자연섬유를 이용한 미술의상

Abstract

의상은 생활을 영위하기 위한 기능을 가진 조형의 한 분야로써 신체와 일체가 되어 하나의 이미지를 창조해 왔다. 또한 움직이는 인체에 입혀지므로 여러가지 제약을 받으면서도 직접적인 인간의 표현장이 되고 있다. 그러므로 의상은 단순히 '입는다'라는 개념만이 아니라 '치장한다'라는 개념이 포함된다. 단순한 착장의 기능에서 출발한 의상도 한걸음 더 나아가 인체를 통한 미적감각과 재료와의 조화에서 조형성을 추구하여 일반적인 의상개념에서 탈피하여 미술의상으로 발전하게 되었다. 이러한 미술의상은 상징화된 이미지를 표현하는 조형예술의 하나로 발전되어갔고 다양한 표현방법으로 창조적인 시각예술의 탐구에 중요한 매개체가 되고 있다. 본 연구자는 이러한 미술의상의 탐구방법을 찾는데 있어서 인간문화발전과의 밀접한 연관성을 가지면서 시각적 촉각적 질감을 갖는 장점의 타피스트라(Tapestry)기법을 이용하여 미술의상작품을 제작하고자 하였다. 타피스트리기법을 미술의상에 접목하는 것은 작품을 해나가면서 작가의 의도대로 평면에서 부조, 입체까지 다양한 질감으로 창출해낼 수 있기 때문이다. 작품은 총 8작품으로 핸드위빙(Hand Weaving)을 사용하여 반복된 패턴을 갖지 않는 독창적인 형태로의 형성과정에 중점을 두고 작품을 제작하였다. 재료는 자연소재로 한정지어 사이잘삼, 한지, 마사, 연사, 노끈등을 사용하였다. 표현방법에 있어서는 타피스트리기법을 이용하여 시각적, 촉각적 질감을 표현한 의상을 제작하였다. 본 작품은 사람의 개성을 표현하고 인체를 움직이는 조각으로 표현하는 미술의상을 장식적 개념으로만 한정지워졌던 타피스트리와 상호작용시켜 새로운 차원의 예술체계로 발전시킴과 동시에 다량생산하는 의상디자인에 새로운 모티브를 줄 수 있는 계기가 되었으면 한다.;It is regarded that the human desire of healthy and fresh life as the basic ones of man trying self-completeness. For the purpose of solving this desire problem, scientific techniques are applied and used to our lives. But scientific and techinical application includes many problems of environmental destruction and polution and, etc. It is started as the opposite moves for these harmful side effects that is revealing method of subjective emotions and spilits. This inner-self expression is analyzed as human strong will in order to combine human life with nature. As metioned before, art and fashion design have become various style and the ways of expression affected by varidation of societyand epoch. So, art and fashion design have been presented emotions and feelings of our ages. Also, art wear which describes symbolized image and model of human inner-life has become a important medium of creative visual-form researchs in the field of formative arts. In this paper, 'art to wear' having visual sensual sense of quality with tapestry will be manufactured ,maintaining close relationship with human cultural development by means of hand weaving method through human body that looked to be moving sculpture in 3-dimentional space. Total 8 pieces of work are made using hand weving method. Formative wears are made ,putting emphasis on formation process with various materials, under original and particural type that does not have iterative patterns. That is, regarding wears as a soft piece by escaping from the thoght of popular wears are standard. For the purpose of close connected relationship between art and wears, not intend to represent artist's artic incitement by putting wears on body but realizes artic wears representing artic images.
