S.V.Rachmaninoff의Piano Concerto d단조 Op.30 No.3에 관한 분석연구

Abstract

SergeiVassilievitch, Rachmaninoff(1873∼1943)는 20 세기초에 활동한 러시아의 피아니스트겸 작곡가로서 그의 음악은 20세기의 급진적인 음악조류에 영향을 받지않고 19세기말 낭만주의적 음악 양식을 고수하고 있다. Rachmaninoff가 작곡한 4개의 피아노 협주곡은 러시아 민속선율 요소를 포함한 매우 서정적인 주제와 기교적인 피아노 그리고 잘 조화된 피아노와 관현악의 편성으로 되어있다. 이 논문의 연구 목적은 Rachmaninoff의 피아노 협주곡 d단조 Op30. No.3의 분석 연구를 통하여 그의 음악적 특징 및 작곡기법을 이해하려 함이다. 이를 위한 방법으로 우선 그의 피아노 음악의 일반적인 특징을 고찰하였으며 그후에 본곡을 분석하였다. 피아노 협주곡 Op.30은 고전피아노 협주곡과 같이 3악장 형식으로 되어 있으며 제1악장은 자유로운 소나타 형식으로 확대된 Cadenza를 포함하고 있으며, 제2악장은 3부형식, 제3악장은 소나타형식으로 되어있다. 이 곡의 선율은 러시아 민속적 선율요소인 5도 음정내에서 이루어져 있으며 매우 서정적이다. 특히 제1악장의 제1주제와 제2주제 그리고 도입부의 음형은 제2, 3악장을 통해서 변형, 발전, 회상 되어서 전곡이 유기적 통일성을 이루고 있다. 그리고 각 악장마다 조성, 속도, 리듬, 강약, 박자등이 다양하게 변화되어 각 부분의 감정표현을 충실히 하고 있으며 반음계적인 선율과 온음계적인 선율진행 감7화음, 9화음등이 대위법적 기법과 함께 잘 조화되어 나타나 있다. 그리하여 이 작품은 매우 섬세하고 서정적이 면서도 장엄한 그의 음악적 특징이 잘 나타나있으며 특히 피아노는 전음역에서 여러 형태의 기교적 발전을 하며 관현악 부분과 잘 조화되어 있어 후기 낭만피아노 협주곡의 절정을 이룬다.;S.V. Rachmaninoff(1873-1943) was one of the finest pianists and also a composer in the early 20th century. He was not affected by the new radical mainstream of the music of his contemporaries and remained firmly in the romantic tradition. Rachmaninoff's piano style stemmed directly from the romantic masters of the West, especially Chopin and Liszt. His piano style is massive, florid, a colossal baroque oddly placed against an eclectic Russian background. He also used chromatic scale, dissonances, counterpoint, large range and harmonic implication. His four pieces of Piano Concerto which contain Russian folk melodic elements consist of lyrical themes and a mechanical piano and well harmonied orchestration. These pieces show well his musical characteristics, lyricism and magnificiency. The purpose of this study is to investigate the musical characteristics and techniques of Rachmaninoff through his Piano Concerto in a minor Op. 30 No.3. As an approach to this study, first the general types of his music has been investigated and then his piano Concerto No.3 has been studied. The Piano Concerto No.3, like other classic piano concertos, consists of three movements. The first movement is free sonata form. The second is three-part form and the third movement is sonata form. Especially the first includes expanded cadenza. The melody of this work is composed within the fifth interval which is the element of Russian folk music and is very delicate and lyrical, As the first and second theme of the first movement is transformed, developed, and repeated in the second and third movement, this concerto takes total organic unity. Rachmaninoff composed freely without being limited by forms or tonality. He made music beautiful and gave varities with rhythm, meter, tempo and dynamics. He also used chromatic scale, diminished seventh chords and ninth chords, counterpoint, large range and harmonic implication. The solo piano being developed in gamut with various form and well harmonied with orchestral music reach the climax of romantic piano concerto.
