나무를 중심으로 한 자연의 이미지 표현

Abstract

Human beings who are leading a life as a part of nature in the harmonious and profound law of nature have found the beauty in the nature and have expressed the beauty which they experienced. The nature becomes the object of formative creation activity, and is being created to the new form by the individual moulding view of artist. New material and technique are being developed and the expression modes them tend to be various in the field of batik craft also, meeting the tenency of this modern fine art. Thus, this researcher aims at groping for the possibility of making into the form of image of nature by expressing the feeling which profound form of nature gives in my own way, with the batik work. As for the theoretical background for this, the methods of observation, expression and transformation etc of nature are examined in the relation between nature and art, and between human beings and nature, and subject matter, material, method and mode of expression through work manufacture are researched, and on the basis of this research, following conclusion was formed. First, nature is possessing the infinite factor as the subject matter of formative ceration activity of human being, and it was being transformed and expressed differently according to the subjective viewpoint of the artist. Second, the intention that the nature was expressed by making the tree as the theme in the nature especially was the proper subject matter in the formative formation side of the image. Third, the possibility of expression peculiar to the batik craft could be known, by the feaures of dyes, pigment and fiber, and by the use of the rest materials, in the process of work manufactrure. As the expression of tree was made with the techniqe of silk screen, there was difficulty in trying to express the silk screen and batik harmoniously. But, it is considered that to try to grope for the possibility of new material and new experssion technique steadily with the continuous experiment, the possibility of better batik craft will be albe to be found.;자연의 조화롭고 오묘한 법칙속에서 자연의 일부로서 살아가는 인간은 자연속에서 미를 발견하고 체험한 미를 표현해 왔다. 자연은 인간의 조형적_창작활동의 대상이 되고 작가의 개성적인 조형관에 의해 새로운 형태로 창조되고 있다. 이런 현대미술의 추세에 맞추어 염색공예 분야에서도 새로운 재료와 기법이 개발되고 그의 표현양식도 다양해지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구자는 자연의 다양한 모습에서 받은 느낌을 염색작품으로 표현함으로서 자연의 이미지 형상화 가능성을 모색하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 이를 위한 이론적 배경에서는 자연과 인간, 자연과 예술과의 관계에서 자연의 표현을 알아보고 작품제작을 통해 표현소재 재료와 방법, 표현기법을 연구하며 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 결론을 얻게 되었다. 첫째, 자연은 인간의 조형적 창작활동의 소재로서 무한한 요소를 지니고 있으며, 작가의 주관적인 시각에 따라 다르게 변형되어 표현되고 있었다. 둘째, 자연속에서도 특히 나무를 소재로 자연을 표현한 의도는 그 이미지의 조형적 형성면에서 적절했다. 세째, 작품제작 과정에서 염료 및 안료와 섬유의 특성과 스크린프린팅 기법을 알아 보았는데, 특히 스크린프린팅 기법과 납방염 기법을 조화롭게 표현하는 가운에 염색공예의 다양한 표현 가능성을 알 수 있었다. 앞으로 새로운 재료와 표현기법을 계속되는 실험으로 꾸준히 모색해 본다면 보다 나은 염색공예의 가능성을 발견하리라 생각된다.
