폴리우레탄(polyurethane)계 스폰지(sponge)염색의 조형성 연구

Abstract

20세기에 들어 산업 사회 발달에 의한 물질문명의 발전과 1,2차 세계대전을 거치면서 몰 가치화와 자유 추구 등의 사회변화는 많은 분야에 커다란 변화를 동반하였다. 이러한 변화와 다양성의 흐름 속에서 현대미술도 탈 쟝르화 및 복합 다원화의 특징을 나타내게 되었고 여러 새로운 재료를 미술의 재료로 적용하였다. 또한 현대 미술의 이러한 변화 속에서 입체파를 기원으로 하여 반 예술 운동인 다다 등을 거쳐 아쌍블라쥬가 나타났다. 1953년부터 본격적으로 나타난 아쌍블라쥬는 반복되는 단편들의 집합적이고 배열된 모습에 의한 이미지를 주 표현양식으로 하며 비 미술적 재료도 소재로 도입하여 다양하게 유대를 이룰 수 있도록 작품을 표현한 3차원 집합 예술이라 할 수 있다. 현대 섬유 예술사에서 꼴라쥬의 발전된 형식인 아쌍블라쥬는 조형적인 표현을 위주로 하는 현대 섬유 예술에 많은 영향을 주었다. 본 연구에서는 염색의 조형 표현성에 있어서 아쌍블라쥬에 나타나는 반복된 이미지 등을 나타내고 조형적 표현소재로써 현대사회의 산물인 합성섬유 중 독특한 탄성과 가변성으로 여러 조형적 표현에 적합한 소재인 폴리우레탄계 스폰지를 선택하여 연구 하고자 한다. 염색하여 홀친 폴리우레탄계 스폰지를 압축하여 말은 뒤 절단면들을 연결시켜 이러한 절단면들을 조형의 기본 요소인 점으로, 선으로, 면으로 나타내고, 3차원적 입체 조형물로 나타내고자 한다. 또한 폴리우레탄계 스폰지의 염색성을 연구하여 염색소재로써 가능성을 알아보고 폴리우레탄계 스폰지가 가지고 있는 특성을 극대화시키는 기법을 연구하고자 한다. 본 연구자는 복합성과 다원화를 특징으로 하는 현대 섬유 예술 흐름 속에서 염색의 조형적 표현을 위해 아쌍블라쥬를 바탕으로 폴리우레탄계 스폰지를 염색 소재로 도입하고 조형적 공간 표현성을 연구함으로써 현대 섬유 예술 분야의 다양화 및 소재 영역 확대에 조금이나마 기여하고자 한다.;Since the beginning of 20C, the development of material civilization in consequence of industrial development and a social phenomenon of lacking the values, pursuing a freedom, and so on, has gone with a huge change in many areas. In the trends of this change and variety, modern art showed the characteristics of escaping from genre, mixed variety applied many new materials to art. Also, in this stream of changing of modem art, the appearance of assemblage had an important effect on modern fiber art. In this study, for studying of dyeing formative characteristics, a polyurethane Sponge is selected by dyeing material and repeated images of assemblage were shaped. Three-dimensional formative things were studied with cutting slices, which were made by compression, rolling up, and cutting with polyurethane Sponge. The method of passing thread through cutting slices with a needle was shown a possibility of variety formative expression from a plane to a cubic (three-dimensional thing). And for future days, more systematic studying of polyurethane Sponge dyeing characteristics and changing color of polyurethane Sponge by air and ultraviolet rays have to be done.
