'타임사이클(time cycle) 최소화'에 대한 시각표현 연구

Abstract

우리는 현대를 흔히 '스피드(speed)시대'라 일컬으며 모든 것들이 급속하게 변화하고 있고 그 변화는 점점 가속화 되어간다. 문명은 경제, 사회 등 우리 생활 전반에 걸친 획기적인 발전으로 편리함과 안락함을 이루어왔다. 가속화하는 사회 및 기술의 변화는 우리들이 적응해야 하는 단순한 변화가 아니라 가속화 그 자체이므로, 우리들은 변화하는 상황에 빨리 적응하고 개체화된 제품들을 경제적으로 생산할 수 있도록 지능을 발휘하는 도구들을 빠르게 마련하고 개선하고 발전시켜 나가야 한다. 그 도구들을 발전시켜감에 있어 최대의 효율성을 위해 '타임사이콜(time cycle)의 최소화' 등이 대두되고 있는데, 이것은 또한 시장경제체제에 있어서 경쟁력을 갖게 하는 요소가 되기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 점점 가속화되어 가는 변화 속에서 메가 트랜드(megatrends)로서의 전자중심도시의 중심요소가 되는 '타임사이클(time cycle) 최소화'의 개념과 양상을 고찰하고 그 방향을 시각화 하였다. 본 연구의 구성은 Ⅱ장에서 이론적 배경으로서 '타임 사이클'의 개념과 우리 생활 전반에 영향을 미치고 있는 실례와 방향, 문제점을 제시하고 Ⅲ장에서는 작품전개에 있어서 위의 내용을 바탕으로 빠르게 변화하는 사회 속에서 '타임 사이클의 최소화'의 현상들을 속도감 있는 선과 그리는 행위의 흔적, 제한된 색채의 사용으로 시각화하는 순서로 이루어 졌다. 이러한 연구를 토대로 산업문명이 가져다준 편리함을 긍정적 시각으로 평가하고, 인간의 미래의 생활상을 예견하고, 우리에게 변화하는 세계에 적극적으로 대처해 나갈 수 있는 세계관을 제시하며 대비할 수 있는 기회의 계기가 되기를 바란다.;They say the modern age is called "Speed Age", and everything changes fast. Civilization has brought great development in economy, society, and almost all over our lives, so we are enjoying convenience and comfortable life. Accelerating changes in social and technical areas are not simple changes which we have to adapt ourselves easily to, but an acceleration itself. We, therefore, should try to develop intelligent instruments so that we can accomodate ourselves to such speedy changes, and can manufacture an individualized product economicaly. In order to get the maximum efficiency in developing these instruments, minimization of Time Cycle is major point. Also, this point is a factor that strengthens competitveness in the market economy system. This study examines the mearning and trend of minimization of Time Cycleits as a major factor of the characteristics of Megatrends an electric-centered city, in the mid of fast changes. In Chapter Ⅱ of the study, the concept of Time Cycle as logical background, actual instances and problems of its influences in our general lives are studied. With the above points, Chapter Ⅲ visionizes phenomena of minimization of Time Cycle in an accelerating changing society, using lines, traces of painting act, and limited colours. The purpose is to give an opportunity to establish the concept of future society, which will come close soon in the shape of convenience and variety, so that we can enjoy happier lives.
