클림트 회화의 장식적 문양을 응용한 복식디자인 연구

Abstract

Modern dress and its ornaments have the characteristics of general modeling art and their peculiarity is being emphasized more. Therefore, various dress designs and the development of expression pattern a needed, and the necessity of related studies is also rising this study has a purpose to suggest high value added dress and its ornament by studying and employing the artistic value of Klimt painting, and to expand the unique expression of dress by attempting the new possibility of felt rechnique As theoretical backgroumd, I examined general artistic world and ornamental characteristics of Klimt painting, and investigated the relation between dress and painting. Also, to apply the characteristics and expression technique of felt to dress effectively, I examined works through books and photos. On the basis of the research, I produced total eight pieces of work by using handicraft technique to get the high quality image of felt, and reconstructing the motive of Klimt painting. The result of this study is a s follows. First, I could express cubic effects by applying plane painting to dress. Second, I searched for an ideal harmony with the combination of dress and painting, and got a new result of new dress modeling art Third, applyihg the ornamental motive of Klimt painting to modern dress and its ornaments, I created a new image Fourth, the ideal aspects felt fabric showed more effective modeling character in dress art. In this study, I emphasized the patterns in applying the world of Klimt painting to dress, and made a harmonious composition with a new application As a result, a new approach and attempt of design showed the infinite possibilities of production. Accordingly, there shoud be various new challenge and studies and continuous efforts.;현대복식은 회화나 건축과 같은 일반 조형 예술의 특성을 공유하고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 그 독창성이 더욱 강조되고 있으며, 개성화를 지향하는 감각산업으로 다품종 소량 생산 지향으로 나아가고 있다. 이에 따라 다양한 복식 디자인과 소재, 기법등의 표현 양식의 개발이 요구되고 있으며, 연구의 필요성도 증가하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 클림트 회화의 아르누보적인 장식문양을 재구성하여 모티브로 도입하였으며, 이를 복식 소재로 표현함에 있어서 조형성이 강한 펠트기법과 비이딩 기법을 사용하여, 풍부한 재질감을 표현함으로써 클림트 회화의 아르누보적인 화려하고 장식적인 이미지를 창출하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 펠트기법의 새로운 가능성을 시도함으로써 복식의 독창성있는 표현 영역을 확대하고,클림트회화의 장식문양을 도입한 수공예적인 복식을 연구함으로써, 예술적인 복식디자인의 개발 가능성을 제시함에 있다. 본 연구의 내용및 방법은 이론적 배경으로서, 문헌 고찰을 통해 클림트 회화의 전반적인 고찰과 그 바탕이 되는 아르누보 회화를 연구하고, 클림트 회화에 나타나는 장식적 특성을 분석해 보고, 이를 응용하기 위해 복식과 회화의 관계를 참고 작품으로 표집하여 종합·검토하였다. 또한 직물이 역사와 함께 기원전부터 있어온 펠트의 특성과 표현기법을 복식에 효과적으로 응용하기 위해, 복식 디자인에 응용된 문헌 및 자료사진으로 표집된 작품들을 통해 알아보았다. 이를 토대로 클림트 회화의 장식문양을 모티브로 재구성하여 복식에 도입한 작품 총 8점을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 클림트 회화의 아르누보적인 다양한 선과 문양은 복식 디자인의 풍부한 장식적인 모티브로 적합하였다. 둘째, 펠트 섬유는 따뜻하고 유연한, 독특한 재질감과 함께 염색에 의한 풍부한 색채 표현이 가능하고, 다양한 형태 구성이 용이하므로, 클림트 회화이미지를 표현하는데에 있어 보다 효과적인 조형성과 재질감을 보여줄 수 있는 복식소재로 적합하였다. 셋째, 펠트 소재의 독특한 기법은 클림트 회화의 장식문양을 입체적으로 표현할 수 있게 하였으며, 비 이딩 기법은 장식적이고 고급스러운 이미지를 얻을 수 있게 하였다. 또한 펠트기법은 컬러, 재질, 선의 다양성을 가지고 장식적인 액센트를 주는데에 효과적이었다. 넷째, 복식과 회화와의 예술적 요소들의 결합으로 이상적 조화를 추구하였다. 본 연구는 클림트의 장식적 문양을 복식에 도입함에 있어 아르누보적인 특징적인 선과 문양을 모티브로 사용하였다. 그러므로 앞으로는 클림트 회화에 있어서 보다 다양한 장식적 조형세계를 적극적으로 응용하여 복식디자인에서 더 폭넓은 클림트회화의 예술성이 표현되어지기를 바란다. 그리고 펠트의 예술성에 기능성을 조화시켜 복식에 있어서 고부가 가치 창출의 연구와 함께 예술의 실용화도 이루어졌으면 한다.
