실험기구의 변화가 복사에너지 실험수업에 미치는 영향

Abstract

과학 수업에서의 실험은 교사와 학생에게 다른 방법으로는 얻기 어려운 흥미와 현장감을 준다. 그러므로 실험에 사용되는 기구는 실험의 목표가 어렵지 않게 전달될 수 있는 간단하고 쉽게 이해될 수 있는 것이라야 한다. 본 연구는 교과서의 「태양복사에너지』와 「복사평형」의 실험기구 대신 연구자가 새롭게 제작한 실험기구가 과학교사들이 이 두 실험에 대해 갖는 문제점 해결에 도움이 될 수 있는가를 알아보고, 통제집단의 학생들과 실험집단 학생들의 실험목표에 대한 성취도를 비교, 조사하였다. 연구의 대상은 서울지역의 이 두 실험을 지도한 경험이 있는 과학교사 77명과 서울지역의 중학교 1학년 여, 남 각각 2반씩이었으며 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 6차 교육과정에서 대기와 물의 순환 단원이 중학교 1학년의 교육과정에서 중학교 2학년의 교육과정으로 옮겨진 것에 대한 교사들의 반응은 긍정적이었다. 2. 「태양복사에너지」실험에 대해 교사들은 학습의 내용이 어렵고 실험시간이 너무 많이 걸린다고 생각하며, 「복사평형」실험에 대해서는 지도가 비교적 용이하나 빛의 표현방법에 있어서 갈등을 느끼고 있었다. 3. 대부분의 교사가 이 두 실험의 동시 실시에 대해 긍정적인 생각을 갖고 있었고, 동시실험에 필요한 새로운 실험기구의 개발을 원하고 있었다. 4. 직선 필라멘트 전구와 새롭게 제작된 스티로폼 지구모형을 사용하여 실험한 결과, 실험에 필요한 시간을 줄일 수 있었고 여, 남학생 모두 실험목표에 대한 성취도가 증가하였다. 따라서 실험수업에 사용되는 실험기구는 될 수 있으면 자연의 형상에 가깝게 만들어져야 하며, 교과과정에서 실험내용의 변화와 함께 실험기구의 변화로 이루어져야 한다. 그리고 이 변화의 작업에는 학생들의 수준을 가장 잘 이해하고 그들과 같이 생활하는 현직교사들의 참여가 반드시 필요하다고 할 수 있다.;The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence by the change of experimental apparatus used in the experimental class of "solar radiant energy" and "radiation equilibrium". The followings are the cons- equence of investigation. 1. The teachers' responses to the lesson of "circulation of atmo- sphere and water" has been changed for the second grade curriculum in middle school from first grade, are affirmative. 2. As for the "solar radiant energy", the teachers think its contents are difficult and it takes a lot of time in experiment, and as for the "radi- ation equilibrium" they feel easy in guidance but difficulty in expression method for the light. 3. Most of teachers have affirmative opinion about simultaneous execution of the above two experiments and also, want any new apparatus required for the simultaneous experiments to be developed, 4. Experiments with a "straight filament bulb" and a "styrofoamed glove model" made by the researcher can diminished the time required in experiment and also it makes both schoolboys and girls' degree of achievement in the object of the experiments improved. This research was for the effect of use of the apparatus newly made with improvement in the problems of the experimental apparatus in progress of the researcher teaching the "solar radiant energy" and "radiation equilibrium", and the result was very effective in reducing the experiment time. It is difficult to generalize the conclusion of the improve- ment in achieving the object of experiment so that the succeeding research is required for this subject.
