3김구도에 나타난 한국가족문화의 특성에 대한 연구

Abstract

Although the Korean society, culture and economy have changed, the "Three-Kims' Kudo - three Kims' structure of grasping political position -" has been maintained for more than fourty years and formed robust organization. This study investigates the characteristics of family culture which appears in the political phenomena of Three-Kims' Kudo. In other words, on the assumption that such phonomena are similar to the characteristics of Korean family culture, this study analyzes the explanations based on the preceding studies including Lee, Kwang-kyu's and Emmanuel Todd's. While there have been plentful preceding studies on the Korean family and the Korean political culture quantatively and qualitatively, it was hard to find out the studies which contemplated the interaction among family culture, social culture and social phenomena. Therfore, in the standpoint of Korean Studies, this study attempts to scrutinize into the Korean political culture whch has been affected by the Korean family culture. This study is consisted of three parts. Firstly, in the Korean modem political history, this study examines why current Korean political system has been greatly affected by the Three-Kims' Kudo from the beginning of their political life to their current political position. Secondly, this study analyzes that the traditional family system which has been the most important factor of the Korean family culture since the middle of the 17th centry, and considers the transition of current Korean family culture from the past. And finaly, this study analyzes the similarity of the traits between the political culture of the Three-Ems' Kudo and the Korean family culture. Through these analyses, it is expected to anticipate how the current Korean political structure represented as the Three-Kims' Kudo will develop in line with the transition of the Korean family structure. In addition to that, it is suggested to develop more interdisciplinary studies in this field to construct theoretical framework based on the Korean Studies.;40여년 이상 한국정치를 주도해 온 3김구도는 한국의 사회·문화·경제적 변화에도 불구하고 여전히 견고한 조직을 형성하여 유지되고 있다. 이 논문은 이러한 3김구도라는 정치현상에서 나타나는 가족문화의 특성에 대해 알아 보고자 시도되었다. 즉 이러한 일련의 현상들이 한국의 가족문화와 유사한 점이 많다는 가정 하에 이광규, Emmanuel Todd 등의 해석에 바탕을 두고 분석하고자 한다. 한국가족에 대한 연구와 한국정치문화에 대한 기존의 연구는 양적·질적으로 풍부하게 이루어져 왔으나, 가족구조가 사회문화 및 사회현상과 어떠한 상호작용을 가지는지에 대한 연구는 거의 찾아보기 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 이 논문은 가족문화가 한국의 정치문화에 미치는 영향력에 대하여 한국학적 입장에서 고찰하려 시도되었다. 한국현대정치사에서 3김씨가 처음으로 등장한 때부터 성장하여 3김구도를 고착화시켜 나간 과정을 살펴 보았다. 그리고 한국 가족문화의 특성을 17세기 중엽이래로 지속된 전통가족제도를 중심으로 살펴보고, 현대에 이르러 이 전통가족이 어떠한 모습으로 변화되고 있는지 고찰해 보았다. 그리고 아울러 이러한 3김구도라는 정치문화가 한국의 가족제도와 어떠한 유사점을 가지는지에 대하여 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 가족구조의 변형과 더불어 3김구도로 대변되는 우리 나라 정치문화가 앞으로 어떠한 형태로 변화, 발전하게 될 것인지 전망하는 것이 가능해 지리라 기대한다. 다만 한국사회를 설명하기 위해 학제 간의 접근을 통한 한국사회의 현실에 맞는 이론의 개발이 선행되어야 할 것이다.
