민화(民畵)이미지에 의한 넥타이 패턴 디자인 연구

Abstract

1980-90 년대에는 호황의 시대로 물건의 양으로 승부하느라 편중된 상품의 과잉공급으로 소비자들의 구매의욕을 더욱 저하시키고 있다. 그러므로 21세기에는 나만의 넥타이, 나만의 스카프등 대량복제품이 아니라 창의성을 지닌 차별화된 제품을 선호하는 시대라고 할 수 있다. 오늘날 남성 정장의 경우 성공적인 옷차림의 마무리의 표현 방법의 핵심은 넥타이에 있다고 하겠다. 넥타이는 남성복의 대표적인 소품으로 남성의 멋을 개성 있게 표현해 주는 특징을 지닌 제품으로서 지루한 색상의 양복에 넥타이 패턴을 강조함으로써 현대에 개성 등을 의미하는 상징적인 가치를 지닌다. 본 논문은 이러한 넥타이 디자인에 있어서 우리의 민화를 98/99 S/S F/W Color Trend의 색상에 접목시켜 보았고, 민화의 오래된 종이의 느낌을 가진 수직실크에 수공예 중 염색의 표현에 있어서 가장 자유로운 납방염을 이용한 수공예 넥타이를 제작함으로써 고부가가치 창출에 기여하고자 하였고 그 과정에서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 일본인 미술학자인 유종열에 의해 재평가 되고, 「민예」지에서는 "불가사의 한 조선민화"라고 극찬한 삼국시대부터 궁전, 사찰, 민가, 분묘, 가구, 의류에까지 그려진 민화는 그 종류와 표현 방법에서 다양하고 풍부하며 현대의 넥타이 패턴에 적용하기에도 적합하다고 느꼈다. 둘째, 민화 중에서 용(龍) 문양(紋樣)은 삼국시대 이래로 한국인의 정신세계와 삶에 대한 영향을 끼쳤으며, 신적 위력을 지닌 신령적인 짐승으로서, 정치적 권력의 상징과 민족 신앙의 대상으로 그 형태가 시대에 따라 다양하게 만들어지고 변화하였다. 본인은 남성용 넥타이 패턴 디자인을 제작함에 있어서 정치적 권력의 상징인 용(龍) 문양(紋樣)은 특히 남성용으로써 가장 적합했다. 셋째, 용(龍) 문양(紋樣)의 비늘 표현이나 수염, 발톱 등의 묘사를 위해서 납방염이 가장 효과적 이었고,발색 효과와 염착상태가 가장 좋았다. 넷째, 이러한 민화의 패턴 디자인화는 우리 생활 속에 전통문화를 친근하게 느낄 수 있도록 넥타이뿐만 아니라 스카프, 손수건, 가방 또는 독특한 제품에 응용할 수 있는 항목들이 주위에 많이 있다. 본 연구자는 최근 디자이너의 일을 효율적으로 만들고, 대량 생산이 가능한 컴퓨터 그래픽을 활용하여 실크에 납방염으로 그린 원화를 스캐너로 입력하여 여러 모양과 합성하여 다양하게 패턴화 시켜 보았고, Color Way와 양복에 착용했을 때 모습을 컴퓨터를 통해 사진과 합성 시켜, 효과를 미리 예상해 볼 수 있었다. 현대 남성들은 갈수록 유행하는 색상에 민감해져서, 다양한 색상의 와이셔츠를 착용하고 싶어하고 그에 따르는 넥타이 색상과 패턴 디자인에도 관심이 많다. 이에 본 연구자는 예술적이고 실용적인 수공예 넥타이를 제작함으로써 소비자의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 색상과 패턴 디자인 개발에 밑거름이 되고자 한다.;The excessive supply of overemphasized goods had reduced the purchase desire of consumers because people have tried conclusions from the quantity of the goods rather than quality in the prosperous day of 1980's~199O's. And the 21st century can be said to be a period in which some distinctive goods with creativity quite different from massedly copied products shall be preferred. Today, the expressing point of the finishing of successful men's clothes is the necktie. A necktie, the representative small piece of men's clothes which has the feature expressing men's noble characteristics, hold a symbolic value with the meaning of men's modem personality by emphasizing the pattern of necktie on the dull colors of men's clothes. This thesis tried to graft the designs in our folkpaintings onto the color trend of '98/99, S/S, F/W for the necktie pattern design, and handy crafted neckties especially using the most free wax resist dyeing method among the dyeing expressions for the handwoven silk feeling like papers were made in order to create high added value, and the following conditions can be achieved in the process. First, the folk paintings which were drawn on palaces, temples, common houses, tombs, furniture, and clothes from the three Kingdom Period and revaluated by You, Jong Yeol, the Japanese artist and highly praised as "the mysterious Korean folk paintings" in the magazine, "the Folk Craft" are various and fertile in its kinds and expression methods and are felt to be applicable to be applied for modern necktie patterns. Second, the dragon design in the folk paintings has influenced the spiritual world and life of Korean people since the Three Kingdom period, it was thought to be a spiritual animal, and its style has been made and changed into various types. In my manufacturing men's necktie pattern design, the symbol of political power was thought to be the most appropriate one especially for men. Third, for the expression of fin surface, whiskers, and toenails of the dragon designs, wax resist dyeing was most effective in the coloring effectiveness and application condition. Fourth, this kind of pattern designs from folk paintings can be applied not only to neckties but also scarfs, handkerchiefs, bags, and other various kinds of unique products for us to feel the friendliness of traditional culture. I have made the work of designer effective and have produced various patterned designs synthesized with other unique designs by using computer graphics possible to produce in large scale and I can forecast the effectiveness from the synthesized pictures of the color way and the prospective figures of wearing with clothes. Modem men would like to wear various colored neckties and have much interest in the colors and pattern designs of neckties. Hence, I would like to contribute myself to the development of colors and pattern designs satisfactory to customers by producing artistic and practical neckties.
