어린이를 위한 포토 일러스트레이션 연구

Abstract

어린이들은 각자 나름대로 순수하고 완벽한 아름다움을 지닌 인격체이다. 우리 어른들이 마음을 열고, 조금의 여유를 가지고 그들을 대한다면 숲 속에서 소곤대거나, 꽃잎 속에서 숨어서 잠이 들거나, 짓궂은 장난을 치는 사랑스럽고. 우스꽝스러운 작은 꼬마 요정들을 만날 수 있는 신비로움과 경이로움을 경험할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 작은 꼬마 요정들이 등장하는 어린이들의 상상의 세계를 표현하기 위하여 사진과 컴퓨터를 접목시켜 현실적으로 만들기 어려운 이미지를 표현함은 물론, 소 스튜디오 시스템에서도 실현이 가능한 다양한 이미지 제작의 가능성을 모색하였다. 배경이 중시되는 어린이 사진에 있어서 여러 가지 배경을 설치한 무대들을 모두 마련한다는 것은 보통 스튜디오의 한정된 공간에서 많은 제약이 있으며, 수익성에 부합되지 않는 특수한 공간 구성은 수용하기 어렵다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방법의 근간으로서 컴퓨터를 이용한 이미지 정보 처리와 보관의 방법이 광범하게 사용되었다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위한 구체적인 방법으로써, 인물 및 배경과 소품을 별개의 이미지로 완성하여 다수의 컴퓨터 이미지 데이터로 저장하고, 이로부터 실존하지 않거나 현실적으로 구현이 어려운 동화적인 이미지를 완성하여 내었다. 작품 상황을 설정하는 요소로서 인물과 배경의 촬영 조건, 이미지의 표현성, 작품 제작의 경제성, 이미지 데이터의 영속성을 고려하였다. 주제와 배경의 조명 조건 및 물리적 비율이 극히 다르고, 소품이나 배경이 너무 무겁거나 지나친 공간을 차지할 경우 등의 경우에 컴퓨터를 이용하여 인물과 배경의 확대와 축소, 이미지의 합성 및 교환을 행하였다. 컴퓨터 합성시 인위적 효과를 최대한 억제하고, 현실과 최대로 근접한 이미지를 얻도록 기초 이미지 제작시 광량의 세기. 조명 방향, 카메라와 피사체의 각도 등을 적절히 조정하였다.;In child photography; setting up various kinds of background stages in a studio involves problems due to the space limitation. In this study the background scenes are taken separately, and then stored as computer image data to be processed and manipulated for final image generation. Thus, the space and economic limitations inherent in the small studio system could be effectively overcome, and the idealistic image could be realized utilizing the computer image data. The children's portraits and various kinds of background with supportive decorations have been completed as separate images and then stored in the computer. From these, the idealistic fairy tale images which are not existent or difficult to be realized have been accomplished. The parameters to determine the art work situations are photographing condition, image expression, and economy. When there are big differences in the illuminations and physical sizes of the major images and background, or the background settings are inappropriately heavy and bulky, the computer has been extensively used for image magnification and reduction, image composition and replacement. The outright artificial effects have been suppressed, and the illumination, the camera to object angles, etc.. have been optimally adjusted in order to produce the most realistic images.
