判定疑問文의 對答에 관한 연구

Abstract

This thesis aims to rearrange the characteristics of the answer to Korean yes-no question, to make a suggest for learner's understanding in regard of teaching Korean as a foreign language. Korean yes-no question, as one of interrogative classification on the basis of question and answer form, has many meanings. In this thesis, among many meanings, I regarded plain question, guess question, confirmation question, request question, command question, repeat question as meangingsdemanding answer. And I examined the form of answer to those meanings As for the form of answer to yes-no question, there are differnces between plain question, guess question, '-지‘ confirmation question and other questions. The former is general, and the later is particular. And the form of answer to affirmative yes-no question is simple, but the form of answer to negative yes-no question is relatively complex. To make a suggest for learners' understanding of Korean yes-no question and answer, I investigated the Korean text books and operated a test for measuring the degrees of understanding of learners. As to Korean textbooks, there are what introduce the general answer to negative yes-no question and what doesn't. In the test, I considered characteristics of learned contents, contents of textbooks, learner's mother tongue, learning level as factors influencing on learner's understanding. In result of the test, two factors - learned contents and contents of textbooks influenced on learner's understanding. According to the characteristics of Korean yes-no question, the rate of right answer of the affirmative question was higher than that of the negative question, and the rate of right answer of plain, guess, '-지' confirmmation question was higher than that of other questions. And the rate of right answer of learners, who use the textbook which introduced the answer of negative question, was higher than that of learners, who use the textbook which doesn't. But other factors - learner's mother tongue, learning level have no influence on learner's understanding. So, this thesis suggests that the Korean textbooks introduce the answer to the Negative yes-no question, and that meanings of Korean yes-no question be presented through three steps.;이 논문은 한국어 판정 의문문의 대답에서 나타난 특징을 정리하고, 외국어로서의 한국어 교육의 관점에서 판정 의문문의 대답에 대한 학습자의 이해도를 높이기 위한 제안을 하는 것을 목표로 한다. 먼저 판정 의문문과 그 대답에 대해서 정리한 내용은 다음과 같다. 판정 의문문은 문답 형식에 따른 의문문 유형으로서, 여러 가지 의미 기능을 가지고 있으며, 긍정 의문과 부정 의문의 형식이 있다. 이 글에서는 여러 의미 기능 중에서 단순 의문, 추측 의문, 확인 의문, 요청 의문, 명령 의문, 반복 의문을 대답을 요구하는 의미 기능으로 보고, 그 대답의 의미와 형식을 살펴보았다. 판정 의문문의 대답은 의미 기능에 따라 긍정 의문과 부정 의문의 대답 형식이 달라진다. 긍정 의문의 대답이 일정하게 나타나는 반면, 부정 의문의 대답은 의미 기능에 따라 달라지는 복잡한 양상을 보인다. 단순 의문, 추측 의문,'-지' 확인 의문은 일반적인 판정 의문문 대답의 형식을 가지고 있지만, 부정 의문이 확인 의문으로 쓰이는 경우,'-었지 않아' 확인 의문, 요청 의문, 명령 의문, 반복 의문은 특수한 대답 형식을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대한 외국인 학습자의 이해도를 높이기 위한 제안을 하기 위해, 우선 기존 한국어 교재를 검토하고, 학습자의 이해도를 알아보기 위한 질문지 조사를 실시하였다. 교재를 검토한 결과, 대체로 초급 단계에서는 판정 의문문의 여러 의미 기능 중에서 단순 의문,'-지' 확인 의문, 요청 의문, 추측 의문이 나오며, 판정 의문문의 형식 중 긍정 의문이 먼저 나오고 나중에 부정 의문이 나왔다. 한편 긍정 의문과 부정 의문의 일반적인 대답의 경우 교재에 따라 실린 내용이 달랐다. 긍정 의문의 일반적인 대답은 모든 교재에 나오지만, 부정 의문의 경우 일반적인 대답을 소개한 교재와 그렇지 않은 교재가 있었다. 학습자의 이해도 조사에 앞서 이해도에 영향을 끼칠 요인으로 학습 내용의 특징, 교재 내용, 학습자의 모국어 습관, 학습 수준을 들었다. 그러나 학습자의 모국어 습관, 학습 수준은 이해도에 큰 영향을 주지 못했고, 학습 내용의 특징과 교재 내용이 학습자의 이해도에 상당한 영향을 준 것으로 밝혀졌다. 즉, 판정 의문문 대답의 특징에 따라 긍정 의문의 이해도가 부정 의문의 이해도보다 높게 나타났고, 단순, 추측, 확인 의문의 이해도가 요청, 명령 의문의 이해도보다 높게 나타났다. 그리고 부정 의문의 일반적인 대답이 실린 교재로 학습한 학습자의 이해도가 그렇지 않은 교재로 학습한 학습자의 이해도보다 높게 나타났다. 그런 이유로 이 논문은 부정 의문의 대답을 교재에 소개할 것과 판정 의문문의 의미 기능을 3단계에 걸쳐서 제시할 것을 제안한다. 1단계는 단순의문, '-지' 확인 의문, 추측 의문, 긍정 의문인 요청 의문이고, 2단계는 부정 의문인 요청 의문, 반복 의문이며, 3단계는 명령 의문, 부정 의문이 확인 의문으로 기능하는 경우, 서술 의문, 감탄 의문이다. 그리고 의미 기능에 속하지 않지만 판정 의문문의 일종인 부정사 의문문은 3단계에 제시하는 것이 바람직하다고 본다.
