성역할 사회화 교육에 관한 연구

Abstract

사회가 발전함에 따라 교육의 기회는 거의 모든 사람에게 균등하게 실시되고 있다. 1945년 양성평등을 지향하는 민주교육이 실시된 이래 현재까지 양적인 교육수준은 계속적인 향상을 보이고 있으나, 실제적인 교육내용에 있어서는 남,녀간에 불평등한 교육이 공식적,잠재적 교육과정을 통하여 시행되고있다. 본고는 한국사회에 만연되어 있는 성고정관념이나 성편견을 수정하고 올바른 남,녀 역할관을 정립하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 본 조사는 서울시내 3개 여자 중학교와 3개 남녀공학 중학교 여학생과 그리고 그의 교사들을 연구대상으로 실시하였다. 설문문항은 기존문헌에 의해 표준화된 척도를 다소 수정,보완한 설문지를 검사도구로 활용하였다. 통계처리는 대상별로 분류하여 각 분야별,빈도,백분율,평균,표준편차를 구한 뒤 이들의 유의도를 알아보기 위하여 피어슨 (Pearson)상관관계를 알아보았다. 본 논문에서 논의하고자 하는 과제들은 다음과 같다. 1.서울시 여자 중학교,남녀공학 중학교에 종사하고 있는 교사들의 성역할 의식은 어떠한가? 2.교사의 인적 배경요인(성별,연령,결혼여부,담당과목,교직경력,종교,출신지,성장시 생활경제적 여유정도 등)은 교사의 성역할 의식과 어떠한 관계가 있는가? 3.서울시 여자 중학교,남녀공학 중학교에 종사하는 교사들의 성역할의식에 있어서 어떠한 차이가 있는가? 4.서울시 여자중학교,남녀공학 중학교에 다니는 청소년기 여학생들의 성역할 의식은 어떠한가? 5.남녀공학 중학교와 여자중학교에 다니는 여학생간의 성역할 의식에 있어 어떠한 차이가 있는가? 6.교사의 배경요인은 여학생의 성역할 의식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 7.교사의 성역할 의식은 여학생의 성역할 의식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 이상의 연구문제에 의거하여 얻은 걸과를 기초로하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻게 되었다. 1.서울시 남녀공학 중학교,여자 중학교에 종사하는 교사들은 여학생들에 비해 아직도 전통적인 성역할 의식을 소유하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 2.서울시 남녀공학 중학교,여자 중학교에 종사하는 교사들의 성역할의식에 있어서,여학교에 종사하고 있는 교사들의 성역할 의식이 남녀공학 중학교에 종사하고 있는 교사들보다 진보적으로 나타났고 교사와 학생간의 성역할 의식은 상호 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 3.교사들의 성역할 의식은 사회학적인 배경요인에 의해 영향을 받는데 동일한 배경을 가진 성별,연령,담당과목,교직경력등과 교사의 성역할 의식은 상호 연관성이 있었다. 4.서울시 청소년기 여학생들은 교사의 의식과 비교해 볼 때 진보적인 성역할 의식을 지니고 있다. 5.서울시 남녀공학 중학교,여자 중학교에 다니는 청소년기 여자 중학생의 성역할 의식에 있어서,여자 중학교에 다니는 여학생들의 성역할 의식이 남녀공학에 다니는 여학생보다 훨씬 진보적으로 나타났다. 6.교사의 성역할 의식은 여학생의 성고정관념,가정역할,직업역할 및 사회적 가치관의 변화의식등 모두에 강력한 영향을 미치고 있다. 7.학생의 성역할 의식은 교사의 성별,연령,담당과목,교직경력등에 따르는 성역할 의식은 집단간 유사한 특징을 보이고 있다.;The object of this study is to examine the sex role attitude of the teachers and female students in Seoul in order to clarify whether or not teachers' sex role attitudes have influenced on their student's value and the sociodemographic variables of the teachers have effect on their students' sex role attitude. The study is to examine the following questions. 1.What was the tendency of the teacher's sex role attitudes in Seoul? 2.What influence have the teacher's sex,age,class-suject,teaching-experience,region, ,birth places, life style leisure time on the teachers' own sex role attitude? 3.What was the tendency of the adolescent students' sex role attitude in female or coeducational schools? 4.Did the teacher's sex role attitude have influence on the student's? 5.What influence have the teacher's sex,age,class-suject,teaching-experience,region,,birth places,life style leisure time on the student's sex role attitude? 6.What are the differences sex role attitude between female or coeducational school students? 7.What are the differences sex role attitudes between female school teachers and a coeducational school teachers? In this study, the questionares were given to some randomly selected teachers and students in Seoul,March, 1991.The resulting datd from a total of the 475 respondents were analyzed by the peraentage, mean, standard deviation. As a result, the following points have been achieved. 1.Generally, the teachers in the Seoul area maintains traditional sex role attitudes. One the other hand, they have shown the most modern attitude in the category job role they appear more traditional sex role stereotypes an-d social change consciousness. 2.The teachers' sex role attitude is influenced by personal or sociological variables including region, birth place, life style leisure time. 3.The adolescent student in Seoul had moderner sex role attitude than that of their teachers. They maintain the most modern sex role attitude in job role category but they appear traditional in the field of change and consciousness. 4. Teachers' sex role attitude have influence on the students', That is, the students' sex role attitude has formed by assimilating the teachers' who maintain a traditional sex role attitude. 5.The students' sex role attitude is influenced by the teachers' so-cidernographic variables. Teacher's sex class subject, teaching experience have greatly influenced on the students' sex role attitude. 6.The students' sex role attitude in female school are moderner in sex role attitude than that of the students in coeducational schools. 7.The teachers' sex role attitude in female schools are more moderner in sex role attitude than that of the teacher in coeducational schools.
