모로코 민속복식을 응용한 현대복식디자인 연구

Abstract

Nowadays the majority of folk costume have disappeared, the style of costume has been developed into a worldly United common style. But folk costume that have kept primitive beauty and pure naturality inspire fashion designer with a new design source and offers a new expressional style for modern wear. The purpose of this study is to explore new design possibilities to create modern wear through an analyzation on Morrocan folk costume which is located in Africa, but is closed to Europe and keeps Islamic culture in their mind by being invaded Arab, that is, is coexisted various cultures. The contents of this study was composed of geohistorical, religious, artical circumstances on Morrocan folk costume as a theorical circumstance, concrete characters of Morrocan folk costume and Morrocan style costume applied to modern wear. So as to achieve this study I gathered literatures and obtained reference materials in Morroco, after analyzing the characteristic features of Moroccan costume. Then based on these findings 8 modern costume with Morrocan traditional image were produced. The result of this study be summerized as follows: First, morrocan folk costume that mixed three cultures of Africa, Islam, Europe made out a very good source of design inspiration to express a world wide mixed style as a modern fashion tendency. Secondly, simple silhouette and traditional ornaments (turban, gold thread, gemetrical figures etc.) room for developement to various design factors applied modern wear. Thirdly, in modern wear design, folk costume not applied a proto type itself, but motives that are obtained it. Therefore we should made out the style of new expression on modern wear as we realized expressional methods of folk costume and infinite ornamental possibilties. By studying the way to connect Morrocan folk costume with modern wear, the unique style of expression and various materials on Morrocan folk costume formed modern wear style. Hence by producing real works, modern people adoration on exotic things can express the application of Morocan folk costume.;오늘날 각 나라의 민속복식은 사라지고, 의생활의 양식은 보편화, 공통화의 추세를 보이고 있다. 그러나 문화의 중심세력에서 떨어져 있어 원시적인 미와 순수한 자연미를 간직한 민속복식은 디자이너에게 새로운 영감을 주고 이를 통해서 민속복식은 현대복식의 새로운 표현방향을 제시해주고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 아프리카에 위치하지만 유럽과 가깝고 아랍의 침입으로 이슬람 문화를 가져 다양한 문화가 섞인 신비의 나라, 모로코 민속복식의 주요한 특징을 연구하여 현대복식에 응용함으로써 새로운 표현방법을 찾는데 그 목적을 두었다. 연구의 내용은 이론적 배경으로서 모로코의 지리적, 역사적, 종교적, 예술적 배경을 알아보고 이들이 복식에 미친 영향을 알아보았다. 그리고 모로코 민속복식의 구체적인 특징과 현대복식에 나타난 모로코풍 민속 복식을 살펴보았다. 연구 방법은 이론적 배경의 연구를 위한 문헌조사와 참고작품을 표집하여 그 민속적 특징을 분석한 후 그것을 토대로 작품을 제작하였다. 작품은 모로코 민속적 이미지를 연출하는데 중점을 두어 총 8점을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아프리카의 원시적인 미, 유럽의 문명화 된 미, 이슬람의 신비스러움 이 세가지 문화가 혼합된 모로코 민속복식은 현대 패션 경향인 세계적 혼합성을 표현하는데 아주 좋은 디자인 영감의 원천임을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 모로코의 대표적인 의상인 Djellaba의 심플하고 간결한 실루엣과 드레이프형으로 두르는 Izar는 입체적이고 다양한 실루엣을 연출하여 현대 의상디자인에서 새로운 입체적이고 조형적인 의상으로 변화시킬 수 있었다. 셋째, 터번, 자수, 기하학적 무늬 등의 모로코 전통적 장식은 현대복식에 부분적으로 응용시켜 다양한 이국적 정서를 가진 디자인 요소로 개발할 여지가 많다. 현대 복식 디자인에서 민속복식은 원형 그대로가 아닌 고유민속의상으로부터 얻은 모티브가 응용되고 있다. 따라서 민속복식의 표현방법에 대한 재현과 무한한 장식적 가능성을 재인식 함으로써 현대복식의 새로운 표현방식을 찾을 수 있다. 이상의 결과로 모로코 민속복식의 독특한 표현 방법과 다양한 재료가 현대복식으로 형상화되었으며 실제 작품제작을 통하여 현대인들의 이국적인 것에 대한 동경을 모로코 민속복식의 응용으로 표현할 수 있을 것으로 본다.
