시각적 재구성으로서의 꽃과 열매에 관한 연구

Abstract

자연현상의 조화는 완벽하고 질서정연하며 이 자연은 인간에게 무한한 의미를 지니고 있는 것으로 인간의 끊임없는 관찰과 표현의 대상이 되어 왔다. 조형예술에 있어서의 자연의 관찰과 모방의 관념은 필연적인 것이나 현대에서는 작가에 따라 알맞은 소재와 새로운 조형성을 추구하면서 창조적 세계를 표현하고 있다. 염색공예 역시 작가의 주관과 미의식에 따라 조형예술로서의 가치추구를 위한 작품활동이 여러가지 시각과 기법으로 자신의 이미지를 표현하고 있다. 즉 그 표현은 창조적인 표현이 되며 예술가의 내적논리와 표현양식의 일체성을 통하여 예술작품이 이루어지는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 심오한 자연의 섭리속에서 조형요소를 추출하여 조형성을 추구하고자 항상 우리에게 아름다움과 보는 즐거움을 주는 꽃과 열매를 소재로 하여 자연의 대상에 생명력을 부여하고 염색기법을 통하여 자연의 질서있는 공간형성을 시도하려는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 이론적 배경에서는 작품의 근거가 되는 자연과 그것을 표현하는 예술에 대해서 알아보며 대상의 발견과 표현으로서의 시지각, 시점의 변화를 살펴봄으로써 작품의 근거를 삼고자 한다. 작품 제작 및 분석에서는 대상을 표현하는데 있어서 접사적인 표현과 미시적이고 거시적인 이원적 표현의 의미와 특징을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 자연은 미적인 창조에 대해 무한한 소재를 제공해 주며 이것은 예술가에 의해 새롭고 독창적인 세계가 창조될 수 있었다. 둘째, 표현에 있어서의 시지각이론에 입각한 적절한 조형패턴으로의 표현은 주관적인 자연의 재구성을 위해 필요하였으며 조화있는 작품을 제작하기 위한 중요한 이론적 근거가 되었다. 세째, 미시적으로 표현된 꽃과 열매의 부분과 전체의 거시적 형태들을 대비적으로 조화시키는 방법은 그 꽃과 이미지를 고조시키며, 나아가 자연의 질서와 무한한 공간을 표현하기에 적절하였다. 이 기법을 사용하면서 제작과정에서 발견된 문제점은 다음과 같다. 1)꽃을 표현하는데 있어서 일관된 형태가 대부분 군집을 이루어 형성된 결과 다양한 구도와 형태로 변화있는 공간과의 조화로운 배치가 미비하였다. 2) 제작과정에서 air-brush를 사용하면 염료가 섬유속에 완전히 착염되지 않고 위에 얹히게 되어 채도가 낮아지고 많이 뿌리면 번지기 쉬우므로 염료가 마른 후에 뿌리는 과정을 여러번 반복해야 하며, 증열처리후에는 채도가 높아지므로 이 점을 염두에 두어야 한다. 3) 마스킹테이프( masking-tape )의 반복사용으로 섬유에 보푸라기가 생기게 되어 염료가 번지기 쉬우므로 주의해야하며, 마스킹테이프가 붙여진 부분의 바탕을 잘 파악할 수 없어서 염료색의 명도파악에 어려움이 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 해소하기 위해서 본 연구자는 앞으로의 끊임없는 연구와 작품활동으로 염료가 지니고 있는 표현가능성을 잘 개발하면 보다 나은 염색공예로서의 발전에 기여할 수 있을 것이라는 결론에 이르렀다.;As the symmetrical harmony of natural phenomena is impeccably in perfect order and the nature would bear an infinit significance to human beings, it has been become the object of human's incessant observation and expression. The observation toward the nature in terms of formative art and the concept of imitation is to be an inevitable consequence. However, depending on each individual artist, it has been expressed by his or he creative world in pursuit of befitting materials and newer formativeness. Dyeing handicraft is also expressed in accordance with the subjective point of view and the aesthetic sense of each individual artist for the very image of his or her own by a series of works activities in pursuit of the value as formative art with various visual angles and techniques. In other words, such an expression would become a creative manifestation, and the artistic works is constituted through the intrinsic logic of artists and the unity of expressive modes. Firstly, nature provides infinite materials for aesthetic creation, and this can be created by the artists as a new and original world. Secondly, the expression as an appropriate formative pattern based on the theory of visual sensory perception in terms of its representation was turned out to be necessary for the reconstitution of subjective nature, and it has become an important theoretical basis in order to manufacture harmonious works as well. Thirdly, he method to contrastively harmonize the flowers expressed in aesthetic visual point of view, the part of their fruits and the entire macroscopic forms of the flowers and the fruits would enhance the flowers and the image, and furthermore, it was appeared to be proper for expressing the order of nature and its boundless space The points at issue discovered in the manufacturing process through the use of this technique were as follows 1) In expressing the flowers, as the result of a consistent form constituting its most part of congregation a series of changes have been brought out to diversified composition and forms in this regard, Therefore, this study is intended to seek its object as an attempt to form the space with orderly nature through dyeing technique by furnishing a vitality on the object of nature with the flowers and fruits that would give us a beauty and the delight to look at them in pursuit of the formativeness by extracting formative elements among profound dispensation of the nature. For this purpose, in an aspect of theoretical background, a series of studies are aimed a t seeking the nature that would be the basis of works and its expressive art, and at the same time , these are desired to adopt them as the basis of works through observing the changes of visual sensory perception and a point of view, On the other hand, in an aspect of works manufacture and its analysis, following conclusions wereobtained upon analyzing a close-up expression and an aesthetic and macroscopically dualistic expressive meaning as well as the specific character : The harmonious placement with the space was revealed to be not in order, 2) In the process of manufacture, when using air-brush the dyestuffs would not be totally dyes into a fiber and thus the chroma tends to be lowered as it is subject to be placed on the fiber, and if sprinkled, as it tends to be blotted, after the dyestuffs are completely dried, such a process should be repeated for a number of times, Follwing the disposition of steaming, as the chroma would be elevated, this problem should be borne i n mind. 3) As it would be the case that fluffs may get occurred on the fiber due to the repeated use of masking-tape, a thorough care should be paid not to have the dyestuffs get blotted, and because of the difficulty of being unable to grasp the bottom of the part adhered with the maskingtape, there would be some difficulties to grasp the luminosity of dyestuffs color. In order to solve these kinds of difficult problems, this researcher has reached the conclusion that it may be contributable to the progress for materializing far better dyeing handicraft if developing the expressive possibility that would be borne by the dyestuffs through a series of constant studies and works activities in the years ahead.
