을 문양의 소재로 사용하고, 핸드 니들 펀칭 기법을 활용하여 견고성을 부여하였다. 본 연구의 이론적 배경으로 고구려 벽화에 대해 조사하고, 그 중 본 연구의 소재로 사용될 무용총의 수렵도와 널칸 친정 벽화, 덕흥리 고분의 전실 천정 벽화를 중심으로 전반적인 특정과 색채를 분석하였다. 제작 기법으로 사용되는 니들 펀칭 기법을 알아보고, 핸드 니들 펀칭 기법 개발의 기초가 된 부직포(non-woven fabric)의 니들 펀칭 기법을 살펴본 뒤, 핸드 니들 펀칭 기법의 특성을 알아보겠다. 이를 바탕으로 하여 고구려 벽화를 응용한 작품 총 8벌을 제작하였다. 이를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고구려 벽화는 한국적인 표현을 하는 문화 상품 제작에 적합한 소재이다. 벽화는 고구려인의 생활상과 내세관을 그리고 있어서 한국인의 혼을 표현하기에 더할 나위 없이 좋은 소재이다. 둘째, 고구려 벽화는 의상으로 전개하여 의상의 예술성을 높이는데 적합하다. 벽화의 회화성은 그 자체로 예술성을 높이 평가받고 있으며, 색상의 사용에 있어서도 고급스럽기 때문에 의상의 부가가치를 높여준다. 더욱이 벽화의 1차원적인 이미지는 의상이라는 3차원에 적용하였을 때 색다른 느낌을 부여할 수 있었다. 셋째, 펠트솜을 이용한 핸드 니들 펀칭 기법은 고구려 벽화의 낡고 오래된 느낌을 표현하기에 알맞은 기법이며, 회화성과 조형적인 아름다움을 표현하는데 적합하다. 넷째, 핸드 니들 펀칭 기법은 펠트솜과 다양한 소재와의 결합을 가능하게 해준다. 이전 펠트솜은 모 성분을 제외한 직물과는 융합이 어려워 사용에 제한이 있었으나, 핸드 니들 펀칭 기법으로 인해 소재의 종류에 구애받지 않고 독특한 소재 디자인 창출이 가능하다. 뿐만 아니라 다른 소재와의 결합에 있어서 기존 소재와의 실용적 차원에서 실질적 결합이 이루어질 수 있다. 이와 같이 벽화와 핸드 니들 펀칭 기법이라는 두 가지 소재는 의상 창작에 있어서 무한한 상상력을 제공해 주며 앞으로도 연구가 끊임없이 진행되어야 할 분야라 하겠다. 앞으로도 이에 대한 다양한 연구가 거듭되어 세계 시장에서 경쟁력을 갖추고 한국의 문화를 세계화시키는 데 앞장 설 수 있기를 바란다.
