부조적인 질감을 응용한 복식디자인 연구

Abstract

소재에 대한 개발과 창의적인 재질표현을 강조하고 있는 현대미술의 흐름에 따하 복식에서는 재질감에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있으며, 이러한 관심은 전통의 수공예적인 기법들을 현대적으로 재해석하여 그 표현 양식을 다양화시키고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 질감의 촉각적인 재질특성을 부각시키고 조형적으로 재조명하여 부조적인 질감으로 표현하고자, 선(線)적 구성을 부조적으로 표현하기에 적합한 터킹기법을 이용하였다. 또한, 자유로운 형태와 색채를 효과적으로 조화시키고자 슬래쉬와 패치워크를 터킹과 결합하여 사용하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 현대복식에서의 질감표현 영역을 탐구하여 터킹에 의한 복식디자인의 부조적인 질감표현 가능성을 모색하고, 터킹으로 다트의 분량을 전환시켜 기능적이며 장식적인 복식디자인의 독특한 조형성을 표현하는 데에 있다. 연구의 내용 및 방법은 이론적 배경으로서 부조적인 질감에 대한 일반적인 고찰과 부조적인 질감을 강조한 복식디자인을 참고 작품으로 표집하고 그 조형적 특성을 종합 검토하였다. 질감을 강조하기 위한 기법 중에서 터킹의 정의와 종류, 역사적 유래를 문헌자료를 통해 조사하였고, 현대복식 중에서 터킹을 응용한 복식 디자인을 표집분석하였다. 선행된 이론적인 연구를 토대로 하여 부조적인 질감 표현을 위해 터킹을 주요 기법으로 하고 슬래쉬와 패치워크를 응용하여 그 효과를 배가시켰으며, 색채대비에 의한 시각적 효과를 나타낸 작품을 제작하였다. 작품은 총 8점을 제작하였는데, 투피스 6점과 원피스 2점을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결론을 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 복식에서의 소재의 부조적인 표현을 위한 방법으로서 터킹은 독특한 질감 표현 효과를 가지고 있으며, 다른 기법과의 결합으로 독창적인 조형성을 추구 할 수 있었다. 둘째, 터크형태에 있어서 자유로운 방향과 높낮이의 선적 구성은 부조적인 질감효과에 의한 조형성을 풍부하게 하였다. 셋째, 의상 실루엣에 있어서 터킹기법을 이용하여 다트의 분량을 터크로 전환시켜 입체 재단을 가능하게 하여 장식적이며 기능적인 형태를 형성할 수 있었다. 넷째, 염색으로 인한 색채의 점이적인 변화는 시각적인 쾌감을 주며, 서로 다른 소재에서 느껴지는 이질감은 터킹으로 인한 촉각적인 표면효과를 시각적으로 부각시킬 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 터킹으로 인한 소재에의 색다른 재질감의 부여가 복식을 새로운 가치를 지닌 영역으로 확대시키는 역할을 할 수 있기를 바란다. 그리고, 더욱 더 다양한 기법과 터킹기법을 접목시킨 복합적인 표현기법을 연구하여 부조적인 질감표현에 있어서 독창적인 조형기법으로 발전하였으면 한다.;In the modem dress and its ornaments which emphasize the development of materials and the creative expression of natural gifts, interest in the quality of materials is increasing and the technique of legitimate handicraft is retranslated and its expression styles are diversified. To emboss the tactual characteristics of materials and express embossed materials by reviewing modeling characteristics, I used the tucking skill which is suitable for the embossed expression of linear composition. Also, to effectively harmonize liberal form and colors with slash and patchwork are combined with tucking. The purpose of this study is to express unique modeling of a fuctional and an ornamental dress and its ornaments by exploring the expression area of materials, gropping the express possibility of embossed materials in modern dress and its ornamental and making the transition of the amount of darts by tucking. The contents and means of this study are as a theoretical background, I collected the dress design which emphasizes embossed materials as referring work, and examined embossed materials in general, and inspected its modeling characteristics. I also studied the definition, historical source of tucking among the skills for emphasizing materials, through literature, and its ornaments by collecting some dress designs applied by tucking. Based on the precedent theoretical studies, I applied slash and patch work with tucking for the embossed expression of materials, and doubled its effect, and produced some works expressing visual effect by the contrast of colors. I[ produced total eight works : Six of two piece suits and two of one piece suits. The results of this study are as follows. First, tucking, as a way of the embossed expression in dress and its ornaments, has the unique effect of expressing materials, and can be used in pursuing unique modeling characteristics combined with other technique. Second, free directions and the linear composition of height in tucking made the modeling character of embossed material effect more affluent. Third, tucking made the transition of the amount of darts in dress silhouette and three-dimensional cutting possible, and functional shape could be made. Fourth, the change of colors by dyeing gives visual pleasure, and the heterogeneity of different materials made the tactual surface effect of tucking stand out. I hope this study will play a role in expanding dress and its ornaments to the area which has new values by providing various materials with different feelings by tucking. Also, I hope unique modeling technique in the embossed expression of materials will be developed by studying complex expression skills adapting more various techniques to tucking.
