열가소성 필름을 이용한 텍스츄어 표현 연구

Abstract

조형 활동에 있어서 미적 추구는 예술가들의 창작 의지와 표현 방법에 따라 다양한 양상으로 나타나고 있으며, 오늘날 미술에 있어서 이러한 표현 형식들은 예술의 소재 선택에서 부터 표현 방법에 이르기까지 확산되어 작품의 형태와 표현의 자율성을 부여하였다. 최근에 이러한 예술 전반의 경향으로 섬유예술도 조형적으로 그 공감대를 넓히게 됨에 따라 과거의 기능주의적인 표현 방법에서 벗어나 사물의 표현 방법과 의도에 따른 형식에 구애받지 않은 감성을 바탕으로 한 조형적 표현 가능성을 추구하고 있다. 자연의 외형적 형상을 받아들여 직접적으로 모방을 하는 것이 아니라, 조형적 예술적 수단으로 자연의 내적 가치를 다시 승화시킨 미로 표현하는 것에 의미를 두고 있다. 본 연구자는 자연의 대상의 한 부분인 지층의 이미지를 통하여 자연의 미적 질서와 규칙성을 관찰하고 이것을 외적 형상의 있는 그대로가 아닌 관념적이고 이상화된 자연의 내재된 성격을 표현하고자 한다. 특히 본 연구자는 지층의 끊임없이 변화하는 주변 상황과의 관계 속에서 기억되는 흔적을 형상화하기 위한 하나의 표현 기법으로써 안료가 흐르면서 생기는 우연의 예기치 못한 텍스츄어를 표현할 수 있는 기법을 개발하고자 한다. 이러한 기법 연구를 위하여 우연에서 나오는 계획된 텍스츄어의 표현에 적합한 열가소성 필름을 매개체로 한 기법 실험 연구를 하였다. 이를 위하여 필름의 종류에 따른 텍스츄어 비교 효과 연구, 실크와 면의 염색성 비교 효과 연구, 섬유 수분 함유량에 따른 텍스츄어 비교 효과 연구, 실크 종류에 따른 텍스츄어 비교 효과 연구, 안료의 농도에 따른 텍스츄어 비교 효과 연구, 염료와 안료의 염착성 비교 효과 연구, 견뢰도에 관한 연구 등에 관한 실험 분석에 의하여 본 연구의 주제에 적합한 표현 기법을 선택하여 작품을 제작하고 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 다양한 열가소성 필름과 수성 스크린 잉크(silk screen ink: 수용성 안료)는 의도된 텍스츄어 효과에 적합하였으며 이를 극대화 할 수 있었고, 특히 열가소성 필름 중에서 폴리에틸렌 필름은 밀착 효과가 높고 구김이 유연함으로써 공간의 무한한 조형 세계를 표현할 수 있었으며, 둘째, C.D.C, 세틴, 수직 실크와 같은 섬유의 조직 밀도가 높고 섬세할수록 텍스츄어 효과가 선명하게 나타났으며, 셋째, 단계 실험을 통한 안료의 농도 비율에 따른 텍스츄어 효과는 물:원액=7:3이 가장 적합하였다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과로 본 연구자는 재료의 특성을 파악하고 텍스츄어 효과를 의도적으로 모색할 수 있었으며 지층에서 나타난 생성과 변화의 흔적에 좀 더 가깝게 다가설 수 있었다. 앞으로 이와 같은 실험을 통한 지속적인 연구와 새로운 주제의 현대 사회가 요구하는 개인의 독창적인 창작을 위한 하나의 토대를 마련하고자 한다.;In the formative arts, a pursuit of aesthetics is appearing in various ways according to the creative intention and expressional method to the artist, and give a freedom of expression from the choice of material to the method of expression. Due to these art fashions in recent, the art fabric is also free from the functionalistic expression with making its sympathy widen and pursuing the formative expressional possibility based on without controlling to the form by the expression method and intention of the object. Especially, it has mean in that is not mimic directly acceptance with a external shape but give a mean in feeling of a character having internal world of nature, and so giving a shape of experimental feeling. I intend to observe the aesthetic order and regularity, express the conceptional and idealized immanent character of nature and the shape of innocence caused by the course of our lives as a kind of expressional skill making a configuration of trace in relation with environmental situation. I have a intention with developing a expressional texture skill to making an unexpected texture occurring with and by flowing of pigment. I have studied a experiment having a media so called thermoplastic film fitted within a spontaneous expression of texture. As experiments to this purpose, of experimental study on texture according to kinds of film, comparative experiment of dyeability of silk and cotton fabrics, effect of the water content in fabric, texture experiment according to by kind of silk, experimental effect of texture by the concentration of pigment, the experiment of dye and pigment, testing for colour fastness, as a result of choosing and analyzing a piece of work suitable to the subject of study, and I obtained following results; First, polyethylene film and ink for the silk screen were suitable to the spontaneous texture effect. Especially, because polyethylene film has high adhesion effect, and soft wrinkle properties, I could express the unlimited formative world. Second, having higher density and finess of texture fabrics, more making fine texture effect. Third, the effect of texture according to concentration of pigment was best in the ratio of water:undiluted solution with 7:3, respectively. I made better effect of texture intentionally showing in the picture effects by these, and could reach much more to the trace of creation and change appearing in geological layer. A method of textured expression using thermoplastic film obtained by my skill experiment was suitable to my theme, will provide a momentum to make formation of steady study and theory through expression obtained by experiment, and will tend to make a groundwork in order to product creative work of as a new study and formative world.
