여성사회교육 프로그램으로서의 컴퓨터교육 개선방안에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 정보사회를 맞이하면서 컴퓨터와 정보통신의 중요성이 점차 강조되고 일반 가정에서의 컴퓨터 활용과 정보서비스 이용이 확산되어가는 현 상황에서 여성들의 정보의식 함양과 컴퓨터활용 능력을 높이기 위한 컴퓨터교육의 개선방안을 모색해 보고자 수행하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 먼저 컴퓨터교육기관 현황을 살펴보고, 사회교육기관의 컴퓨터 교육생 및 일반 여성을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하여 여성의 컴퓨터교육 실태를 분석하였다. 실태분석 결과 조사대상 중 컴퓨터 보유가정이 73.9%였으며 관심분야로는 컴퓨터통신(36.4%)이 1위로 나타났다. 또한 현재 컴퓨터교육 수강자는 43.3%이며, 과거에 교육받은 사람은 최근의 새로운 프로그램을 잘 모르는 것으로 나타나 계속 교육의 필요성을 알 수 있다. 또한, 컴퓨터 교육기간과 실습시간이 비교적 짧은 것으로 평가해 다양한 시간대와 교육과정, 교육기간의 연장 등을 요구하였다. 이러한 연구 결과에 따라 다음과 같은 제안을 할 수 있다. 첫째, 사회교육기관이나 컴퓨터 교육기관에서 여성들에게 정보마인드를 고취시켜 줄 수 있는 정보의식 교육이 실시되어야 한다. 둘째, 여성들의 컴퓨터에 대한 관심이 실제 컴퓨터활용으로 이어질 수 있도록 교육기간, 교육시간, 교육과정의 다양화가 이루어져야 하며, 연령·학력 등에 따른 개인차를 고려한 교육 프로그램이 개발되어야 한다. 셋째, 이미 교육받은 수료자에 대한 철저한 사후관리로 새로운 컴퓨터기술이나 지식에 대한 정보를 제공하고, 새로운 교육과정에 참여할 수 있도록 유도하여 정보습득에 뒤떨어지지 않도록 한다.;The emergence of information age awakens us about the significant role of a computer and new media technology in helping us convey information. The development of communication technology makes possible the supply of various information service to the household which is increasingly using computers to receive information service. Accordingly, the purpose of a thesis is to suggest a desirable computer educational program which will contribute to enhancing women's consciousness about information and to developing their skills in using a computer. A thesis first has investigated the general status of computer educational institutions, and analyzed the degree of women's participation in computer educational programs on the basis of the research results which were obtained from a questionnaire with the women at computer educational institutions and other related organizations. The research result shows that 73.9% of the respondents have a computer and have the the deepest concern about computer communication. It shows that 43.4% of the respondents take courses in computer and continuous education program is necessary for the people who do not know well about the current computer program. It also shows that respondents estimated the education period and the actual training time to be more or less short and they requested that education centers should extend education period, set a flexible time schedule in education1 program. I can suggest the following on the basis of the research results. First, computer educational institutions in the society should educate women about the importance of communication technology. Second, computer educational institutes have to diversify education schedule, the period of education, and programs so that women's interest in computers can be translated into their using a computer. It should be also emphasized that various educational programs should be developed considering age and education. Third, we should supply information about new computer technology to the people who completed an educational program in the past. It is our responsibility to lead women to participate in a new educational course, thereby enhancing their ability in acquiring information using a computer.
