스카프 디자인의 추상적 표현 연구

Abstract

옛부터 인간의 미에 대한 욕망과 추구는 끊임없이 계속되고 발전되어 왔으며 이를 위한 미적 표현이 여러 방법에 의해 계승되어 왔다. 그 결과 예술가에 의한 미술과 더불어 생활에 반영된 미적 표현으로 이루어졌다. 따라서 일상생활에서 더욱 풍요로운 생활을 실현시키는데 미술은 없어서는 안될 존재가 되었고 또한, 산업혁명 이후 생산 방식의 발달에 따라 인간을 위한 디자인 창출은 그 전문성이 더욱 요구되었다. 이러한 현상은 디자인 뿐만 아니라 실용을 위한 응용미술에서도 나타나고 있으며, 특히 섬유미술은 부드러운 촉감과 시각적으로 다양한 표현성 때문에 신체적, 정신적욕구를 충족시키는 소재로서 지속적으로 연구되어 왔다. 또한 ‘제2의 피부’ 라고도 불리우는 섬유는 과거에 신체 보호의 목적에서 현대의 패션에 이르기까지 그 범위가 더욱 확장되고 다양해졌다. 따라서 신체적 보호기능과 함께 개성을 중시하는 현대인들에게 각자의 감각을 연출할 수 있는 장식적인 섬유로서 스카프는 다양한 소재와 디자인으로 현대인들의 미적감각을 충족시켜 주고 있다. 그러나 우리나라의 패션산업의 역사는 시간적 배경이 짧고 세부적인 디자인 분야의 발달이 미약하여 스카프와 같은 악세사리 분야에서 디자인의 전문성이 요구되고 있는 시점이다. 본 논문은 스카프의 역할이 실용성 보다는 장식성을 요구하는 현대 패션의 흐름에 맞게 독특한 개성을 연출할 수 있는 독창적인 스카프 패턴 디자인의 가능성을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적에 따른 이론적 연구로서 우리 나라와 서양의 스카프에 대한 발달 과정을 문헌을 통하여 고찰하였으며 현재 국내 스카프 디자인에 대한 현황 파악을 하여 디자인 가치창출에 있어서 실용을 겸비한 창의적인 스카프 패턴 디자인 개발을 모색하고자 한다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 작품을 제작함에 있어서는 작가의 내적 표현으로 인한 패턴을 디자인하여 독특하며 고부가치의 창의적인 디자인을 원하는 현대인들의 미적욕구를 충족시킬 수 있다. 따라서 작가의 내면세계를 독창적으로 표현하여 예술성을 담을 수 있는 디자인으로 현대미술에 지대한 영향을 준 추상적 표현에서의 선과 도형으로 본인의 주관적 세계를 디자인화 하였다. 이로 인하여 형식적이며 보편화 되어 있는 스카프 디자인에서 탈피하여 독창적인 스카프 패턴 디자인을 연구함으로 현대 패션에서 요구하는 스카프 디자인을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 스카프 디자인 제작에 있어서는 전문적인 디자이너뿐만 아니라 섬유 공예가의 관심과 참여의 장(場)을 여는데 기여하고자 한다.;From the past, human desire and pursuit for beauty have continued and developed, and asethetic expression for this has also been succeded in many ways. As a result, asthetic expression reflected on life has been made with art by artists. Accordingly, art has become an inevitable existence to realize more prosperous life, and design creation for human beings become to demand more specialty with the development of manufacturing patterns since the industrial revolution. This phenomenon appears not only in a design, but also in adapted art, and especially, fabric art has continuously been studied a s a material to satisfy physical, emotional desire because of its soft feeling and various visual expressions. Also, a fiber called 'the second skin' came to have more extended purposes from protectiong the skin to modern fashion. Accordingly, a scarf is fulfilling modern people's asthetic sense with its various materials and designs so that people can express their own sense. However, the history of fashion industry is short, and the development of specific design fields are feeble, so a design specialty in accessory filed like a scarf is in need. This thesis has a purpose to suggest the possibility of unique scarf pattern design which can express unique individuality in the modern fashion flow which demands decorative character more than practical one. As a theoretical study with this purpose, I examined the developing process of Korea and western countries through the relevant literature, and tried to search for the development of a creative scarf pattern design by grasping the present situation of domestic scarf design. In producing a work based on this theoretical background, a pattern with an artist's inner expression is designed, and that can astisfy modern people's aesthetic desire for creative, high value added design. Accordingly, I made my own design with lines and figures in abstract expression which affected modern art greatly and a expression which affected modern art greatly and a design which can hold artistic value by expressing an artist's inner world unquely. I'd like to suggest a scarf design demanded in modern fashion by escaping from a formalistic, universalized scarf design and studying a unique scarf design. Also, in producing a scarf design, I'd like to contribute to the interest and participation of specialized designers and fiber craftsmen.
