중학생의 변성기 현장 실태 조사 및 변성기 가창 수업안 개발

Abstract

중학교 시기에 겪게 되는 변성기는 인간이 성숙되는 과정의 하나로 사회적으로 격려 받고, 본인 스스로도 기뻐해야 할 일이다. 그러나 가창 수업이 대부분인 현행 학교 음악 수업에서 변성기를 겪고 있는 학생이나 변성기가 지나 성역이 낮아진 학생들에게는 그들 성역에 맞지 않는 노래를 부른다는 것이 여간 어려운 일이 아니다. 그러므로 본 논문은 가창 영역의 효율적인 수업을 위하여 변성기 학생들을 배려한, 그들 수준에 적합한 가창 수업안을 제시하는데 연구의 목적을 가진다. 이론적 배경에서는 기존의 변성기와 관련된 논문들의 내용을 살펴보았고, 문헌 연구를 통해 변성기에 대한 개념, 증상 및 상태와 성역에 대해 알아보았다. 그리고, 서양(주로 미국)에서의 가창 수업 방안과 특히, 변성기 학생들의 가창 지도에 대해 요약·정리하였다. 중학교 학생의 성역 실태 조사에서는 첫째, 본인이 재직하고 있는 중학교 1, 2, 3학년 남녀 학생들을 대상으로 그들이 변성기에 대해 얼마나 알고 있는지, 누구를 통해 또는 어떤 경로로 알게 되었는지, 또 변성기를 겪고 있는 학생들은 얼마나 되는지, 그들의 목소리 상태는 어떠한지 직접 일대일의 면담을 통해 변성기 현장 실태를 조사하였다. 둘째, 중학생의 변성 경과를 좀 더 자세히 살펴보기 위하여 남학생 10명을 무작위로 선출하여 검사하였고, 이를 목소리 카드(검사 날짜, 키, 몸무게, 신체적 특성, 말하는 목소리, 생리적 성역, 음악적 성역, 목소리 분류, 목소리 상태에 대한 논평등을 포함)에 기록하였다. 셋째, 변성기 현장 실태 조사에서 나타난 중학교 1, 2, 3학년 학생의 성역을 교과서의 음역과 비교해 보기 위해 제6차 교육과정 개정에 따른 중학교 8종 음악 교과서의 필수 악곡과 선택곡의 음역을 조사하였다. 마지막으로 문헌 연구와 중학교 학생의 변성기 현장 실태 조사를 바탕으로 변성기 학생들을 배려한, 그들 수준에 적합한 가창 학습 지도안을 개발하였다. 이 수업 지도안은 변성기를 가장 많이 겪고 있는 2학년 학생들을 대상으로 음악 교과서의 필수 악곡중 이들의 성역, 정서, 호흡에 무리가 없는 현제명의 '그집앞', 독일 민요 '로렐라이', 경상도 민요 '옹헤야'를 선정하여 연구하였다. 중학교 음악 교사는 변성기를 겪게 되는 이 시기의 학생들에게 끊임없는 관심과 배려, 주의를 기울여야 한다. 학생들이 음악에 대한 흥미와 적극적인 태도를 가질 수 있도록 교사는 새로운 수업 방안을 부단히 모색해야 한다. 본 연구를 진행하는 과정에서 변성기 현장 실태 조사가 연주자의 재직 중학교에 한정되었음을 밝혀 두며, 본 연구의 시도가 음악 교육의 현장에서 교사나 학생들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다. 아울러 변성기 학생들을 위한 가창 학습 지도안과 이들을 위한 새로운 프로그램이 많이 개발되고 연구되기를 기대해 본다.;One's voice change, usually occuring in times of middle school, are one of human maturing process and it should be socially encouraged and glad for a person who experiences himself. However, it is very difficult for students experiencing their voice changes to sing in music class most of which is vocalism. Therefore, this thesis has a purpose to suggest a vocal teaching model suitable fur the level of the students in their voice change. I examined some thesises related to voice changes as a theoretical background, and also studied on the concept, symptom, normal state, and register of one's voice changes. And I summarized plans for a vocal music class in the West(especially, America), and vocal instruction for the students having their voice changes. In a survey on middle school students' range of voice, 1 first investigated how much they know about voice changes, how they know about them, how many students are suffering from them, and how their voice state is, with students in their first, second, and third grade in the school where I teach as the subject, through person to person interviews. Second, I examined ten male students randomely to have a closer look at the process of middle school students' voice changes, and recorded it in a voice card(including date of test, height, weight, physicai appearance, speaking voice, full range, comfortable range, voice classification, and remarks). Third, to compare the voice range of middle school students m their first, second, and third grade examined in the survey with register in the textbook, I examined compulsory songs and optional ones in eight kinds of music textbooks following the sixth educational reformation. Finally, I developed a teaching plan for vocal music class considering the students in their voice changes, based on the survey on the present situation of middle school students' voice changes, and literature study. This plan chose and studied some songs of a compulsory course in the textbook which facilitate students' vocal range, emotion, and breathing, such as 'Kugibap' by Hyun, Je Myoung, German folk song 'Lorelei bill', Kyoung Sang Province's folk sang 'Onghaeya'. Music teachers in middle schools should give students in their voice changes continuous care and consideration. Also, teachers should keep groping for new class plans so that students can have interest in music and a positive attitude. The survey on the present situation of voice changes for this study was limited to the middle school where I teach, and I hope this study wili be helpful to music teachers or students. Also, 1 expect that many teaching plans fur music class and new programs for students will be developed.
