선의 집적에 의한 대상표현에 관한 연구

Abstract

What is root and trunk in human's formatine (mou1ding)activity is to What that is dot, line and featares of arts. Such a Basic language of art has never been reduced in its function or meaning regardless of the current and tendency of the times, and reached to the today's. Of course,such formative components is not and exception in moulding modern arts. Which is the most advansed and forwarded, and becomes more impotant in dying and technical arts. Thus, the purpose of this study was to create new images by using line whose function was the most impotant among formative component. Thoretical background was based on literature review and explained about functions and meanings of line and an etching dying method that originated from a woodcut print and drawing which was called arts of line. The line-changed by texture and dying method was studied througt process of producing a work. For producing the work, expressional matters, material and techmegres, and background of its working was reviewed. The results as follows: 1. Among the basis of formative arts, dot, line, figune and colour, line had functioned importantly in the would of oriental and western arts. Especially, dying handicraft also had tried to express indefinite lines by deviding figures or a causal effects. Hereby,a meaning of line can be added into the basis as definite and main expressional function. 2. The functions of line is unlirited, and could be expressed indefinitly following by researcher's life style and exthetical altitude. Etching technique of drawing or woodcut print also could result a variety of examples as well dying handicrafts. Therefore, the nature of limitness of expressions was overcomed by using the varified lines. 3. It is very difficult to express a variety of lines in dying handicrafts through the medium of dyestuffs. However, because my lineal component could be expressed with the original various techniques, the oriental mood could be expressed. On processing the work, picterial components were resulted more strongly than technical ones by focusing linear expression. landscape scenery was slected as the subject in order to express Lines which had a variety of lineal choices and oriental picture mood. Even though the limited subject could not brought various figures, it would devote to making efforts for extending dying and technical method to express a variety of line.;조형예술에 있어서 형성의 기본적인 시각적 어휘들은 어느 시대나 어느 조류속에서도 기능이나 의미가 축소되지 않고 오늘에 이르고 있다. 물론 이러한 조형요소들은 전위적인 현대미술들에서도 예외일수는 없으며 또한 염색공예에서도 중요한 조형적 요소임에 틀림이 없다. 이에따라 본 연구는 기본적 요소중 그 기능이 가장 중요한 것의 하나인 선을 통하여 대상의 이미지의 표현가능성을 모색하는데 연구목적이 있다. 이를위한 이론적 배경을 위해 선의 기능과 의미 그리고 가히 선의 예술이라할 드로잉과 판화의 에칭기법에서 비롯된 에칭염법을 문헌을 통하여 고찰하고 작품제작과정에서 도출된 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 일상적이면서도 지나치기 쉽고 소홀히 대하는 생활주변의 풍경을 주제로 선택하였다. 이 주제는 일반적으로 염색공예의 소재로는 선택되지 않는 것이었으나 가장 선적인 요소를 가장 풍부하게 가진 주제인 동시에 에칭염법의 특성을 잘 드러낼 수 있는 주제로 도시 및 자연풍경을 선택하게 되었다. 2. 조형예술의 기본을 이루는 점, 선, 면, 색채중 선을 모든 미술에 중요한 기능임을 확인할 수 있었고 특히 염색공예에 있어서 우연한 번짐에 의한 표현과 함께 작의적인 선의 표현을 통해 표현주제로서의 선의 효과적인 기능을 확인할 수 있었다. 3. 선의 기능은 무한한 것으로 에칭염법에 따른 특유한 효과의 하나로 선의 집적에 의할 표현의 가능성을 염색에서도 발견할 수 있었다. 4. 표현주체로서의 선적인 요소가 강조된 작업과정에서 비롯된 염색공예적 의미와는 또 다를 작업결과가 부담스러웠으며 또한 작업상 재료가 천막지(천연섬유)로 한정되어야만 했던 점을 앞으로 극복해야 할 문제점으로 등장하였고 앞으로의 노력과 창의적 사고를 통하여 해결해 나가야 하겠으며 탈색제를 사용한 역 에칭기법의 가능성을 발견한 것을 작업과정중에 얻은 큰 성과라고 생각된다. 이 역에칭기법을 더욱 발전시켜 새로운 염색공예기법을 제시함으로써 염색공예 분야의 영역을 확장시킬수 있도록 노력하고자 한다.
