시집표지 디자인의 사진적 표현에 관한 연구

Abstract

A rapidly changing socity makes people have various changes in their lives. The area of human creation, literary works have similar trends. Among them, modern poems are meeting with reder's needs, or a lot of characteristic poems are appearing with poet's own will. In addition, the face of a book, the cover, has been developing with specialty and indivisuality. However, it still has uniformed or commercial factors when viewed visually. Accordingly, this study has an attempt to produce the collection of poems of Good Design by using photos which can be expressed popularty, and variously in their design. Fist of all, I examined the theoretilal environment of cover designs, and tried to approach and analyze 12 representative poems of 12 anthologies. Also, in visualizing the poetic words, I designed and photographed affter appreciating the poems. To make one piece of work with each photographed image, the synthesis process of photos was carried out in a photoshop. Also, the completion of the cover was elevated by adding design factors. Through producing the cover of a collection of poems with photos, the mdeia of photos can express visual images most effectively, and 1 stuied on the relation between poems and photos in their expression areas.;빠르게 변화하는 현대사회의 모습은 인간생활에 있어서도 다양한 변화를 갖게 한다. 그 중 인간의 창작영역인 문학작품 역시 이런 경향이 보여지고 있다. 문학장르중 현대시도 다양한 독자들의 요구에 맞게, 혹은 작가자신의 의지로 여러가지 개성있는 작품들이 등장하고 있다. 이와 더불어 책의 얼굴이라고 할 수 있는 책표지도 개성있고 전문성을 가진 형태로 많은 발전을 이루었다. 그러나, 표지는 아직도 시각적 측면에서 볼 때 획일적 또는 상업주의적 요소가 많았다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 대중적이며, 디자인에도 다양하게 표현 할 수 있는 사진을 이용하여 굿 디자인(Good Design)의 시집 표지제작을 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 책표지 디자인의 이론적 배경을 살펴보고 12권의 시집에서 각 작가의 대표적인 12편의 시를 선정, 문학적 해석과 접근을 시도하였다. 더불어 시어를 시각적으로 형상화 하는데 있어서 시를 감상한 후 간단한 스케치 형태로 구상, 촬영하였다. 촬영된 각각의 이미지를 의도한 하나의 작품으로 만들기 위해 Photoshop에서 각종효과를 주어 사진합성 과정을 거쳤다. 또한 여기에 디자인적인 요소를 가미시켜 시집표지로서의 완성도를 높였다. 이처럼 시집표지를 사진으로 제작하는 작업을 통해 사진이라는 매체가 시각적이미지를 가장 효과적으로 표현할 수 있다는 점과 시와 사진의 관계에 대한 표현영역의 연결성에 대해서도 연구하였다.
