J. Brahms의 "Lieder und Gesa¨nge" op.57에 대한 분석 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 Bralms가 1871년, Vienna에서 Daumer시에 의해 쓰여진 op.57 “Lieder und Gesa¨nge”에 관한 연구이다. 전통적인 독일예술가곡(kunstlied)을 쓴 Bralms는 1851 년부터 1896년 사이에 260여곡을 작곡하였다. 특히, op.57 “Lieder und Gesange” 독일 염세주의 시인 Daumer와 친교가 있었던 시기에 작곡된 54곡들중 연속적으로 쓰여진 8곡이며, 그의 특징이 잘 나타나 있다. Daumer시에 의한 가곡 연구에 대한 이론적 배경을 위해서 Brahams의 가곡에 나타난 일반적인 특징을 여러 문헌이나, 작품을 통해서 연구 하였으며, 선정된 op.57 “Lieder und Gesa¨nge”의 8곡에 나타난 음악과 시의 조화, 형식, 박자와 리듬기법, 선율, 화성, 조성 피아노반주, 악상 사용등을 살펴 보았다. 선정된 8곡의 분석을 통하여 살펴 본 결과는 다음과 같다. 극의 형식은 모두 통절가곡 형식이고, 구조는 계획적인 짜임새를 갖고 있다. 성악 선율구는 대체로 단순하여, 민요풍을 느끼게 불규칙한 선율구를 사용하며, 다소 호흡하기에 길다. 리듬형의 사용도 당김음(syncopation), 크로스 리듬(Cross rhy-thm)등을 자주 사용하고, 헤미올라 효과(hemiola effect)등 다양한 리듬의 반복과 변화를 볼 수 있다. 화성은 전통적이고 단순한 진행을 이루다가 변화음과 감7, 감9화음등의 후기낭만파적인 색채짙은 화성을 잘 조화시키고 있다. 이에 조성도 잦은 전조감을 일으킨다. 피아노 반주부는 성악 선율을 중복하여 주거나 부차적인 역할을 하여 짧은 전주, 간주 후주를 갖는다. Brahms는 이 op.57 “Lieder und Gesa¨nge”를 통하여 후기낭만의 흐름에서 신고전주의 음악을 추구했고, 또한 예술가곡의 전통을 계승하면서, 자신의 신념과 서정성을 잘 보여 주고 있다.;This thesis is a study of Brahms's "Lieder und Gesange" von G.F. Daumer op.57 in vienna at 1871. J.Brahms who wrote traditional kustlied composed about 260 songs from 1851 to 1896. Among his works, especially "Lieder und Gesange" op.57 is composed of song-cycle. This song-cycle dealing with meditation ort the theme of unhuppy love, in eight poems which their ardently sensuous character and tone render suitable for the family cycle. Daumer(1800-75) was a farourite peot of Brahms's, who set to music fifty-foul" in all of his original peoms and whose name we look for in vain in the current histories of literature. To understand the theoretical background of this study, the general characteristics of Brahms's Lieder-rhythm, melodic feature harmony tonality, piano accompaniment, dynamics-are summerized from this work, op.57. Through the analysis of the 8 songs, the result is as follows. 1. Each from of the songs in through-composed form. 2. Vocal lines are generally so simple, that folk songs are felt, and phrases of irregular length are in common use. 3. In the rhythm, syncopation or cross rhythm and hemiola rhythm used. 4. In the harmony, he made sure of the feeling of formality by using pedal point. The continous modulations are led by using nonharmonic tones, the seventh and the mineth chords. 5. Prelude, interlude and postlude in the piano accompaniment serve as unifying elements of the songs. J. Brahms pursued new classicism in the Period of romaticism through "Lieder und Gesange" op.57 and succeeded to the tradition of kustlied, so he could present his own individual lyricism.
