학교도서관 매체센터의 협동교수 프로그램 모형개발 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to develop a cooperative program planning and teaching for a school library media center with a view to

improving the learning effects and stimulating the learning interest of the elementary school students for supporting curriculum. For this study, literature survey, interviews and textbook contents analysis were used as the research methods. The literature survey

was focused to research the basic elements in the development of a cooperative program planning and teaching, such as the roles of

school library media specialists, teachers, principals, students, the type of teaching and learning, and supporting curriculum services

in the school library media center. In order to grasp the practical contents of cooperative program planning and teaching development, interviews with teachers who are

taking charge of sixth grade for one semester have been conducted on a regular basis. Also, in-depth analysis has been made for

thirteen textbooks(moral, speaking, listening, writing, reading, mathematics, mathematics exercise book, social science, science,

experiment and observation, music, art, physical education, vocational studies and so forth) of the sixth grade students in elementary

school. Through the analysis of textbook contents based on subject goals and learning contents, a program was developed with the selection

of proper time and order under the standard of learning goals set by the Ministry of Education. The analysis of textbook contents and program development is varied in quantity, because of the difference in class for each subject

per week. The program is designed on the basis of a forty-minute class, and various instruments such as the print, image and

audio-visual media are used. Cooperative program planning and teaching has three goals; first, to improve learning ability by stimulating students' interest for learning

second, to bring the transition of teachers and principals' fundamental thoughts on the school library media center; and third, to

emphasize the necessity of absolute support from school library media specialist in teaching and learning. Cooperative program planning and teaching consist of programs of fourteen types; mimd map program, simulation game program, mock

interview program, mock trial program, literature study program, case study program, data research program, newspaper in education

program, role play program, character exploration program, map and chronicle use program, discussion and debate program, sample

study program and on-the-spot experience program. Additional explanation is provided for programs requiring detailed descriptions.;본 연구의 목적은 학교도서관이 교과과정과 연계하여 일반교사와 학생들에게 효율적인 敎授및 學習을 지원하고 심화시키며, 학생들의 교과학습 흥

미를 자극할 수 있는 다양한 매체를 활용하여 학습효과 향상에 도움을 주는 협동교수 프로그램을 개발하는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 본 연구에서는 문헌연구, 면담조사, 내용분석의 방법을 사용 하였다. 문헌연구에서는 협동교수 프로그램을 개발하고 시행하는

데 있어서 기본요소가 되는 사서교사, 일반교사, 학교장과 학생의 역할을 고찰하고, 교수 및 학습의 유형을 살펴보았다. 그리고 6학년 담임교사와 1

학기 동안 정기적인 면담을 통하여 협동교수 프로그램 개발시 고려해야 할 구체적이고 실질적인 내용을 협의하였다. 내용분석에서는 교육부가 발행한 국정교과서인 초등학교 6학년 1학기 교과서 도덕, 말하기 ·듣기 ·쓰기, 읽기, 수학, 수학익힘책, 사회, 사회과 탐구,

자연, 실험관찰, 음악, 미술, 체육, 실과 등의 13권의 교과서와 교사용 지도서 9권을 분석하였다. 그리고 1997학년도부터 정규 과목이 된 영어 교과서와 교과내용 구성상 스스로 학습이 가능한 생활의 길잡이 교과서는 분석에서 제외하였다. 내용

분석은 각 교과의 목표와 학습내용에 근거를 두고, 次時마다 교육부에서 제시하고 있는 학습목표를 기준으로 하여 적합한 차시를 선별하고 프로그

램을 개발하였다. 각 교과마다 편성된 주당 수업시수가 다르기 때문에 교과서 분석과 프로그램 개발에 있어서 양적인 차이가 있고, 1단위 시간이 40분임을 고려하여

프로그램을 구성하였으며, 인쇄매체, 영상매체, 각종 시청각매체 등을 다양하게 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 프로그램은, 첫째, 학생들의 학습흥미를 자극하여 학습능력을 향상하게 하고, 둘째, 일반교사나 학교장의 학교도서관에 대한 근

본적인 생각의 전환을 가져오게 하며, 셋째, 교수 및 학습에 있어서 사서교사의 절대적인 지원이 필요하다는 세가지 목적을 가진다. 본 연구에서 적용한 프로그램 유형으로는 마인드맵 프로그램, 모의놀이 프로그램, 모의인터뷰 프로그램, 모의재판 프로그램, 문헌조사 프로그램, 사

례조사 프로그램, 사료조사 프로그램, 신문활용 프로그램, 역할극 프로그램, 인물탐구 프로그램, 지도 및 연표활용 프로그램, 토의 및 토론 프로그램,

표본조사 프로그램, 현장체험 프로그램 등이 있고, 상세한 설명이 필요한 프로그램을 별도로 설명하였다. 초등학교의 각 교과는 그 내용과 특성이 서로 다르기 때문에 교과의 성격에 따라서 적용되는 프로그램이 다름을 연구결과 알 수 있었다. 즉, 도덕과

는 역할극 프로그램을, 국어, 수학, 자연, 음악, 체육과는 놀이를 통하여 학습효과의 극대화를 꾀하는 모의놀이 프로그램을 많이 사용하였고, 사회과

는 모의인터뷰 프로그램을 비롯하여 거의 모든 프로그램이 다양하게 적용되었으며, 미술과는 작업을 하기 전에 기본 기법을 익히는 방법으로 문헌

조사 프로그램을 많이 사용하였다. 그리고 실과과목은 실습이 위주인 교과이므로 실습이 이루어지기 전에 여러 프로그램을 사용하여 사전지식을 습

득하는 특징을 나타내었다. 본 연구는 학생들의 교과학습 흥미를 자극할 수 있는 다양한 매체를 활용하여 높은 교육 효율성을 가지는 협동교수 프로그램 개발의 방향과 내용을

구체적으로 제시하였고, 학교도서관 매체센터를 통한 협동교수 프로그램 개발의 기틀을 마련하는데 도움이 되고자 하였다.
